Summary
Peter Parker-Stark was nervous. More nervous than he ever thought he would be. Everyone said they didn't care what his classification was but that couldn't be true? He hoped that this was like the sorting hat out of Harry Potter and you could ask them to give you your preferred one. With his Parker luck though? There's no chance of that happening.

Chapter 2

Peter stayed cuddled into MJ while Mr Harrington took role call, content to lean against her. There weren’t a lot of people MJ let that close to her, so Peter found himself feeling lucky to be one of the few.

“Hey Peter, will we take your coat and hat off?” MJ asked, her arm wrapped around his shoulders.

Peter nodded; he knew from experience that if she hadn’t reminded him, he wouldn’t have remembered until it was too late.

MJ took his hat off first, handing it to Ned, who made a big deal of it being an Iron Man hat, as he did every day.

“Dude, this is the coolest hat I’ve ever seen. Are you sure I can’t have it?” Peter giggled and shook his head.

“That’s my hat, Ned.” He reminded. Ned was funny like that, always making jokes. Peter liked to remind him, though, just in case.

“You’re right, maybe I’ll get one as well, and we can match!”

Peter nodded eagerly as MJ took his coat off, putting his hat in his bag and coat on the back of his chair. “Thanks, MJ.”

MJ shrugged as if it were no big deal, “What will we do today? I think Mr Harrington said because it’s classification day, we can just hang out until it’s time to get classified.”

“I brought guess who with me. Want to play that?” Ned asked, taking the game from his bag.

“I want to be on MJ’s team!” Peter said quickly. He wasn’t a fan of playing without a teammate.

Thankfully Ned nodded easily enough, “It will make winning all the more sweeter.”

They were just setting up when Mr Harrington cleared his throat, getting everyone's attention.

“Hello, class. I can see all of you have already caught on to how today will be going, but I just want to go through it for everyone, so we’re clear. I’m going to use the projector to play a movie that you are all free to watch, or you can play a game or chat amongst yourselves. There will be sweets going around, but I need everyone not to eat too many” Mr Harrington gave Peter a look that had him blushing and turning his head bashfully into MJ’s neck.

“At ten, I will need Peter, Flash, Betty, and Abe for a potty and snack break. Then, we will resume at half 11, when the four I mentioned will go down for a quick rest. Once they are awake and have had some lunch, we will begin with classifications. Each of you will be brought out into another room where the test will be issued, and the results will be given. This takes up to half an hour to forty minutes, and your family will be waiting for you when you leave the classification room. Any questions?”

Several hands went up, and Mr Harrington nodded as if expecting it. The first question came from Ned. “Why does it take so long?”

“Because they also do a check-up along with the test just to be sure. Which takes time.”

That brought down some people hand’s, but Peter’s came up, and Mr Harrington called on him, his eyes softening as he looked at him. “Yes, Peter?”

“Can we have someone in there with us for it?” Peter hated getting checkups. The only ones he let near him usually were Dr Cho and Uncle Bruce. He didn’t want the classification doctor near him without one of his safe people close.

“Don’t worry, Peter; there are a few students that will have parents or guardians in there with them. We’ve taken care of it so that you won’t be alone.”

Peter let out a sigh of relief, the tension easing out of him. That was until Flash spoke up. “What’s wrong, Parker? Too afraid to go in by yourself?” He sneered at the boy. Peter just stuck his tongue out at him while Mr Harrington cut across anything else he might say.

“Flash, that’s enough. You are one of the people with a parent going in with them, so it would be wise to keep your comments to yourself.” He waited until Flash sat beside Cindy, blushing and looking down while she gently patted him on the back before continuing. “Any more questions?”

Abe’s hand went up, “What happens when we get our classification? In school, I mean?”

“Well, for the most part, you will still share a lot of classes, but there will be accommodations made for your classification, such as Omega’s not being near Alpha’s during certain times, Littles having more breaks and rests, Caretakers having time to decompress in a little heavy class.”

Mr Harrington looked around once he answered the final question to see no more hands in the air. “Great, let's start with our fun day! I’ll be passing around sweets in a few minutes.”
With that, everyone turned back to what they were doing, Peter cuddling back into MJ while Ned finished setting up their game.

“What do you guys think you’ll be?” He asked, looking between the two.

Ned shrugged, “I’d say I’d be either an Omega or Caretaker. At least that’s what my parents are.”

