Lawyer... pls?

Summary
What would happen if Eddie Brock had somehow stayed in the MCU... but less problematic than he probably would be if this actually happened. What if Eddie just tried to rebuild his life from literally nothing but Venom decides to eat someone and now he needs a lawyer?or Matt just wanted clients. Not new friends. Not problematic aliens. And totally not a slightly still heartbroken, pretty much non-existent, reporter. Haha, what? I wrote something here but it got deleted so I guess we will never know.  I don't know what the fuck is going on honestly.

Chapter 3

Matt wasn't sure what was going on. The night before, after he, Foggy and Karen had sent Eddie home he had gone out Daredevil-ing. Almost immediately he had heard a man yelling about 'give me the money and had run over there. The scene he had come to was unexpected. There was this thing, it was tall and sounded like slime? It had many teeth and an abnormally long tongue. The strangest thing was that it had Eddie's heartbeat, it was muffled by the supposed slime but it was there. Eddie had also obviously been in the store as his smell was there as well as around the slime thing.

The thing was holding one of the bad guys by the shoulders and opened its large, toothy mouth to probably eat the man. In a slight panic for the criminal's life, he threw one of his billy-clubs in the back of the thing's head.

"Huh?" the thing said closing its mouth but still holding the man tight. Its voice was deep but not in a way that a human's voice could be deep. Matt held his other billy-club tighter as his stomach sunk. Aliens? Aliens weren't his area of vigilante or 'hero' work. Aliens were a thing for the Avengers to handle, not him.

"Let him go," Matt instructed, mixing his lawyer voice and his Daredevil voice.

"I'm gonna eat him! He's a bad guy!" the thing roared. It was looking around for him.

"No, let him go," Matt insisted. The thing didn't seem to listen and just opened its mouth to eat the man again. Matt threw his other billy club and aimed for where the voice was coming from. It didn't have any clear anatomy and the whole thing confused his senses.

"Fuck!" The thing swore and let the man go. The thing reached for his head before quickly recollecting and standing up straight.

"Leave," he instructed again.

"Who are you?! Where are you?!" the things snarled. Matt left whatever dark corner he was in to show himself to the thing.

"Leave it to the police," the snarled back. The thing stopped for a second as if listening to something but there were no noteworthy sounds around.

"Fine!" the thing finally said throwing its hands(?) up into the air."
"But not because of the masked man!" the thing insisted before grabbing a sandwich and a bar of chocolate and stomping out. The thing did steal them but Matt wasn't going to bother stopping it.
He soon heard other people who needed his help and decided to go back to helping his city. He did keep an ear out for the thing though, just in case.

The day in the office, he had no idea how to approach this whole alien thing. It was the day before Eddie was actually coming but he had to tell Foggy and Karen, they had the right to know. After all, they were his friends and they had helped him a lot, he wasn't supposed to keep secrets from them anymore. Also, they were about to get a potential alien working for them tomorrow.

"Hey guys," he said as he walked into the small kitchen area they had set up. They were both waiting for coffee and were talking.

"Sup Matt," Foggy said doing a small hand movement that Matt guessed was a wave, he wasn't going to go too in-depth about a wave.

"So you know Eddie?" Matt started.

"Nah never heard of him," Karen joked smiling.

"Ha-ha, anyway, so I might have found something out, like last night," Matt explained.

"Oh no don't tell me he's like a super-enhanced-alien," Foggy groaned but it was set up as a joke.

"Yeah about that," Matt said and couldn't help the grin creeping onto his face.

"Wait... You're not serious are you?" Karen asked. Matt just pressed his lips together into an awkward smile.

""Oh no"" Karen and Foggy said in unison. The two looked like each other.

"Yeah, I think he's a human-eating alien," Matt explained.

"Wait why? What the hell happened?" Foggy asked before gasping loudly.

"Did he eat someone?!" He asked almost sounding offended. Both of their hearts were beating quite rapidly.

"But it wasn't quite him, it sounded like slime? But it had his heartbeat though it was slightly muffled," Matt explained.

"What are we supposed to do?" Karen asked.

"We can't just tell him not to show up, let's be careful. Karen, I know you have a gun and Foggy... keep a bat around, or get a gun, just learn how to aim first." Matt tried.

