Party Poopers
Steve sighs, tiredly running hand through his hair. At first, he was convinced things would work perfectly. He admits, he didn’t want to throw Tony off the team, but it was for the best, because Steve doesn’t want to risk Tony finding out the truth about Bucky.
If that would to happen, Bucky would have no chance against Iron Man. Tony is a human, but he is a human that managed to go toe to toe with Gods and even The Hulk.
And Tony won the fight against The Hulk!
Steve expected Tony to protest, but to his surprise, Tony agreed to step down without fighting or arguing about it. He retired as Iron Man and left the Team, giving them new headquarters and equipment.
Everything was simple perfect until two week ago.
Stark Industries was the main source of Avengers founding. Tony gave them all his own credit cards to buy anything they wanted or needed, but since yesterday, those Cards all are frozen.
Not only that, The Quinjets are on lockdown and Pepper send them a contract, that states that Avengers will report to their “handler” Maria Hill.
Steve doesn’t get it. He is the leader of the Avengers, why should they report to Hill?!
But what’s worse, Pepper put them on a budget. They now have limited monthly reassures that simply aren’t enough to continue their lifestyle.
Steve tried to contact Tony, but Tony changed his personal number and his business phone is controlled by Friday, who kept saying. “Sorry, but Boss is busy at the moment.” and then simply hang out.
Natasha tried to go visit Tony at Avengers Tower, but Tony apparently isn’t living there anymore. From what the staff told them, he moved into a new Penthouse somewhere in New York, immediately after he was cleared of all charges from the Ultron fiasco.
So they tried to call Pepper, but she was too busy to talk with them and just send them to Rhodey, who didn’t pick up the phone, as he and Vision are still on private Mission from The US Air Force in Afghanistan.
Steve isn’t very close with neither Rhodey or Vision, despite both of them being on the team.
The Colonel, even when he is a soldier, acts sometimes too much like Tony and Steve isn’t sure how to feel about it. The Android on the other hand, completely freaks Steve out and Steve still excepts him to attack at any point they are in the same room.
Wanda defends Vision. She and The Android became surprising friends after Sokovia, which surprised Steve, because Vision is probably the closest thing, Tony has to a Son and Wanda hates Tony.
Or she did hate him, until Natasha, Rhodey and Vision took her to some record room and showed her proof, that Tony wasn’t really responsible for her Parents’s death.
She still dislikes Tony, but doesn’t spit out his name as if it was the biggest insult in the world and Steve is sure, that if it comes to it, she will support him against Tony to protect Bucky.
Sam is neutral in talk with Tony. He keeps saying that he doesn’t know the guy and he won’t create an option based on what people are talking about him. While Steve is little hurt, that Sam doesn’t trust his word, he can respect that.
They tried to contact Happy Hogan, but the Bodyguard told them that Tony wants to keep his new home’s location a secret for as long as he possibly can and Happy isn’t authorized to share that information with anyone, not even them.
Steve tried to protest, but Happy wouldn’t budge and it ended with them leaving with lowered heads.
But then, a few days ago, Tony was on the news. Apparently, he started going to night clubs and party again. Steve didn’t want to really believe it, thinking that Tony is past that kind of behavior, but then they all saw it.
There was video of Tony close dancing with two beautiful woman, but what surprised them even more was Tony’s appearance.
He looked at minimum, at least a decade younger then he did the last time they saw him. Not only that, but he looked more muscular and taller in figure. Even his beard didn’t look so strange anymore…
Natasha and surprisingly, Wanda, commented that he looked “Hot” and even Sam nodded along with their words. Steve on the other hand had only one question.
What the hell did Tony do to himself ?
Apparently, this night club that Tony visited is really famous and it used to be by his favorite in his younger days. There was no doubt, that if he returned to this lifestyle, that he wouldn’t visit on their anniversary event, that is this Friday.
So, Steve, Natasha, Wanda and Sam formed a plan to go to the nightclub themselves and talk with Tony about their new limitations and Steve would also discuss his lifestyle, because this, simply isn’t acceptable.
When Tony deals with Pepper, everything will go back to the way things were and everything will be perfect again.

“How are we going to find him in here?” Sam asks as they all enter the club.
