Note
~Daisy/Skye was raised as Hydra ~everything is still the same till s1 which I will write about in the prologue.~Daisy/Skye does have her powers and had them the whole time.~ I have seen AoS once and half times so I remember the basics but as much a I like canon which will be for the basic 'plot' but i will be making up stuff.~ all ages the same but Skye/Daisy will be a bit younger then her age in the film(25-26) at the being of the show.~ I'm basing Skye/Daisy by her looks in the comics, like the with the pixie cut.~don't expect much, plus the story will probably move quickly as I can't write any filler chapters for life.

Chapter 29

Daisy's actions regarding the destructiveness of the compound in China have caused a bit of a problem over the last three months as it was seen as an attack. With a stroke of luck, it didn't cause much harm but as soon as she was back in America the government knew was very much an ament of throwing her in a high-security jail.

Patting up and down their room, Daisy was in deep thought. Sooner or later the government would crash into the compound and take her whether she liked it or not plus it wouldn't do well to piss off the government now or even any moment in time.

"I need a lawyer, do you think so Wanda?" Wanda looked up from her book that was sitting in her lap. Daisy doesn't even know why she was asking Wanda, with you being insulting Wanda knew less about the law than she did and despite being around for longer she still only had twenty-three years of total knowledge.

"Why are you asking me, ask Tony. He'd give you a very much expensive lawyer of his." She shrugged as she continued to read. How could she do it? Daisy asked herself, Wanda was like a warm blanket of serenity always comforting even at tense points in time.

"But I don't want an expensive Lawyer. I want a good one. Plus they would probably only think Tony bribed the lawyer anyways." Daisy flopped down onto the soft mattress letting herself sink into it. Her complaints almost were like a whiney child which spoiled her life.

"Well, no point as Wait I do actually." Wanda slipped off the bed much to Daisy's annoyance as she looked around her jacket pocket until she pulled out a business card.

"Here, phone these. Searched them up and pretty good." Wanda flicked the card in her direction before going off to find her brother, leaving Daisy in peace to call the lawyer. If she was to be put on trial and or prison for understandingly killing a whole bunch of people and destroying a prison then she would at least need a good lawyer.

——————————————————

Great, a cracked rib and the Stich on his back had opened up again.

Of course, it sent any different from a normal week with him. Go out, beat up criminals and break the law, which was ironic seeing as he thought the law was the only way. But he was a Murdock and they never seem to do things the easy way.

Matt let out a rather loud sigh, as he rubbed his eyes under his glasses. Trying to drown out the rush hour of lunch as people below shouted and cars horns when off. It didn't help his impending headaches that brew at the back of his head. Props to the man that thought it was most great full to hit him with a wooden plank. Safe to say his arm wouldn't be of any use for a few weeks.

He could hear Foggy mumbling to himself, reading a small case out loud as he sipped on an overwhelmingly strong coffee. Karen was rearranging some papers whilst listening to the latest news on the radio. Honestly, Matt could also feel his eyes slipping close as he rested his head on his desk, would he regret not sleeping for almost three days and not getting enough sleep than the average man? Sure, but he couldn't find it in him to let the innocents of Hell's Kitchen go unprotected for even a night. Evil still lurks even if Fisk was imprisoned.

Snapping his eyes open when he heard the annoying ringing of the old phone go off, stretching his bruised and battered muscles as he got up from the hardened desk chair that did nothing for his back. Karen picked up the phone as Matt was just by the door.

"Hey, Matt?" Karen got his attention by pressing the cold metal in his hands, "It's for you." Curiosity filled him, sure he'd gotten the odd call just asking for him or even Foggy but normally it was them all. They did work together even if Matt did prefer to work alone and take it into his own hands at night.

"This is Matthew Murdock, from Nelson and Murdock speaking."

"Ahh, Mr Murdock. We've Spoken before under different circumstances. Must have been a year ago, and I remember a mean right hook to the mouth."

"You..." Matt knew he was speaking too and his blood ran cold. He can't be dealing with people like that now. Taking a deep breath to look at the most composted but Foggy and Karen must know him a little too well than he would have imagined because they now looked at him with confused eyes.

"Look here, Mr Murdock, Hydra seemed to stop trying to recruit the stubborn Devil and I have no intention of bribing you. But I'm in the desperate leadership of a Lawyer at the moment. You see, but I'm also with the Avengers if that's any leverage. I would suppose not to you but the government is trying to put me on trial for my actions."

"I defend the innocent, not wanted criminals like you." His jaw tightest as he took a deep breath to compose himself, but he couldn't help but want to take the job. The known criminal's where harder to defend, especially when they kneeled and turned, Avengers. No doubt it would be quite public seeing the nature of the heroes. Which would fall back on them because not everyone believes in justice and the law.

He can't believe he was doing this, "I'll defend you on conditions." This woman was a known murderer among the criminal underworld, even Fisk muttered about her, wanting such a person to be on his side.

Half an hour later he was off the Phone with Karen and Foggy looking at him wanting to know what they just signed on to.

"So..." his best friend looked at him through his growing fringe that hasn't already been slicked back.

"An Avenger what's us to defend them in court."

Foggy and Karen made a small intake of breath at the surprising nature of it, it was a simple question. Why them? A small firm that helped put a crime boss in prison. Apart from that they weren't known for anything else.

