Third person's POV:
July, 2021
After what happened in 2018 with Thanos, which is Thanos getting killed by Vision and his children running away. The Avengers got back together, only taking orders from themselves or Fury just like before 2016.
Pleading that half the universe wouldn't be here if It wasn't for them. Ross reluctantly frees them, despite still holding a grudge against Natasha. They learn to live all together again, sitting for an entire night talking about the past two years.
Unless to say they were surprised to learn that Natasha and Wanda start dating when they were on the run. Bucky was now free from all control Hydra had on him, Steve still miss Peggy but nothing new. Tony was getting married and Pepper was pregnant.
Hulk was now bestie with Thor sharing space trauma with him, they didn't understand everything just that Loki died, again. Vision was well Vision. Sam and Clint went back to their family but told them they would be there if they needed them.
This brings us to now three years later where Natasha and Wanda are on a mission, nothing too hard just an undercover mission for three weeks. They have to get as much information on their boss as they can. Both redheads were to play Natalie and Wendy Miller, two sisters that run away from the city to a small town in Texas.
Their boss wasn't someone friendly or polite. He runs a little shop in the town they 'live' in having only two employees, who are Natasha and Wanda the previous one having magically run away at the same time. In reality, they were having some well-deserved vacation in Thailand thanks to Stark.
"Hello, gorgeous." Natasha's sultry voice appears in Wanda's ear as well as arms snaking around her waist while she was putting apples on the fruit shelf in front of her. "Nat stop it." Wanda squirms around laughing taking her girlfriend's hands off her.
"We're at work." She added when she turns around to look at Natasha pouting at her. "Since when did it ever stop us?" The older redhead asked with a sided smile.
"Since we're working at a small shop and that our boss is looking at us like he's going to get off tonight imagining sisters kissing." Wanda mumbled looking over Nat's shoulder to their boss. Natasha slightly turns her head around to see him looking at their interaction with lustful eyes and an open mouth.
"Ew okay big cockblock, fortunately for us this end tonight." Natasha grimaced taking a step back from Wanda. She sighed and went to help Wanda with the fruits. "I don't know why Fury sent us here, this man doesn't even know who we are how can he be an alien's guns dealer." Natasha complained.
This was a loss of time for her, she could be doing a lot of things more important at the Avengers compound. Wanda nod in agreement and they fell silent finishing their job.
"You know I kind of liked this mission." Wanda thought aloud when they were back to the compound. They were sitting in their room doing the mission's report to give it to Maria. "What being sisters?" Natasha asked shocked.
"No dummy not being your sister but having a quiet life, you know live in a small town, having a job where you don't risk taking a bullet every moment." Wanda answered honestly putting her pen down on the bed and turning her head to face Natasha.
"I know we already talked about it, it was just never the right time wands. I'm sorry I should have taken time off to look at some town that would be perfect for us." Natasha apologized when she see the frustration on Wanda's face. It's been months since they first talk about it, always saying they would look at houses later but never doing it. "I did, I mean we just had three weeks not doing anything. I found one that seems good."
"Oh yeah, what's its name?" Nat asked interested putting her report on the side. She didn't take time before but now she would. "Westview, it's in New Jersey not too far from here so we can come quickly if another Titan decided to attack earth."
"Do you have more information or pictures?" Nat wondered, moving next to Wanda and taking her hand. Playing with her fingers. The younger nods her head vigorously, she takes her laptop and went on the site web of the town. "See it's cute, and they're selling some land there. We can easily build a two-story house, with at least three bedrooms. But we don't have to if you don't want, we can look for other towns with other houses." Wanda rambles nervously.
"It's perfect babe, what would you say about visiting the town tomorrow? We make a decision there." Nat asked gently stroking Wanda's cheek, the other woman nod and kiss her girlfriend.
The kiss became heated and Natasha straddle Wanda's lap, she has her hands on both cheeks now while the younger slid her hands under Natasha's shirt. Wanda backs away slowly, pushing Nat's chest when the latter tries to follow her lips. "I'm sorry I just start to thought about this guy getting off to sisters kissing and now I can't think about anything else." She chuckled scratching her neck.
"Okay, that's enough." Nat sigh in frustration getting off the bed and walking rapidly to the door. "Where are you going?" Wanda chuckled at her girlfriend's behavior.
"Telling Fury not to ever make us play sisters." She huffed slamming the door behind her, she could hear Wanda laughing harder at her answer and it made her smile. She barged into Fury's office where he was sitting behind his desk with Maria standing next to him with some files in her hands.
"Agent Romanoff please come in." He greets her sarcastically, she points her finger to him. "Don't ever send us on a mission where we have to play sisters, you know what in fact don't send us on mission at all. I retiring..." She said thinking about her plan with Wanda, it was time to finally take a step back from this life.
She didn't leave them time to reply that she was already on her way out of the office. Maria and Fury share a victorious smile, look like their plan works.