Everybody around them is either drinking or dancing to some music, Steve found rather offensive. The only source of light in the large room is only few beams of green neon light, so it’s even harder then it seemed.
“I have no idea…” Steve admits, feeling really uncomfortable in here. He turns towards Wanda with hopeful expression. “Wanda? Can you find him with your powers?”
Wanda doesn’t acknowledge his question and keeps looking around them with almost lustful expression, as if she wanted nothing more then join the party and dance.
Steve frowns, touching her shoulder. “Wanda?”
“Hm?” Wanda snaps out of her thoughts “Oh. No, there is to many people in here… Sorry.”
Steve sighs, looking defeated. He doesn’t want to stay here longer then completely necessary and he mentally curses Tony for his attitude towards them.
“I don’t think finding Tony will be as hard as you think.” Natasha says, looking to the distance with dumbfounded look.
“What?” Steve turns to her, looking confused as Natasha released an exhausted sigh and points her finger behind them.
They all turn and collectively gasps from shock. They knew Tony changed, but seeing him in person is different then seeing him on TV.
Tony is wearing a leather jacket and black pants. His dark brown hair is for some reason wet and also longer from the last time they saw him. He is standing at the podium in front of the hall with a small crowd around him. In one hand he is holding his drink, but in the other, he is holding a microphone.
He is singing.
Tony Stark is singing on top of his lungs, standing on the top of the bar as some kind of God before his worshipers, who are all cheering on him, or drinking or dancing.
“I didn’t knew he could sing...” Wanda mutters, looking astonishing and surprised.
“Me neither.” Natasha admits with an unreadable expression. “I knew he could dance, but I never heard him sing...”
“This song doesn’t sound like something Tony would like…” Steve says, looking ahead disapprovingly.
Tony bends down towards some group of girls, and between the song kisses two if them, and then continues singing as if it was completely normal. The Song ends and everybody starts clapping and cheering as Tony grins and drops the microphone, bowing down and looking smugly in the process.
”Show off…” Natasha mutters, but with no heat behind her words.
Tony then jumps down off the bar, stealing someone’s drink and taking a sip, before grabbing some random blond girl, wearing silver dress and starting to dance with her, as music starts to play again.
Steve was ready to go scold him, but to his surprise, the girl laughs and throws her hands around Tony’s neck, pulling him closer and dancing along with him.
“Damn.” Sam mutters, looking at the scene with wide eyes. “I knew he was a player, but this is another level...”
To prove this statement even more true, Tony spins that girl around, pushing himself into her back and slowly leaning towards her neck, until his eyes meet theirs.
They expected many things, but Tony just smirked and winked at them, then shamelessly started kissing that girls neck, making her moan in pleasure, as she ran her hand through his wet hair.
Something in Steve snapped, because they all have problems and Tony, who was supposed to be helping them is here, dancing and making out with some random girl.
So he moved towards Tony without thinking to much about it and went to grab him by the shoulder and drag him outside, but before his hand could really touch Tony, The Genius caught his hand with his own.
Tony turned towards Steve, still holding his hand firmly in his hand, with no intention of letting go. “Keep your hands to yourself Rogers.”
The others quickly rushes towards them and Steve tried to break free from Tony’s grasp, but to ho avail.
Tony is stronger them him..
When Tony notices the others, he smirks and releases Steve, walking towards Natasha with amusement. “Hey Natashalie, wanna join the fun? I know you enjoyed the last party we were on.”
“Maybe.” Natasha teases, eyeing the girl that’s standing awkwardly with them, before turning to Tony. “Who is your friend?”
Tony looks at the girl and smiles. “I didn’t ask...”
“Andrea.” She tells him with a seductive wink, making him grin at her.
“Tony we need to talk.” Steve says, massaging his wrist, as his eyes travel to Andrea. “Alone.”
Tony raises an amused eyebrow at him, before turning back to Andrea, and giving her passionate kiss. “Sorry Sweetheart, maybe next time?”
“I will be waiting.” Andrea responds and then leaves them alone, walking towards the bar.
“So?” Tony questions, still looking in the direction Andrea left. “What do you want to talk about?”
“Stark Industries is cutting our founding.” Steve starts to explain. “Pepper sends us a long contract and gave us really low budget to spend and-“
“And how is that my problem?” Tony asks, looking bored. “I am not an Avenger anymore.”