"Or we can literally just tell him to not show up? We pay his bill and he's out of our lives?" Foggy said.

"Do you really think it's going to be that easy? Is it ever that easy? Plus, we get our money's worth, we literally have a ninja on our side so we... might be fine. Also, he seemed nice enough," Karen tried to reassure.

"Yeah whatever he was when he was a, maybe alien? He said he wanted to eat the 'bad guy' so hopefully we aren't bad guys in his eyes," Matt explained.

"If I die I will haunt you both," Foggy hissed.

"Oh buddy if you don't outlive me there's something seriously wrong," Matt joked.

"Or I got killed by your stupidity," Foggy grumbled. Matt put a hand on his back.

"I'd die way before I would let that happen, now let's drink coffee," Matt said with a smile.

Matt managed to find Eddie's apartment. He knew it was creepy, he really shouldn't be doing this. But he was curious. And he needed more insight, he needed to know what he was and if he was going to hurt people, especially Karen and Foggy. He sat on his rooftop listening in.

"Eddie I'm hungry," the inhumanly deep voice whined. Wait. Why did it say, Eddie? Were they actually different people? Or things, whatever this thing was.

"Well, I can't afford anything Ven. We don't have any money," Eddie said. 'We'. That meant they were different people. But Matt also felt guilty. He had no money and now he had to work for free. He was practically non-existent and Matt knew he wasn't lying about his identity, so who was he?

"We can eat criminals!" the disembodied voice said triumphally. Matt sighed. What was this thing's problem?

"Let's not, you saw that guy yesterday, the one in the mask, he didn't seem too happy about it." Eddie sighed.

"Fuck that guy!" The thing yelled.

"You told me we could be lethal protectors! Also, we're going to die if we don't eat!"

"Just tonight," Eddie said before the whole slime thing formed around his body. Matt frowned and stood up. The thing left through the only window in their apartment and climbed up the side of the wall. Matt stood there tense, ready to fight. The thing came up to the roof and froze.

"You!" it yelled pointing what Matt assumed was a finger at him. It was really hard to tell with this slime, goo thing that was going on.

"Go back inside, I won't let you eat anyone," Matt snarled.

"Who are you even!?" The thing yelled.

"People call me Daredevil, this is my city, I won't let you eat anyone," Matt introduced.

"We need food!" Venom growled.

"Then eat food, not people!" Matt growled back. (It sounds like they're fucking dogs when I explain it like this, oh god)

"We need phenethylamine! It's only in human brains and chocolate and human brains!" The thing roared.

"Then eat chocolate! I don't care what you are, you can't eat others!" Matt yelled.

"We don't have money!" It complained.

"Doesn't give you the right to eat people!"

The thing growled before running at him. Matt dodged and stepped backwards to avoid three other slashes of what Matt guessed were something like claws.

"Calm down, you're being irrational." Matt tried. Matt then had to dodge another slash before being knocked off of his feet by something stretching out from the thing's body. The thing then grabbed him by the shoulders and took him off the ground. Matt's stomach sunk as the thing opened its large toothy mouth. He brought out his leg and punched the thing in the throat which made him stumble backwards and it let Matt slip out of his grip. Matt fell but rolled on the floor to use the momentum to stand up into a fighting position.

The thing shrunk and Eddie came back.

"Hey, I'm really sorry about that... I have a parasite," Eddie lied.

"Parasites don't do 'that'" Matt snarled, still in fighting position even though Eddie showed no indication of any plans to hurt him.

"Yeah, Uhm." Eddie groaned, probably trying to figure out something to say.

"Tell me the truth, and don't lie, I know when you lie," Matt said.

"It's a symbiote, an alien symbiote, his name is Venom," Eddie explained a thing then came out of his shoulder.

"If Eddie wasn't here you would be dead," the thing, apparently called Venom, threatened. Matt scoffed and stood up straight, still ready for a fight but he appeared calm.

"Yeah, yeah. Just don't eat people," Matt said and fished out a spare ten-dollar bill. he walked up to Eddie and placed it in his palm.

"Feed it, don't let it eat anyone, and if it does, trust that I will know," Matt growled before he ran away into the shadows.

Eddie just stood there pretty dumbfounded, maybe a bit intimidated but last but not least hungry.

"Let's go eat," Venom said.

"Sounds good." Eddie agreed.
