Chapter 2
Izuku was surprised! Death? Wasn't that the thing that took you away when you got old? Hmm. Maybe he shouldn't go. But! He seemed nice. He hadn't even tried to hurt Izuku once! Also, didn't jobs give you money? Wouldn't Mommy be happier if he got money? He hoped so. "I will go with you mister death sir-san!" Well, it couldn't hurt to try.
He took the man's hand, and he stood. "Come now darling." The man said. He made a weird circle movement with his hand and suddenly there was a door. It was a big black door, imposing and tall, shrouded in darkness. The man opened it, and what Izuku saw on the other side was amazing and terrifying at the same time. It was dark and scary, but at the same time it pulsed with a sort of vibrant but dark energy. He could see weird people looking shadows floating all around the land, which was rich and green, but withered and decayed at the same time.
Death was delighted. This boy was absolutely adorable, and he just had to have him. So what if he had parents, they obviously weren't taking care of him judging by his obviously frail and to thin body. AHHH! He was so cute! He couldn't wait to brag to Life about his new baby. And all the other gods of course. But mostly life. After all, she didn't have such a sweet and lovable child. She didn't have any children at all, and she was supposed to be the nurturing one! Before the small one could change his mind, he opened a portal into his realm.
He was quite curious about the reaction of the child. His realm was terrifying to mortals, but the boy only seemed interested, if not a wee bit fearful. Overall, he just looked exited and a little bit wary. It was simply miraculous! He quickly grasped the little ones hand, and slowly led his new child through the portal and into his realm.
As soon as he crossed the threshold, the kiddo lost his mortality. He was now a ward of death, and he couldn't die until he so chose to. Because Death had claimed him as his child, he also inherited all of the powers that death held, and he would fully come into them when the current death chose to pass them on or die. This had not happened since the beginning of time, and this death was the original one. As the little greenie stepped into his new home, his hair blew back with the force of the power that suddenly rolled over him, invigorating and weighing him down at the same time. Death watched on proudly as his new son practically lit up and looked at his hands in wonder as he felt the new power now thrumming through his veins.
Izuku was in awe. He was pretty sure he had a quirk now! He had felt a wave of something flow through his veins, making him hyper and cheery. This man really was the best! Izuku had met him, and now he had a quirk! He could now be friends with Kacchan again and he wouldn't be called Deku anymore! He was overjoyed!
Still, his mother had made sure he knew his manners. He turned to the tall strong man beside him and tugged lightly on his pantleg. Mommy didn't like it when he did that, but the man was so tall there was no way that he'd ever be able to hear Izuku even if he shouted at the top of his lungs. (This was not the case, but he was a kid, so lets give him some slack.)
The man immediately turned and crouched down in front of Izuku, trying his best to meet his eyes, but he was too tall. "Yes sweetheart?" "Thank you for giving me a quirk Mister Death sir-san!" "Of course my sweet. Could you please remind me of your name honey?" The man wanted to know his name? He liked be called sweetheart and honey. Would that stop if he said his name? "Izuku." He mumbled reluctantly. He hoped the man would still call him his sweet. "Thank you darling! That is a wonderful name!" He still called Izuku his darling! That made him very happy.
Death was clutching his chest. This kid was going to give him a heart attack with his adorableness and wide innocent eyes. He was such a smol bean! He must be protected at all costs!