“Tony.” Natasha starts softly. “Perhaps you could talk with Pepper? Make her drop this contract thing and-“
“Let me stop you right here.” Tony says, holding his finger up. “Pepper is the CEO of Stark Industries, not me. She is the Boss, if you don’t like your deals, talk with her.”
“But-“ Steve tries, but Tony starts backing away from them, looking bored.
“Be glad that she didn’t cut you off completely.” Tony says, looking towards the bar. “She could’ve throw you out on the streets the moment I officially resigned. If you want my advice, be glad for what you have been given and stop being greedy.”
“Greedy?!” Steve shrieks in disbelief, grabbing Tony by the jacked and pulling him back towards them. “Tony we need to solve this out here. We need that money!”
“Let me go.” Tony growls, his friendly manner completely gone, as his eyes glow dangerously Orange.
“Tony… Steve is just-“ Natasha starts to say, but goes completely still, when Tony dramatically lifts his hand up, thrilling his fingers, in really Wanda manner, around.
“I don’t care.” Tony says as his eyes glow even brighter and his hand start to smoke, before it is completely covered in fire. “Let’s make something perfectly clear. I am not your sugar Daddy. You want money? Get a fucking job.”
Tony slams his hand into a fist, killing the fire and giving them one last smugly smile, before turning and heading towards the bar.
“That could’ve gone better.” Sam mutters, completely shocked as Wanda’s eyes glow red, something only Steve notices.
Tony stops dead in his tracks. He turns back around, looking amused as he walks right in front Wanda, smirking. “Sorry beautiful, but my mind is no longer available to you.”
Wanda, while looking shocked and like a deer caught in highlights, flushes at the at the nickname, making Tony’s smirk only widen.
“Tony!” Steve shouts, ready to defend her.
“How did you do that?” Wanda interrupts, looking completely intrigued at Tony, her cheeks still slightly red.
Tony chuckles, leaning towards her ear and sending shivers down her spine. “Call Friday tomorrow and ask for my new address, and maybe.. I might just tell you.“
“Okay…” Wanda hesitantly says, staring at him with wide eyes.
Tony winks at her and goes on his own way, leaving the four Avengers looking at his retreating figure with wide and shocked face expressions.
“What the hell just happened?” Sam whispers, snapping them all out of their shocks.
“Tony wait!” Steve shouts, running behind The Genius to the exit.
Upon reaching the exit, Steve stops in the doorway, as the others catch up to him and they all see Tony standing outside with a teasing smirk, waiting for them.
“You really don’t know when to quit!” Tony chuckles, clapping his hands together in complete amusement. “Unfortunately for you, I have places to be in…”
A silver liquid starts to spread around Tony from nowhere, forming into an Iron Man suit around his body.
The Suit is a lot different from his other suits. Instead of Red and Gold, this one is Silver and Black, looking more sleeker and flexible then any suit before it.
The Helmet doesn’t form completely, leaving most of Tony’s face and Hair out in the open, as he smirks at them. “If you want to talk again, make an appointment with Friday. Bye!”
Before they can say anything, he burst into the air and quickly vanishes in the distance, leaving only confused and slightly worried Avengers behind.
Natasha is worried because Tony didn’t act friendly towards then at all, plus he refused to give them his support and is now Enhanced with what Natasha suspects is Extremis. Sam because he isn’t sure what to think about the man. Wanda because she has a date tomorrow? And Steve because Tony is clearly even more powerful then before.

“Friday?” Tony calls out to his AI as he drops on his balcony. “If Maximoff calls you tomorrow, give her our new address. But make it clear, that she has to come alone.”
“Are you sure Boss?” Friday questions, sounding hesitant. “She tried to kill you once upon a time.”
“She did.” Tony admits, carelessly landing on his couch. “But she is powerful, something that may come in handy in the future. Better to have her on my side then against me. Plus, I think I can help her learn more about her powers.”
”And the fact that she is cute, has nothing to do with it, Boss?” Friday asks, sounding amused and knowing.
“I won’t say no or yes.” Tony responds, smiling at the nearest camera. “Why? Are you jealous?”
“In your dreams Boss.”
