New day
-horizon
If there's something to say, it was "wow." The sensitive eyes captured the greenest land, with the sky kissing it, revealing its beauty. It was beautiful, very beautiful. The early morning of a day when the sun was already rising felt like a warm embrace. Descending from the branch, finally on the tree's ground, the view of the dark forest lay ahead. Since waking up, they made silence their greatest weapon. Though considered as Silence or quiet, it was pleasant. They had always worked alone and done it very well. Their strength was unknown, whether they were strong or weak. Even with stories circulating around, lies about themselves, being the strongest or the weakest, or even a ghost, nothing bothered them.
They lived isolated from others, though they were close. They walked the paths directly to the empire. Baskets of fruits and food were taken before everyone woke up, placed at the kingdom's door, and respected throughout the day. Even so, they didn't complain. After leaving the basket, they dashed into the forest, seeing some people waking up and others not even talking. Though they weren't used to engaging in conversation with anyone, yesterday they left a bad impression on the half-faced person whose name they remembered, Gen Asagari or something like that, as they recalled. Once at the edge of the mountain, steps away from disappearing into the dense forest, they heard something.
"HEY, Silence!"
Upon turning, the person from their memories was there, waving at them. They responded with a slight nod and quickly vanished into the forest. Lately, the days had been strange. Walking a bit in the forest, they finally reached a point and jumped onto the ground to a tree, landing perfectly. They looked back at the empire behind them. The stronger ones were carrying large baskets of meat, while others carried fruits and vegetables, then left. Some applauded the food, as if they were happy to have food at dawn without moving. Obviously, they didn't mind. Even though the people were always the same from the past, they just had to bring enough food to not disturb their morning in the forest. Many times, they didn't leave the food baskets there and only brought them in the evening, that is, if they weren't on a mission or something.
The branch they were on made them visible to the empire, visible to them. Lost in their thoughts, they heard nothing but their own voice - "oh, Silence, oh person." Looking down, one of the burly individuals, as they called them, seemed to be looking at them. They soon added, "Tsukasa wants to talk to you!" as they moved away. Once they were far enough, they jumped from the branch to the ground and headed towards the kingdom.
They were already steps away from where Tsukasa, the leader of the empire, was. As they entered, they saw Tsukasa on their throne, and next to them was Gen Asagari. They approached, and Tsukasa, the larger of the two, spoke, "Silence, even though you've been doing a good job, I want Gen to assist you with tasks. It'll be good for you to have extra help." They nodded in agreement, seeing Gen approach with their hands hidden.
"It'll be nice to work with you!"
They simply looked, even though they couldn't see their eye color due to the blindfold they wore for eye sensitivity. They could clearly sense the falseness of the individual before them. "Great, Gen, if you don't mind, I want to talk to Silence alone." Of course, Gen agreed and left. Once they were out of sight, they looked at Tsukasa, who was no longer sitting, and paid attention to what they were about to say. "(Name), understand that Gen asked me for this, okay? They will help you with tasks, except for that one." They nodded before parting their lips.
"It's going to be... difficult working with someone. I've always worked alone."
They simply nodded, placing their hand on their head, and after the brief meeting, they left. They saw Gen waiting outside; they just smiled with closed eyes and led the way back into the forest. Obviously, having a partner to work with would be difficult, but it was an order and a mission.