“I’ll be a caretaker. What about you, Peter?” MJ asked, even though it was pretty obvious what he’ll be.

“I don’t know. I don’t like thinking about it.” He mumbled, taking MJ’s hand and playing with her fingers to distract himself.

“That’s okay. You'll find out soon enough.” She said in her deadpan way that made him feel better. “Now, let’s get the game started.” She pulled Peter onto her lap so they could play together against Ned, who was determined to win.

Halfway through the game, Mr Harrington came around with a bag of sweets with Peter’s name on it. The writing looked suspiciously like his mom’s, but he happily accepted it, nearly gasping when he spotted Reece’s Cups and white buttons. Both of those were his absolute favourite. He also had a packet of snacks that came close to his chocolate.

“Now, don’t eat them all in one go, Peter, or you’ll have a pain in your tummy.” Mr Harrington warned, but Peter was too happy to care about the warning, showing both MJ and Ned what he had.

“Oh wow, you’re so lucky, Peter!” Ned exclaimed excitedly. It was then that Peter noticed they didn’t have any sweets.

“Do you guys not get any?” He asked, pouting up at Mr Harrington, who put his hands up in defence.

“They’ll have their sweets a bit later. It’s easier to clean up if we take it in groups.”

What he didn’t tell Peter was that while he and the other suspected Littles were having a nap, they would bring out the proper sweets. They didn’t want little hands wandering, so it was best just to give them their pre-packed sweets before they went for their nap.

Peter was still put out that his friends didn’t get any sweets, though and offered some of his own to them, but Ned and MJ shook their heads when he offered. “They’re for you, Peter; we’ll get some when it’s our turn, okay?” MJ said quietly, running a soothing hand down his back.

Peter, MJ, and Ned played and chatted until Mr Harington called him up to go to the potty. Peter jumped off MJ’s lap, holding his bag of sweets out to her, “Will you mind these?” He asked; he didn’t want to let them fall on the way to the school nurse.

“I’ve got them, Peter; you go ahead.”

Peter skipped up to Mr Harrington, taking his outstretched hand and let him be led to Ms Avenmore’s office. Peter liked her. She was always nice and helped out in the little room as well. She knew Peter’s dad, so he didn’t have to hide who he was from her.

Walking into the room, Ms Avenmore turned around with a happy smile at seeing Peter. Peter smiles bashfully back. “Hi Peter! You here for a change?”

Peter let go of Mr Harrington’s hand and nodded, walking further into the room. “I’m wet.” He said simply. He wasn’t a fan of not knowing when he needed to go, but all of his family assured him that it was completely normal and nothing to feel bad over. A lot of them were Avengers, so that they couldn’t be wrong.

“Well, you’ve come to the right place for that! Let’s get you sorted and back to the fun.”

Peter nodded, lifting his arms to be lifted while yawning. All the fun so far was making him a bit sleepy.

He lay there, pliant, while Ms Avenmore stripped him of his jeans and undid the snaps on his vest, getting to his diaper.

Lying down had Peter’s eyes slipping closed while he was changed, earning a chuckle from Ms Avenmore. “We have to get a snack into you before a nap, Peter, so don’t fall asleep on me.”
Peter whined and kept his eyes closed, not happy with her words. He could eat when he woke up. He heard Ms Avenmore laugh again, but she didn’t say anything, quickly changing him and re-dressing him before calling Mr Harrington back in.

“You’ll have to give him a bottle instead. He won’t be awake enough to eat, I’d say.”

Mr Harrington sighed; Peter had a tendency to fall asleep before snack time. His family were aware of it, which is why he had extra milk in his day bags.

Gently lifting a dozing Peter, Mr Harrington made his way back to homeroom, shushing the teens in the room. They all quieted down until he walked into the joining room with six cribs, all donated by Tony Stark when Peter started attending. Their Little programme also got a boost, so they now they were one of the top schools in the country to send Littles to. It made it a very competitive school.

Mr Harrington gently placed the boy in a crib with his name on it, taking a bottle out of the bag and placing it in Peter’s mouth, waiting until the little boy roused himself enough to begin suckling properly.

Peter’s hands came up to hold the bottle, and his eyes opened heavily while he drank until his belly was full, flinging the bottle away once he was done and falling back into a heavy sleep. He’d need it for the classification test!
