Chapter 1
Apathy, complete dullness of his soul. The lights all consolidated without any warning. He surrendered and let his eyes adjust to the lights that shone without any mercy. His body grew limp and his ears dulled at the sound of alarmed screaming. His eyes deadened as his heart began pounding. He dragged his body through the plethora of people.
He finally got to the front of the crowd. There lay the body of his mother with police and ambulance surrounding her. Inko Midoriya. “What happened?” He slightly yelled, steadily running to Inkos body. “Midoriya…” she shakily said. “Get him away from her.”
Police began dragging him away from Inko and the others began loading her into the ambulance car. “What happened to her, I’m her son. I need answers, please!” Midoriya pleaded with the police. “Look kid, we aren’t sure what happened to your mom-
The police man glanced at the large pool of blood that Inko bled out before resuming. “All we know is that she was.. Stabbed and left for dead.” “Left for.. Left for dead?” Midoryia grabbed his head, “What do you mean ‘left for dead?!’”
The policeman stayed silent for a second. “I’m sorry, I need to be honest with you but there’s a very low chance your mom might survive. If it does end up to be that grim then do you have anyone you can stay with?” Thick stillness punctured their throats.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk to me, my name is officer Sansa. I know this is a lot to pro-``''Officer Sansa.. I have an aunt that can take care of me if worse comes to worse.” Those words were hard to say. It felt like Midoriya's throat was being stabbed and his vocal cords were tangled.
