Chapter 7
it's been a week since the events of Sokovia. And the girl was like an 0-8-4. No one knew anything about her or what she was. Until Fury had come back with some information he didn't disclose where he had obtained it.
The Avengers, Twins and Fury all had moved into the conference room that had been empty due to Fury's demand.
He put a picture up on the screen of what seemed to be her file that Hydra had made Daisy.
"Daisy Johnson," Fury stared, "Been in Hydra since all her life. Trained as a Weapon. Has powers we still don't know the strength of and is an assassin. So I advised No scaring her unless your Romanoff. Also, she has Maximoffs blood so tell us what you know." He gestured to Wanda to get her to start speaking. They waited a few awkward minutes of silence as she was probably a bit scared to speak.
"She has parts of my gift. Through my blood, I have seen a future but I can't tell you but I trust that she is on our side." Wanda spoke in her whimsical accented voice, tho it made the table more confused.
"So if I inject myself with your blood then would k get powers?" Tony asked because no one else wanted to say it without sounding. Big-headed or needy.
"No because you won't be Worthy." her head tilted a bit like it did when she went into thought. Thor seemed to talk, the group had forgotten he was here as he was a bit quiet than normal.
"Like Mjollnir, where you need to be worthy to harness its power."
"It's not like that, I manipulate Chao so old, a legend, before your time. It laches onto a person and uses them. But it's smart to know many outcomes of one's life. No one can because it will kill you if you tried. Daisy is the only one like me as she is my equal. You shall see it to one day." she seemed unaware of the confused glances of the seven pairs of eyes looking at her.
Wanda simply ignored the looks of the team in favour of going to sit outside of the cell where their new visitor was staying for the time being.
"So Thor are you gonna tell us next that there's a myth of some kind running around your realms." Tony rolled his eyes while leaning back on the chair, as the overs shook their heads at his attempt to joke.
"Now I remember..." collective groans all around, too fed up to deal with any more surprises. But Fury seemed generally interested and motioned for the blond to carry on.
"Hundreds of years ago Kree, an alien race, came down to Midgard and performed experiments on humankind. But on no records of the experiments working. But Kree has had myths about some being that could tear any world in half." And what they just witnessed a week ago they could point fingers at who it was.
"So you're telling me that we have a myth laying in cells with powers from an old legend but is ahead of hydra and one of the world's best hackers. But Maximoff is her equal so who knows how powerful she is. Plus we don't even know the range of these abilities." Fury seemed agitated as he paces back and forth on the rug.
"She Waking," Bruce said from his corner, looking up from the tablet. At once the rest seemed to scramble out of the door causing Tony to trip over Thor, now realising who they are now dealing with us not just a Hydra agent with abilities.
When the group reached the cell in time, but not without a few more ended up flat in their face not as anyone would admit it. Wanda put her finger to her lips indicating them to be quiet.
The young woman looked at her equal in the holding cell as she tossed and tuned but did not get much use out of it as the cuff held her ankles and arms to the bed. So she doesn't do herself or over harm.
They all stood around the cell like people watching an animal on show at a zoo. She looked in pain as her fractured arms pulled against the restraints unwilling. Tho it couldn't stop them from noticing the familiar red hue glowing around her fingers like a halo of sorts.
Wanda looked interested, she didn't even know the extent of her powers let alone someone else's. She tilted her head in wonder at the many possibilities that the mind stone gas has shown her and what would happen if Daisy was to touch it.
Finally, she had stopped tossing and her heart rate had slowed down but just enough to signify she was now awake. Wanda wanted to go in first but Bruce being the doctor told her to wait just in case anything happens.
When Daisy look like she had adjusted to the lights, Bruce took it as his cue to enter the cell she was being kept in. She was eyeing, definitely looking to see what type of a threat he was.
"So I was saved?" She questioned. Daisy hadn't suspected she oils survive along with her bone fracturing and the overuse of her powers let alone be saved. But she remembered that S.H.I.E.L.D was all for saving people who could be saved, but a Hydra head.
Bruce seemed taken back by her question as his eyes widened a bit, "we're not monsters." He said while checking her vitals.
She didn't know how bad she was damaged because apart from her still feeling tired after waking up. But when she moved slightly she felt paint shooting through her body so she let herself lay back and probably unarmed in the bed.
"Don't move, you will need to stay out for a few days but your body is healing at a fast rate something close to Thor or Steve." Bruce looks intrigued at the results and they took her DNA to study but she couldn't help shaking the feeling that the man's look on his face was similar to the ones at Hydra.
She took the time while being examined to look around the cell. It was mainly made out of glass and was round so you could be seen from all sides. She didn't like it as she felt like she was in a zoo or the room that held her for many years in her childhood. Your every move is being watched to determine your risk.
The bed was a standard issue for hospitals. White, uncomfortable and bars on the side to which her wrist and ankles were cuffed. The vibrations didn't bound back so it wasn't made out of the same material as the cage on the bus. Which she was told was vibranium.
Outside was Wanda looking in on her she felt wired as she wanted to talk to the woman because they held similar experiences. Expect for the fact that she caused Wanda's. Tho the redhead looked tired as a dark circle surrounded her green eyes.
"Can witchy here come in, Banner? Please." She thought to herself that she should work on her manners and Hydra didn't say please or thank you it was all ordering and bossing around anyone below you.
"Very well, but I shall be back in half an hour. Then I'll take it that Fury will give you a few words." Then he packed up his things leaving with a clipboard under his arm and bag around his shoulder.
When he was out of sight Wanda pulled up a horrible plastic chair to sit on at the side of the bed. The moments between were filled with awkward silence. As she bowed her head down Wanda's brown locks trailed over her face.
"I'm sorry." Daisy blurted out in the second, "that's not even enough to describe what I did to you. They experimented on you for me to have powers. The scars on your body were because of me. Everyone around me gets hurt."
Daisy a long time felt the overwhelming emotions all crash down on her. Her vision was blurry from trying to plug back the tears that fall she didn't even notice Wanda move from the chair to the bed. She felt hopeless as she looked into Wanda's green eyes.
"Look at me." and Daisy continued to look back into the swirling pits of emeralds. "It's not your fault you gee up believing what the monsters pushed into your head. I had a choice to join and I took it in the belief in what j would do would make my city better but it only corrected it. You have a choice now to get away from this mess. Join me if you want in the Avengers. It turns out there not so bad after all." she knew Wanda was right.
The Redhead has been filled with rage because Stark had killed her parents but he didn't just sell weaponry off to the worst sort of people.
"You don't need to be scared anymore. I have seen it in my dreams you will become their worst nightmare in due time, Bela Rada.”
She gave Wanda a watery smile. She was now definitely her favourite Avenger coming close to Hawkeye.