Matt could feel Foggy's knowing glare on him, "I'm sensing a but, is there a but?"

Running a hand through his hair, Matt readjusted his position from leaning on Karen's desk to his hands to his hips, letting out a sigh of annoyance, "But...it's not the six who save New York but one of the newest ones. Yet she turns out to have a larger list of criminal offences than Fisk. Turned a new leaf, so she says. Yet a murder." The murder went against everything he stood for, he wasn't against beating people senseless or what would be blatant hypocrisy on his behalf.

Now they were all there much conflicted because Matt had taken the Job, seeing as the woman had asked specifically for him but went against his morals and beliefs. The pay was far from good, with more bribery and dirty money than clean. It was a good thing they rarely except cash, with at least background checks before taking it. Very much to Matts's utmost dismay, they didn't have enough to pay the bills for the office and their own homes and the money would greatly help them. So Matt did the only thing he could and swallow down deep bitterness and get over it like the grown man he is.

That was until a week later when the trio had pulled up outside of the notorious Avengers compound, Foggy 'whispering' everything he sees for Matt in the best description he could. He could feel the rising nervousness begin to eat him up front the inside, shoving that feeling away like old trash and composing himself when Stark showed up.

Stark wasn't like what Matt thought, not really, he sounded almost near breathless with a low hum emitting from his chest area. Must be the infamous inventing he'd heard a few times around. It was weird, to say the least.

"You must be the Lawyers?" Tony asked with an arrogance that didn't suit the moment, but it matched his reputation as the so-called playboy who goes around sleeping with women. Yet again Matt can't say much as it would be hypocrisy again.

"Nelson and Murdock, at your service." Foggy realised with much enthusiasm, pleased to meet such a wonderful figure. To Matt, they were nothing more the portentous showmen, people with 'extraordinary' powers who save the world. Or in which case would the New York. Something Matt was grateful for; it was his home after all.

Groups of people with powers run amok around the globe, so why were the select peoples was Matts's questioned. Morals? Or it seems like technically, from Matts's view as a civilian in it all, at least one Avenger had committed one crime bad enough to be sentenced to a few years.

Matt must have been too caught up in his thoughts, Foggy leading him, to know that they were already halfway into the compound. Foggy and Stark, or well Foggy asked questions that boosted the man's ego and Stark answered them with more than enough cheeriness with Karen asking the odd questions.

Unlike Matt who was half-tired with another probably fractured rip and a new slash in his left arm. A scar. Failing to recognise his surroundings, he'd held in a hiss of pain when he walked into someone, someone vaguely familiar.

"Matthew?" Still the same Russian accent, not hindered by the American ways, mostly hidden surprise. Yet he'd spent one too many nights with Natasha I'm the past to know what she was feeling despite the cruel training of her past.

"Natasha, it's been too long." giving her a small smile before she uncharacteristically throws her arms around his neck making him stubble back slightly at the sudden weight. Nat was only doing this much to tease the three, Matt was all for jokes when he wanted, placing his hand around her waist to study her got more bewildered looks from them.

"You know the more we stand like this, the more curious Stark gets. He'll want to know how some lawyer managed to get with the feared Black Widow. Be careful he'll ask for tips." Natasha's voice was less than a whisper, she was one of the only few who knew about his abilities. Beating up crime in the mask was something he did way before the papers got a hold of it.

Just only coincidentally as he was taking down a child trafficking group, was the same one the Black Widow was tasked to take down. Turned out the two made quite the team, and one thing went to another and the next thing he knew they were in the same bed. The whole ordeal carried on for a few months, sometimes Nat would stay a few before heading back to work. That was until there was nothing more for them to beat up in the dead of night, no romantic ties just seeming work partners with fewer morals.

Matt chuckled slightly as Nat peeled away from him, "I'll keep quiet, for your sake."
She laughed, light and happy as she patted his cheek before stepping away. He could feel Foggy and Karen's very much surprised looks. It was a good thing they both knew about his 'hobby' seeing as it would be a lot easier to explain than 'how a small, underpaid lawyer manages to fall into bed with a secret agent.'

Natasha turned to the three clasping her hands together, "Come ill show you to the client. I'm sure you'll get back along just fine."

The small group of four trekked through the notorious building that held the Avengers. Such a place people would pay copious amounts of money to see but Matt never felt the need. Sure saving the world from a probable robot terrorist or aliens earned the respect of billions but for him, he'd just get the police after him.

Well, he was a vigilante who beats people up but a man with as much power as Wilson Fisk had over people, it was no doubt the man could easily take over places without the need to be seen. Fisk wasn't nearly the threat compared to robots and aliens but he could still cause damage most people can't.

But Matt pushed them thoughts aside to let himself concentrate on the task and then at any means to justify his illegal night activities to make himself feel a little better at what he does. When they came to a stop.

“After you.” The infamous spy held open the door for them to be greeted by two other people who had stood up from their seats and walked other to them. The Black Widow left leaving the three in the room with the other female Avengers.

“Mr Murdock, Mr Nelson and Ms Page, it’s wonderful to have you today.” She shook her hands off them, Matt refusing too he knew of course but he pretended not to know that she held a hand out for him. But he knew that she knew about his refusal with a little chuckle before she introduced herself and the other person.

“As you know I’m Daisy Johnson, your client, and my very much loving Girlfriend Wanda Maximoff. Now shall we get started?”
