Chapter 10

(Jotunheim)

"I'm a bit confused you're Asgardian and yet you hate Odin so much that you're willing to side with the enemy. Knowing they could stab you in the back at any time" Býleistr frowned tilting his head to the side, Loki rolled his eyes grumbling under his breath

"I'm adopted if you haven't figured it out yet, unfortunately, All-Mother is a loyal lover she would never cheat. I'm not very well-liked on Asgard never was because I practice magic it's viewed as tricks or my personal favorite a woman's chore but it's okay because my adopted sister will help get rid of Odin and hopefully she'll take the throne" Loki grumbled Laufey looked unamused

"And you want us to believe that you have no interest in the throne? What's to say you take the throne of Asgard and try to decimate our planet with us in it" Laufey said the god huffed already just about ready to give up on this and steal the key and be on his merry way. Iðunn nudged him

"Give them that thing you stole from Odin as a token" Iðunn whispered Loki clenched his jaw not wanting to do anything like that just yet ... or ever.

"As a token of good faith, I present this to you," Loki said as he held out his hand, and out of nowhere appeared the Casket of Ancient Winters. Laufey and Farabuti stood immediately, Helbindi narrowed his eyes at him, and Býleistr looked surprised

"What kind of trick is this!" Helblindi spat the god of mischief tilted his head he noticed that his hands were indeed blue, which by process of elimination meant his whole being was blue

"Not a trick, unfortunately, when I found out I thought I was cursed but turns out I'm not" Loki sighed Farabuti and Laufey walked over to him. Farabuti took the casket from his hand gently and Laufey kneeled cupping his face and watching his reaction knowing if it was a trick his face would be burnt, Iðunn grinned looking down

"Loptr?" Laufey asked Loki blinked hearing his true name for the second time in his entire existence completely taken aback

"Not many remember that name, my true name. But you speak it as if you didn't leave me for dead" Loki frowned pulling away from the Jotunn, Helblindi looked down at his (maybe?) younger brother

"What are you talking about? We never did honestly we had left you in the temple guarded by the priest with the casket and a few soldiers, while we fought" Helblindi grumbled Loki raised his brow unconvinced, Helblindi rolled his eyes before going over to him and kneeled. Loki placed a hand on his head not hesitating

(Flashback)

Helblindi was fighting against 3 Asgardian soldiers, he managed to to use one of them as a shield so he wouldn't get stabbed and to have at least one less Asgardian roaming his planet. When the Asgardian horn was blown the Asgardian soldiers retreated, and Helblindi looked confused before the bells temple rang

"Loptr" Helbindi said grabbing one of the beasts riding out to the temple following close behind his parents, who had ridden out the second the bells rang. When the three of them made it to their most sacred temple, they saw the guards outside were dead

"Please no, by Nores please let our son be ok" Laufey opened the temple doors, and the family was met with a horrific scene. The room had frozen blood everywhere, the priests were supposed to be guarding the casket and their son/brother were all dead. Farabuti went to the pedal stall where they had left Loptr

"H-he's gone as is the casket," Farabuti said Laufey fell to the ground sobbing loudly, and Helblindi gripped his sword tightly

"The Asgardians have gone too far this time" Helblindi's jaw clenched, Farabuti walked over to his husband and pulled him into his arms

(End of flashback)

"You didn't abandon me, you thought I was dead" Loki whispered removing his hand gently Iðunn flickered her wrist and her shackles fell to the ground

"I told you it'd be a good idea to come through here," Iðunn said Loki sighed as his shackles fell to the ground a little dagger was revealed in his hand

"You were picking the lock?" Bylestir asked the raven-haired god shrugged

"I started picking at it when we got arrested, I don't like nor trust Iðunn that much. Besides worst case scenario would've been swiping the keys and sneaking my way to Helheim" Loki answered bluntly Laufey chuckled lowly turning Farabuti with a knowing smirk

"Sounds like a certain Jotunn I know" Laufey smirked Farabuti rolled his eyes, and Bylestir bit his bottom lip looking at his middle brother

"Stay the night, it'll be dark soon and I'm sure you're both tired. Helheim is very unsavory at night anyways" Bylestir said out of nowhere, Loki looked surprised turning to Iðunn

"We would love for you to stay the night," Farabuti said Loki turned to Helblindi who raised a brow

"I suppose but just for a night, have kids to get home to" Loki huffed, Helblindi looked at him curiously

"Tell us about them please?" Helblindi asked Loki smiled softly

"Well there's my eldest his name is Fenrir" Loki started
