The Monster's Escape
What…… where am I?...
Izuku finally managed to open his eyes as he felt a cold floor and stood up, Izuku looked around to see that he was in some sort of containment as he put his hand on the glass wall surrounding him, as Izuku saw him now being changed into a white long-sleeved shirt and long pants, he looked behind him to see that he was surrounded in darkness with the only light was the LED light above him.
I can’t see, wait…… if I…
Izuku closed his eyes as he tried to restimulate the feeling to activate whatever he had done before, as Izuku was blindly trying to find his way while his eyes were closed, Izuku took deep breaths and as he walked and bumped into a side of the glass which made Izuku opened his eyes, Izuku was in awe as he looked at the now fog covered vision, he looked that black fog was everywhere on the places where he couldn’t see while the room him in, was crystal clear.
Okay, then…
Izuku stomped slightly and he saw the similar pulsing circle that went out to the black fog and gone, Izuku raised an eyebrow but then the circle came back as the fog instantly cleared up and formed outlines of every single furniture, item, and obstacle, Izuku took deep breaths as he looked over newly formed terrain.
Wow, this is, amazing.
Izuku cherished the new sight he had and as he kept looking at the ever-updating terrain by him stepping, a realization hit him, this is the same lab he had once worked in, and it was the property of the Q.T.F, footsteps suddenly rang through the room and as Izuku got his normal vision back, he saw Leo approach him and stopped right in front of Izuku, the two separated by the tempered glass between them.
“Leo, why?...”
“…… *Chuckles.”
Leo’s chuckles turned into a full-blown laughter as he clapped his hands and a machine popped down from the celling in the containment space that Izuku was in, Leo walked away as the space extended each step Leo took, Izuku in anger rushed and punched the glass separating the two, which made Leo stop and look back as Izuku put his two fists on the glass threateningly.
“Why?, did you take me here!?”
“Ah Midoriya, you are so smart, yet so stupid, can’t even understand what’s happening.”
“Is it because of my knowledge!? I thought that we both were friends!”
Izuku yelled desperately while Leo just replied with a sick smile as Izuku looked back to see that there were three combat robots wielding actual firearms, Izuku tried to break free by punching the glass but did nothing as Leo bent down to Izuku’s eye level.
“Oh we were definitely friends Izuku, it’s just that, I think it’s time I take matters into my own hands.”
“What are you talking about!?”
“It’s about time someone tore this rotten core to the ground, and it all starts with you.”
The three robots distanced themselves from each other as Izuku was still both mad and confused at what Leo was spouting about, Izuku looked back at the three robots as they had aim lasers pointed at Izuku while Leo spoke again, “This world is already corrupted, torn with dictatorship, and yet, naïve people like you still believe it can change, it disgusts me.”
“Because it can!”
“*Tsk, stubborn as always, whatever, don’t worry Midoriya, now your discoveries will definitely save people, those who DESERVE to be saved!”
Leo shouted and walked away, with Izuku processing what he had heard by a few seconds before it clicked in and Izuku punching the glass and shouted, “LEO! DON’T YOU DARE!”, but it was no use as Leo was already out of the room, the three bot’s visual detectors turned red as Izuku fell to his knees as he felt pain, betrayal, grief, but then was followed by a sudden wave of realization, of Yuno, Fuyumi, Nagant, his mother, and his sister.
“Target acquired, initiating disarming protocol.”
Izuku stood back up with his eyes closed, and as the three robots prepared to fire, Izuku’s eyes revealed shrunken pupils and stood on fours, as Izuku felt his sanity and ability to comprehend fade, the robot’s shots was slowed in Izuku’s perspective and Izuku hissed as he dodged a shot and charged at the closest bot, Izuku slashed the bot and pinned it to the ground as he laid his eyes on the next target, Izuku hissed as he felt a scraping pain on his left stomach side, the next bot faltered as Izuku kicked it’s chest, sending it flying to the glass wall.
Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Spare, Kill! Kill! Kill!
Izuku chanted as he ran behind the last bot and snapped it’s neck wires as he slammed it down to the ground, the first bot tried to shot again but was halted as Izuku swiftly snapped it’s arm off and used it to smash the bot’s head, Izuku panted as he let go and felt his sanity going back to him, a sigh of relief Izuku let out as he stood up back on his two legs, Izuku looked at the robot he had thrown at the glass wall and it had cracked the glass.
I’m getting out of here, one fucking way or another.
The robot’s hand was torn off by Izuku who used it to crack the glass even further, and after a lot of swings, Izuku grabbed the robot’s body and throwed it to the glass wall, shattering it into big pieces as Izuku walked out of his confinement, Izuku activated his echolocation again as he felt no one nearby, as Izuku walked to a nearby table, he saw a piece of paper and grabbed it as he inspected the contents, which made Izuku’s blood boil in anger and fear.
He's, funding the Quirk Implanting Program!? That’s still in development! He’s going to kill people with half-done research and methods! Wait, the documents are stored by me, but Leo knows where it is!
Izuku with a newfound determination rushed out of the room and crashed through the door as he caught the attention of two guards, who pointed their weapons at Izuku who made a run for it with the guards right on his tail.
