Summary
Y/N and Natasha have had feelings for each other for a while but they have been dancing around them, metaphorically and literally.

"They're never going to do anything with out a push!" Wanda reminded Clint.

"But if we push them too hard the moment wont be theirs." Clint then told Wanda. Wanda let out a groan even though she knew Clint was right. Wanda's eyes moved from one side of the room to the other. On the left you stood talking to Pepper and on the right Natasha stood talking to Sam and Steve. If Wanda focused hard enough, she could skim through both our their minds, without either of them noticing.

Y/N: Pepper and Tony are meant for each other.

Nat: I'm convinced Sam, Steve, and Bucky had a three way.

Y/N: What time is it?

Nat: I should go get some more vodka.

Y/N: I wish Nat would ask me to dance.

Nat: Y/N looks so beautiful tonight, drop dead gorgeous.

"A dance huh." Wanda spoke quietly.

"Wanda?" Clint asked as Wanda began to walk towards you. "Wanda! You didn't?" Clint whispered aggressively. Wanda didn't respond though she just kept walking.

"Y/N." Wanda said as she approached you.

"Wanda. You look stunning as always!" You told her. Wanda was wearing a black dress that was complemented nicely by a bright red belt.

"Not as stunning as you." Wanda said. You rolled your eyes. You had on a midnight purple dress, it was almost skin tight but you decided to leave some breathing room for this event.

"I told her the dress looked great but she always disagrees." Pepper through her hands up as you let out a small laugh.

"As the two most stunning women here we should dance." Wanda stated as she held a hand out for you to take. "No offense Pepper." She added.

"None taken, you two have fun." Pepper smiled as she turned around and found her way to Tony.

"Shall we?" Wanda asked. You plastered on a small smile and took her hand. You loved Wanda, she was one of your best friends and you had no problem dancing with her, you just wanted her to be Natasha. Wanda placed her hands a little bit above your waist and you placed yours loosely on her shoulders. There was a decent amount of space left between you as you danced.

As soon as Wanda stepped on the dance floor with you she could feel Natasha's red hot eyes burning on her. Of course she knew you didn't notice. She had a plan but it would only work if someone decided to cut in and ask if they could dance with Wanda. Shortly after you and Wanda began dancing Wanda had you laughing at the funniest things, it almost made you forget she wasn't Natasha. Almost.

"Can I steal a dance with Wanda?" Steve asked as he walked up next to you and Wanda.

"Oh, of course." You said letting go of Wanda and watching her and Steve begin to dance.

"Did you get my plan or are we really dancing?" Wanda asked as she whispered very quietly.

"I noticed Nat glancing over here every two seconds." Steve told Wanda. Wanda smiled. You stood in the middle of the dance floor awkwardly before finally deciding you should probably just get off it. As you turned around you bumped into the most breathtaking redhead alive.

"Leaving so soon?" Natasha asked. You had no words as you looked at her. She wore a red pants suit with a black undershirt. She looked perfect.

"Depends did you have anything in mind?" You finally spit out after way too long of not talking.

"I have a couple of ideas." Natasha grabbed your waist, a lot lower than Wanda did, and pulled you in close. You smiled as you placed your arms around Natasha's neck. There was no room in between you two. Your noses were basically touching as you both stared into each others eyes. You couldn't help but think back to the first time you and Natasha every danced together.

"What I never went to a school dance, not even my senior prom. No one asked me, I was so lame back then." You told her.

"I didn't have a prom." Natasha grew quieter. "I mean we did have a huge recital before our graduation ceremony. If we didn't get every move perfect they would beat us until we got it perfect. Maybe that was my prom." Natasha shrugged.

Later that night you gathered all the avengers, except for Natasha, and told all of them you were hosting an Avengers prom. Tony laughed and asked what the point was.

"Not all of us had a prom Tony. I was a lame loser who never got asked, Steve and Bucky lived through the depression, Wanda was orphaned, and Natasha was stuck in the red room. Some of us deserve a night of fun and dancing." You told him. All of the Avengers instantly agreed and you all started planning.

That Friday you walked into Natasha's bedroom holding two dresses, a makeup bag, and your favorite pair of high heels.

"Whats going on?" Natasha asked you as you held the long blood red dress in front of her.

"Do you trust me?" You asked even though you knew the answer.

"Yes." Natasha replied skeptically.

"Then put on the dress." You smiled. Natasha reluctantly grabbed the dress. You both slipped into your dresses and did each others makeup. You braided Natasha's hair the way she told you Yelena always braided it, and then she curled yours.

"Why are we going to the roof?" Natasha asked right after you pressed the roof top button.

"Just wait and see." You said. Natasha let out a small groan. As the elevator doors opened everyone stared at the two of you. Both of you dressed in floor length red dresses, Natasha's had a slip on the left leg, and yours had a slip on the right. Although yours was more oof a bright red the dresses still matched.

"What's this?" Natasha asked as she stepped out of the elevator looking all around. Everyone was there, Clint and Laura, Wanda and Vision, Steve and Bucky, Carol and Maria, Tony and Pepper, Thor, Bruce, Sam. The decorations sparkled around everyone.

"A real prom." You said. Natasha turned around with her jaw slightly opened.

"You really did this for me?" Natasha asked you.

"Of course." You smiled. "Hey Sam, hit the music!" You told him.

"Lets get this party started!" Sam shouted.

"I have to warn you, I can't dance." You said as you walked up to Natasha.

"I'll lead." Natasha grabbed your hand and led you out onto the dance floor. You danced horrible for song after song as Natasha tried to teach you. Both of you laughing over how horrible you are at dancing. Eventually a slow song turned on. Natasha gave you a questioning look and you nodded. As Natasha grabbed your waist you instantly became nervous. You loosely put your arms around her neck.

"Thank you." Natasha said softly.

"For what?" You asked.

"For this." Natasha replied. You smiled. "The red room took away my childhood. This is away for me to get a small piece of it back." Natasha told you. You both stared hopelessly into each others eyes, for a long time. Subconsciously you were getting closer and closer to each other. As you both began to lean in the slow song stopped. A fast song flooded your ears and you two were pulled back into reality.

------------

The first time you and Natasha danced you two almost kissed. You never talked about it. Not once. Even though you wanted to kiss Natasha so bad, the almost kiss was never mentioned again. But now the memory was pounding in your head as you danced here, with Natasha, to a slow song, staring into each others eyes, hopelessly.

"I'm not missing my chance again." Natasha stated, her voice was deep and full of emotion you just couldn't figure out which emotion.

"What?" You asked her softly. Natasha was silent. Her eyes flashing between your eyes and your lips. Slowly Natasha leaned in and attached your lips together. You hugged her neck tighter, pulling the two of you as close as possible. Natasha softly licked your lower lip asking for permission into your mouth. You open it almost immediately. Your tongues intertwined as pure bliss fills both of your bodies.

"See Clint, they just needed a push." Wanda said from across the room as she stood with Clint, Steve, and Sam.

"Yeah, yeah." Clint responded.

"So we're just going to ignore that they're mouth fucking in the middle of a Stark Industries business event?" Sam asked.

"Language Sam, Steve's here." Clint grinned. Wanda let out a tiny laugh.

"One time!" Steve protested.
