It was after the men in their lives said something that they realised it.
“You know what we need? A man cave!” Clint had exclaimed.
Bucky, Steve and Thor were all pretty confused by the phrase. And Bruce didn’t really care, he had his lab after all.
“What would you even need the man cave for? You all have private rooms and the living room is the size of an apartment,” Nat commented.
“Yeah. If anyone needs a ‘man cave’ it’s me and Nat. We have to deal with the excessive amount of testosterone, you out number us 5:2,” Toni pointed out.
The rest of the afternoon was spent explaining the concept of a man cave and fighting doom bots.
Upon returning to the tower Nat and Toni started relaxing in the workshop. Toni immediately got to work on repairs for the armor and the avengers weapons.
“Y’know that was a good idea earlier. About us getting our own man cave type of thing,” Nat said out of the blue.
“I think they’re called she sheds,” Toni said, not looking up. “But I don’t need one I got this place to escape.”
“Yeah but this is where you get work done not relaxing. Plus with the amount of times Bucky comes down here it’s not really meant for just us,” Nat explained.
“That’s a good point. I mean it was a joke but getting away from the sausage fest that we’re surrounded by wouldn’t be to bad. And there is plenty of rooms,” Toni thought aloud.
“Exactly! I know we have the guys a little shit for it but they could have their own place if you wanted to give it to them,” Nat said.
So they went to work. They cleaned up a room and added their own touches. And to keep things fair the guys were given a room. Except it might’ve been a little bit smaller than theirs.
Because they deserve it. And because well it is Toni’s building and she wanted the bigger room for her and Nat (sometimes Pepper if she was around) to really relax.
