He does not remember much of who he was before hydra took him. The one thing he does remember was that it was a clear day.
Note
Hello and welcome to my fanfic! This is the first fanfic I have written in a long while, so forgive me if I am a bit rusty. I got the inspiration to write this story after watching Loki. My mind would not leave me be until I wrote down my ideas and from there I started to write. Please bear with me, as this may have slow updates, I will begin working soon and I am prone to writer's block. They aren't too bad though so I will do my best to write as much as possible. Oh! and fair warning there will be quite a bit of language and violence in this story. Phantom Claw goes through quite a bit and as I have stated in the tags Hydra are nothing but a-holes who mess with things they are not supposed to mess with. Go figure. Well, I've rambled on enough. Please enjoy! (I may change the title later)

Phantom Claw

It was a clear day.
This was something he could distinctly remember. Not his name, where he was from, or even what he was. Just that it was a clear day, when he was taken, stolen by hydra. For the last 10 years, Hydra was all he has ever known.
Phantom is what they call him, which is short for the Phantom claw. Since no one could find any traces of him at his mission sights.
Only a singular claw mark, and…… what was left behind.
It was a result of all the experiments they did on him. It gave him the ability to move and travel through the shadows. Along with his natural skills, he can move around almost unseen and can be as quiet as a panther. He was also given a type of serum that boosted his immunity to the point where poison has minimal effect on him, making him very hard to kill.
This was something Hydra was very proud of. They had tried for years to create the perfect super-soldier, through many trials and errors they had perfected their serum. Many poor innocent souls were taken, used, and killed to achieve their goals.
Though they had finally succeeded with Phantom claw. He was quick, silent, and very deadly. The perfect Soldier. Though they had lost the serum thanks to the avengers (and phantom for he had given them the copies so they could destroy them. Not that hydra knew) But it did not matter in the long run.
Though if Phantom was truly being honest with himself, he could easily get away without hydra knowing.
Easily take out the tracking chip they injected into his skin and hide under the radar to the point that no one would ever be able to find him again. Not that Hydra wouldn't try though. To them he is one of their greatest successes, to lose him would mean to lose a very important aspect of their organization.
But Phantom never tried anything, if he did it would mean that his little ones would be in danger, and he could never abandon them.
He was very protective of his little ones. Not only were they dear to his heart, but they were also the very reason he still kept fighting. He promised them that he would protect them, and if anyone were to harm them, well….. let's just say the last time an agent dared to lay a hand on them, it took the whole clean-up crew two days just to make the room less red.
Phantom was very protective of his children. He still remembers the day when his little ones were first brought in. They were so fragile and afraid. The youngest could barely speak or walk, while the oldest was so skinny, you could see her ribs.
It was clear that she had tried to take care of her sister while they were taken to this gods forsaken place. The moment he saw them he vowed to do whatever it took to make sure these two survive this time.
In the past Phantom had other children. Six to be exact, not counting the two recent ones. Like his two little ones, they were taken from their homes and brought to this base.
The first three were two boys and one girl, Allowin, Bucca, and Pandora. Those were the names he gave them.
Allowin was mature for his age, he was very well behaved and barely made a fuss at all. He loved to learn about all sorts of things, very clever he was.
Bucca on the other hand was very witty and charismatic. He had such an imagination, and he could describe to you anything he came up with in great detail.
Pandora was very sweet and shy, it took a while to get her out of her shell but once Phantom got through to her she was very bubbly and optimistic. She always hoped that one day someone would come to save them and they could be free. But it was not to be.
Hydra does not like dragging along dead weight, and for anyone who was considered a failed experiment, they were dealt with accordingly.
Phantom still remembers that day very clearly.
Agents kicking down the door.
Being shot with a poison dart which had enough power to hinder him unconscious.
The screams of his children.
Then darkness.
When he gained consciousness once more, his children were nowhere to be seen. He broke out of his room and went on a rampage, trying to look for them.
It took 5 agents just to pin him down, while another injected him with more poison. It was not very strong, but it was enough to weaken him substantially.
He was then dragged to a chamber where they would shock him into submission and force him to repress his memories.
He never knew what happened to his little ones.
Hydra didn't tell him anything, they either ignored his questions or acted as if they didn't have the slightest clue of what he was talking about. It was the same for his other little ones. Whether they proved they were useful or not, they would always take them away.
Then bring him back to that same room to repress his memories and make him forget.
What they didn't know however was that the "shock therapies" didn’t always work.
Though he would pretend they did, in order to not forget about them.
He promised them he would never forget.
And he will always remember his children.