“Halt! Escapee---!”
Izuku stopped mid run and turned himself to punch one of them to the ground, and the other fired a blast of plasma which almost obliterated Izuku’s head, Izuku charged and pinned the second guard as he let his thirst take over, a split black out was followed by Izuku opening his eyes to see that the guard he pained fainted from blood loss as her neck bled slightly, and the other guard had been, beaten to the ground, Izuku held back the guilt as he ran to a nearby closet, and grabbed a black hoodie and black pants as Izuku ran down the hallway to the elevator, Izuku pressed the button and he went in just in time to see two other guards trying to catch him.
“Stop! Get him!”
Izuku furiously pressed the closing doors button and it did close just in time Izuku ducked a few rounds shot at him, as Izuku looked that he was alone in the elevator accompanied by the soft music, Izuku prepared a running stance as the ding sound rang and the doors opened, Izuku ran and wasted no time as he made it out the front door, ignoring all of the stares and voices as he looked that Leo’s car was parked down, Izuku went in as he smiled triumphantly by the key left on the starting engine.
Good thing Leo always forgets to pull these out.
Izuku started the engine as he saw that the guards were approaching from the front door but just right as the guards were about to start shooting, Izuku stepped on the gas as he drifted away to the exit road, Izuku kept stepping on the gas as he ignored the engine revs and the shouting guards. Izuku kept his eyes straight on the road as he gritted his teeth when he saw that the road was getting pulled down, Izuku looked behind to see three motorbikes after him and got an idea as Izuku hit the brakes and pulled the stick to reverse, the bikers were surprised as Izuku jumped out of the door while the car slammed the three bikers.
“Surrender now!”
Izuku kept running as he ignored the shouting guards who were trying to get back up, Izuku sprinted as he approached the end of the road that was slowly going down, Izuku looked back at the coming guards and just sighed as he tried to echolocate anything nearby him but the felt the road under him going down, as the guards were approaching, Izuku looked back and jumped out to the water, Izuku gasped for air as he tried to swim away, as the guards were screaming profanities, Izuku chuckled as he kept swimming out to the near bridge, and as he was panting heavily, Izuku looked back and saw that the guards were trying to go back and raise the road back but Izuku suddenly felt light as he attempted to use his echolocation again.
Wait, bats can fly, maybe I can…
Izuku tried to restimulate the feeling again but then he saw a helicopter right above him with a rope coming down, and a figure peeked out and Izuku was surprised to see the person manning the helicopter, “Get up!”
“Nagant!? What are yooouuuu!?”
Izuku got pulled up by the rope and dangled as he tried to get up, but was stopped by the guards who started to fire their weapons and quirks, Izuku barely dodged a fireball and got grabbed by his leg by Lady Nagant up to the helicopter, as the guards kept shooting at the helicopter as it flew away.
“*Pants, Nagant, why did you---”
“Sush, I’m helping you out.”
“But why?”
Izuku asked as he tried to stand up by his feet in the helicopter passenger space, he saw that there was a pilot who seemed to be, nervous? While Nagant looked out of the window at the city below them, she sighed and approached Izuku as she slapped him.
“What were you fucking thinking Midoriya!?”
“Uh, first of all, language, second, I didn’t?”
“Listen, I know what happened between you and Leo.”
“How did you know that fast?”
Izuku warily questioned her as he took a step back, but Nagant just looked back at the city underneath them as the helicopter made it’s way through the skies, Nagant pulled up a phone and gave it to Izuku who looked at it confused.
“Leo had been bragging about it for the past three days, he must’ve thought I would join him with no resistance, *chuckles, little does he know that he now has a double agent to worry about.”
Nagant spoke proudly as she pointed at herself, Izuku turned the phone on as he saw that it seemed to be recently bought, a green light went on as the helicopter landed on top of a building, Izuku was about to leave from the open doors but was grabbed by the collar of his hoodie by Nagant while the pilot walked away and through the door leading to the staircase to descend downwards, Izuku looked back at Nagant confusingly as she gave Izuku a USB drive.
“That drive has Leo’s plan in it, he is trying to ‘give the oppressed a chance’ or something, what I had gathered is that he’s recruiting a bunch of people, those he deemed ‘broken gems by society’.”
“Then, why didn’t you join him?”
Nagant seemed to frown as she sighed and pushed Izuku out of the helicopter and onto the helipad, Izuku looked back and as Nagant seemed to be recalibrating the helicopter’s controls, she peeked from the door and spoke again.
“I didn’t join him because he’s too much of a dreamer than a doer, plus, he hasn’t done anything to gain my trust, unlike you.”
“So, does that makes us even?”
“*Chuckles, yeah sure, also… be careful, and good luck.”
“What makes you think you know what I’m going to do?”
Izuku replied while smiling as Nagant replied his question with a laugh while she closed the door and piloted the helicopter up, and as it was already hovering above the helicopter, she opened the drivers window and faced Izuku again.
“It’s because you’re a stubborn man who always tries to find a peaceful way to get what he wants.”
“Stubborn? I’d prefer determined.”
