Summary
I just wanted to contribute something to the fandom, even though I have no idea what I did, I just wanted Yelena to charge Kate for the drink outing. This is not a Katelena.

After spending Christmas with the Barton family and being invited to spend New Year's Eve with them as well, it was about a month before Kate returned to New York and had to get her life back in order, starting with her apartment.

She had to repair the damage left by the fire, buy some things for her Pizza Dog and give him real food, not just Pizza, maybe buy him a bed of his own too, keep her pantry stocked with some food and maybe get some decent cutlery, because since Yelena's unexpected visit to her apartment, she kept thinking about what she said about cutlery.

He stopped the cleaning he was doing when he remembered Yelena and the conversation he had with Clint about Yelena forgiving him, sighed and continued with what he was doing.

That month in which he was putting everything in order had passed, now he was just looking for a simple job to keep his mind busy, as well as looking for criminals that he could take care of, but that were at his level "No one will be able to save you if you mess with the wrong people, you had some luck last time" Clint had told him.

Still the unexpected things are always a complete surprise, like the fact that Yelena was standing in front of the window of Kate's apartment through which she had entered and Kate didn't know what to say when she saw her there after having just come from walking Lucky.

"W.why are you here?" she ventured to ask after coming out of her astonishment.

"Have you already forgotten what you promised?" asked Yelena with well feigned disappointment as she advanced into the small room.

"What I promised," she said as she let go of Lucky's leash.

"You said we'd have a drink, but you weren't here," he lifted his shoulders, downplaying the fact that he had come for Kate earlier.

"But that was..." he was silent for a moment, "it was supposed to happen before but you just wanted to..." he was unable to complete the sentence.

"To kill Clint Barton? Yes, but that didn't happen," he sat down in Kate's dining room without taking his eyes off her.

"Had you come here before?" he reacted late to what Yelena had said about coming to look for her.

"Yes, but you weren't here, so I waited, I had time to visit many parts of New York," she said smiling a little amused by the situation.

"I arrived a month ago," she said puzzled that she hadn't met her, until now.

"I know, remember I know all about you Kate Bichop," she rolled her eyes, "are you going to buy me a drink or not?," she said as if she had lost her patience.

Kate sighed in defeat, unable to believe that she really had to go out again after she had gotten used to resting after walking with Lucky.

"All right, let's go, I know a decent bar nearby.

When they were in the bar and having their drinks, Kate had brought up again why he hadn't been looking for her if he knew she had been back for a month.

"Were you following me?" she asked blankly when Yelena told her what she had been doing when she first arrived back in New York.

"Following sounds ugly, even for you, I was watching you, you tend to get hurt very quickly Kate Bishop," he smiled shaking his head.

"Repairing my apartment or...?" he left the question up in the air.

"Trying to be a hero, but at least you came out unscathed, I must say you're getting better...

"Do you think so?!" asked Kate excitedly.

"A little, very little," with her fingers she made as if she was holding a tiny seed while making a mocking smile.

Kate dampened her excitement by looking away as she drank.

The young Russian girl was actually enjoying teasing Kate and watching her reactions.

"You're only here for what I promised?," asked the young black-haired girl suddenly.

"Yes, I'll be leaving soon," she played it down, lifting her shoulders, "Do you want me to stay?," she teased her again, resting her chin on one of her hands as she looked at her and leaned a little closer.

"W.what?!, no, no, ppff," he took another sip of his drink.

Yelena smiled in amusement at his reaction

"You're funny Kate Bishop," she smiled and stood up, "I had fun, but I have to go," she took her glass and drank the rest of her drink in one gulp, "Good luck," she said leaving half of the payment for the drinks they had been having.

Before Kate could say anything Yelena left quickly, disappearing from his sight by the time Kate paid and left the bar to say goodbye to her, the blonde was nowhere to be seen.
