Chapter 15
Daisy was bored.
All they had been doing was either trying to locate the Darkhold or small missions usually rounding up Hydra agents. She had now been here for a week.
She and May had gotten closer. May forgave her and told her that she understood her situation and would have done the same if she was in her shoes. Which made Daisy feel better.
Even if the woman forced her up a five to teach her Tai Chi or glared at her through dark eyes when she talked. Daisy enjoyed her company it was like a less talkative Natasha and Natasha talked a lot when she want to.
It was now seven o'clock and she had just finished her daily spar and Tai Chi season with May. And was about to search the globe for something that was more than likely in a different dimension.
"Come in." Coulson was waiting outside, probably wondering if he should knock or not.
"I need you for integration, try to keep the violence to a minimum." She thought for a second that Coulson was going to tell her she was on the food run because they were low on food and half of the people here were picky on what they eat.
They walked at a steady pace towards the cell and Daisy was thinking all about the ways she could get this person to a spill their secrets, Non-violent of course.
Only their person handcuffed was a Hydra agent that served under her. And as soon as he saw it there he shouted curse words such as Traitor and Bitch.
She was unfazed as she walked over to him on an intimidating side and gripped his jaw. She cringed at what she was about to do but if they wanted him to love then she has to get it done with.
With a swift motion, she held open his mouth with incredible strength as he crashed under her grip. On the other hand, she felt around the inside of his mouth in search of a cyanide capsule or anything that could be used to kill themselves.
With a smile of triumph, she pulled out the small clear tablet-like object filled with the deadly white powder. Coulson with a disgusted look handed her a tissue and a small bottle of hand sanitiser which she took with great pleasure before slipping on her gauntlets.
"So your gonna tell use the information you have from Hydra." She leaned over the table looking down at him as the guy was intimated.
"N-No, Mam, I d-don't get told anything." Daisy's face showed her disgust for the man's cowardice. She slammed her hands down on the table making the man and Coulson respectively flinch.
"You Listen here, Jones, you must have something even the smallest detail that even I would know. Or I'm going to make you say it." She walked around the table and whispered the last sentence into the man's ears making him visibly shiver.
The man remained stubborn as he kept his mouth shut, Daisy now had found a subject to test out her theories. She spent the last few weeks distributing the different vibrations each emotion felt like. Now all she has to do was to try and feel his emotions and change the vibrations hopefully without frying his brain.
Daisy placed two fingers on each temple as she concentrate on the brain's vibrations. The heart was easy enough to read but the brain was an unknown territory that she hadn't stepped into. The possibilities she had if this worked made her work harder.
"What are you doing, I pacifically told you no violence." Coulson moved in the direction, back was pushed back by a small dose of Daisy's power.
Putting a finger to her lips, indicating that he should be quiet, she went back to concentrate on the man's mind. It took her a long minute or so to feel and recognise the minuscule vibrations in the man's brain.
The only thing that helped her a lot was that he was already in fear so she just needed to amplify it, so she still had no idea how to change one's emotions directly.
Daisy slowly fed his brain more vibrations with precision into the exact area, to hopefully amplify the fear. She didn't think it would work as it is her first time doing this sort of experiment. The last one was seeing if she could explode the heart from the inside. Now she can do it effortlessly.
Daisy realised that it had worked when the guy started to shake and whimper in fear, or pain. Letting go of the guy's head, feeling exhausted, she swayed a bit on her feet before collapsing in the plastic chair.
"Now tell, what do you know." But the man was sobbing too much to even answer.
"G-Get away fr-from me." He managed to let out, more scared the before. The Director sent her a glare for ruining their prisoner but she saw it as a win. Not only did her theory was true but also worked on the first try, which had never happened before.
"We're not going to hurt you, we just need what you know about Hydra. But you feel sacred because of what might happen. But if you tell us nothing bad will happen." Daisy told him in a Coulson like fashion as she attempted to calm the guy.
"Th-they have split up. I-i don't know why. My rank was pulled after you left. Everyone has either left o-or turned on each other. Don't make me g-go back, anywhere but Hydra."
That settles things slightly. The stones that were destroyed Hydra as they were the backbone and start of this whole thing. Once again S.H.I.E.L.D unknowingly saved people.
"Do you think, you know, be able to stop him from being scared?" Coulson looked side-eyed at the cowering guy.
"Not today, I feel like I'm going to collapse in a heap."
"You are off for the day, Agent Johnson. Rest, your night shift tomorrow."
Groaning, throwing her head back much to Coulson's delight as he laughed at her teenage reaction. Even so, she left and made her way to her bunk. Making excuses to anyone that tried to talk to her.
One week.
One week, She told herself before she could see the Avengers again, she frequently found herself missing Wanda more. She never let herself be too caught on as they were closer to another Avenger.
Flopping down on the not so comfortable bed, she let out a sigh of relief as her tense muscles relaxed. Before she could even get dressed into her pyjamas the bathroom door opened scaring her.
"What the fuck May. Really." Daisy was in disbelief that someone could make her jump. No one, not even Natasha has succeeded yet. The younger blamed it on her powers being weakened but May was sneaky.
May let out a smirk, Daisy thought maybe that May liked making people jump just for her pleasure not like she could say much she also did the same.
Ignore her, Daisy picked her clothes which consisted of one on Wandas slightly larger band tee-shirt and a pair of cotton shorts. She was extremely exhausted despite it being the usual time the late riser Agents began to rise.
To her annoyance, the power she had still made her tired after extensive use all Wanda's magic gave her was to hear vibrations more accurately hence why she was able to do whatever she did to Jones without slipping up.
May was still in her room, this time sitting at her desk with her feet propped up on the table. She seemed pleased by whatever band was on the shirt.
“Nirvana, yours or your girlfriends.”
“Wanda's and she isn't my girlfriend.” Daisy got May a not so scary glare the woman raised her elegant eyebrows.
“Keep telling yourself that.” before she left the room.
“If it does then, you and Coulson better sort your feelings out for each over as well. I'm not the only one.” Daisy shouted after her, how could two people be so perfect for each other and never noticed it.
When she drifted to sleep, her thoughts went back to Wanda. The dark hair, green eyes and personality. Something about her made her feel warm and fuzzy.
A feel she hasn't felt before, Love was a new concept to her and felt like she didn't deserve it. Every wrong in her past was all her, no mind control was ever put on her. Everything had been her chosen desire. To kill, their path was already set before they were even born. Destined to be more than they are.