“Just do your thing, I know you’ll try to stop Leo putting others at risk, and to that, remember Midoriya, I’ll always be on your side.”
Nagant said as she drove the helicopter away, leaving Izuku with a slightly better mood and heart, Izuku put on his hoodie’s hood and stepped on the buildings edge, marvelling at the night sight before Izuku took a deep breath and went through the entrance door to the fire emergency staircase leading down, as Izuku made his way through the building downwards and exited from the fire exit to a nearby alleyway as Izuku pulled his new phone out and tried to call his mother.
As much as I hate to involve mom in this, I need a place to stay.
Izuku was putting his moms number into the phone and tried to call her but then he got a familiar automated message, Izuku looked back at the phone’s screen and almost cursed as he saw that Nagant forgotten to buy one very important thing: Internet Connection!
Oh great, where do I go from here?
Izuku spent the next few hours wandering aimlessly as he tried to find a free Wi-Fi spot and as he did, Izuku leaned right in front of the café and began to pull up the map on his phone, Izuku saw that his mother’s house was at least five miles away, so Izuku tried to find places where men could stay, and surprisingly, there was one hotel a few blocks down, Izuku was about to go down there but then remembered something.
I don’t have my credit card with me, a bank, but they don’t open until 9.00, and now it’s about 5.00……… darn it.
Izuku realized he had no other choice but to start walking to his home, and right as Izuku was walking down through the streets and passing by some closed stores alongside of the now setting moon, Izuku strolled as he tried to stay hidden, from anyone including the authorities, while Izuku was constantly practicing switching between his normal vision and echolocation, he stopped as he saw a newspaper lying on the ground which Izuku picked up and saw the headlines.
Villain responsible for three causalities on the loose, location the hospital…… *Sighs, looks like I still have a mess to clean up.
Izuku thought as he kept walking down the street, after a few turns and stops, Izuku suddenly heard a few heavy footsteps behind him and turned to face the incoming person, and saw that it was a group of three women with, very suspicious items on their grasps, Izuku was about to let them go and mind his own business but then one of the girls grabbed Izuku’s hoodie collar as the three stopped and the one who grabbed Izuku held him seemingly hostage as a woman in an Allmight hoodie seemingly stopped in front of the three.
“Halt Crawler! You wouldn’t want this innocent… wait, that’s a man---”
Izuku wasted no time as he uppercut the woman who was holding him hostage and was about to run away but the boss woman seemingly turned the floor slippery which made Izuku fall and smacking his head, Izuku while laying down activated echolocation again as he saw that the Allmight hoodie wearing woman, probably the Crawler, began to take on the other two women, Izuku was trying to get up as he numbed the back head pain and was about to run away but he saw that one of the villains suddenly grew big and seemingly juiced up.
Oh no, trigger!
Izuku realized as the Crawler dodged a punch and took out the other villain but the villain Izuku had knocked out was about to unleash some sort of projectile at Crawler, Izuku grabbed the villains arm and disarmed her as Izuku snapped the elbow and kicked the ankle, dropping her to the ground, Izuku looked back to see that the Crawler had taken care of the two villains, and checked the tongue of the bigger villain, a classic sign of trigger diagnosis.
She seems to be, less, legally aware? Doesn’t call the cops…… she’s a vigilante isn’t she.
Izuku concluded as the Crawler seemed to be checking the other villains tongues as well as their pockets, probably the three are regular thieves with a dose of third-party intervention, Izuku just sighed and was about to leave as he put on his hoodie’s hood back on but right as Izuku was about to step away, he found out a way to get through his problems with one way.
“Hey, uh… The Crawler-san, can you help me?”
“Of course citizen!”
The Crawler replied as she seemed, happy to help Izuku, who raised an eyebrow as he was, taken aback by the Cralwer’s enthusiasm to help him, Izuku echolocated one more time and made sure that no-one was around before asking, “You aren’t, really, I’m a man!”
“So? Why should I care?”
“Uh, because of the, criminal behind you!”
Izuku yelled as he saw the main villain stand back and was about to charge at the Crawler who turned and was about to deal with the villain again but another woman with a bigger figure appeared out of nowhere and punched the villain to the ground, Izuku winced as he could hear the slight cracks of bones the villain just got, the woman approached Crawler while Izuku suddenly felt another surge of hunger coming up.
“Crawler, what are you doing slacking?”
“Uh, I was just---”
Izuku was supporting himself up with a nearby lamp pole as he tried to settle down the upcoming hunger he was getting, as Izuku was trying to deduce what was making him getting this hungry this fast, while the two vigilantes were bickering, Izuku could feel his breathing getting more erratic as he felt his sanity getting eroded, as the Crawler seemed to notice this, Izuku looked at the unconscious villain as he started to feel the desire again.
The Crawler seemed to be unaware of the threat Izuku poses towards her as she tries to help Izuku but as Izuku’s dead staring eyes laid on one of the unconscious villains and was about to charge but got knocked out by the other vigilante as Izuku started to go unconscious, with the last thing he saw was a very concerned Crawler and a confused Knuckleduster.
