Brother..
Not much light could breach through with the icy landscape , blue light just barely creeping in the room , you mumbled quietly slowly waking up from your first night in Jotunheim. Your eyes slowly opened as you tiredly sad up rubbing your eye , just remembering where you are you looked beside yourself letting out a sigh of relief seeing you were alone in bed.
You got up stretching letting out a yawn , you looked around checking to make sure Loki wasn't hiding in the en-suite. You checked the suite seeing a new set of clothes left for you which looked drastically less fancy then your outfit from yesterday , you glanced down seeing a note left atop the pile you picked it up reading it.
' Good Morning Darling ,I hope your slumber was pleasant , apologies for not being present when you woke , but I had some business to attend to , feel free to occupy yourself in the library or conservatory if you wish till I return, stay out of trouble - Loki '
You sighed somewhat happy you have some time alone without him hovering over you , might be a chance to properly explore , and do some research in the library and learn more about where you are , maybe even a way to get away , with that in mind you got up and dressed and left the room , being careful to make sure Loki wasn't lurking around hoping you'd try to escape and get caught.
Thankfully he was nowhere to be seen , you sighed in relief , heading downstairs , you suddenly jumped out of your skin hearing a woman's voice chirp "Good morning m'lady" you turned to see a woman with light blue skin and dark brown hair standing not to far away from you , she immediately frowned lowering her head apologetically , "My humble apologies I did not mean to frighten you" you were surprised to see another person here especially another species you hesitated for a moment before smiling nervously "No no it's okay I just didn't know anyone else was here."
The woman smiled sweetly shaking her head "Not at all , Master Loki doesn't keep too many servants but the palace does need a certain amount of caretaking which is why I'm here, I'm Elise , if you ever need anything at all please let me know I'd be happy to help in any way I can and make you feel more at home here". You couldn't help but smile seeing such a friendly face , it made you feel so much less alone here "T Thank you so much Elise it's so nice to meet you I'm Y/N.." she smiled in response "The pleasure is mine truly.. now are you by any chance hungry Master Loki informed me you are yet to eat much here , I can prepare whatever you would like" she gave a warm smile and you just now realized with Loki not around you were starving you frowned not wanting to put work on her "O Oh um I don't want to make you go out of your way.." she shook her head "Not at all m'lady I don't mind at all I enjoy cooking actually" , you couldn't turn down the second offer so you looked at Elise with a hesitant smile "In that case , food would be lovely , whatever is easiest for you to make is okay.." she nodded and headed to what you assumed was the kitchen she paused momentarily poking her head out the door "Any dietary restrictions miss?" you shook your head and she smiled "Alrighty! your meal will be ready shortly!" she then disappeared into the kitchen chamber and you smiled taking a seat. The first comfort you had since arriving , a friend.

Loki sneered immediately being notified of an intrusion to Jotunheim , he had a feeling who was here , he stood from the watch tower looking onward to the entrance sighing sensing a presence behind him "Brother.." he turned around to see Thor behind him staring with a stern look "To what do I owe the displeasure.." his tone frustrated he had hoped for this inevitable visit to take a bit longer , yet here he was only a night after he took you.
Thor was not in the mood for games he spoke up and approached him "Loki I am in no mood for your games , you know exactly why I am here.". Loki rolled his eyes "I highly doubt it is for the love of me" , Thor growled pointing the mjolnir at his chest "ENOUGH , Loki you will return Lady Y/N to Midgard immediately , this is the only time I will warn you" his tone softened for a moment "Come now brother we do not need to go down this route , return the girl to Midgard and we can forget this ever happened.."
Loki scoffed almost laughing "Am I now? now tell me brother , where is the part where that benefits me in any way at all.." he chuckled "Might I also add the girl as you so called her agreed to come with me of her own volition , I hardly took her kicking and screaming-" Thor interrupted "You put her fathers life on the line.. she hardly had a choice" Loki shrugged folding his arms "Well matter of priorities differs from person to person , can't say I would act the same in the position she-" "LOKI" Thor roared anger rising negotiating far from his forte "We both know you are using her to get to Stark , you've made your point now let her go." Loki laughed leaning on the wall "Bold of you to assume Brother that getting to Metal Man was my only motive" Thor looked at him questioningly "What other motive could you possibly have brother"
Loki smirked somewhat "You've met Ms Stark I assume Brother , must admit she's quite the catch-" Thor shoved him against the wall "Loki if you have so much laid a hand on her I will drag you to Asgard to leave you rot in the dungeons for the rest of your-" Loki only laughed in response "Temper temper Brother .." Thor was livid his patience running thin
"Listen end this now and I will talk to father , make him see reason allow you return home" Loki once again scoffed "Asgard? return to your shadow when here I am a king , how foolish do you think I am Brother." Thor frowned for a moment part of him hurt Loki no longer saw Asgard as home , he "You wish to settle this the hard way Brother , a war with Asgard is on the line-" "You're bluffing" he stated plainly "Come on you really think Odin will start a war over a midgardian girl , please we both no he hasn't the smallest notion of crossing me unprovoked"
Thor paused knowing his father would be unlikely to help the avengers "Father on side or not I have my allies Asgardian and Midardian , the very ones who defeated you in the past , Loki grinned "This is my territory Thor , far from Midgard I have a army myself your 'allies' wouldn't last ten minutes here , as well as that dear Y/N agreed to come with me , in return of sparing Stark , this bargain is between me and her , you know how deals such as this work , you don't interfere.. I will also warn you Brother do not cross me , this does not involve you. Now I suggest you leave.." Loki turned to leave.
Thor decided to play the last card he had , "Loki , Stark isn't the only one she knows , she has a mother , family , friends , a life you're taking everything from her.." he stopped dead in his tracks a tinge of guilt striking him "...she came willingly" Thor quickly responded "Would she have if Tony had not been involved.." he hesitated not responding "You have no leg to stand on Brother she's mine , you can't save her nor can Stark , a deal is a deal"
Thor knew he was right , he wasn't going to release you without a fight , he sighed in defeat , negotiating wasn't going to work "It can never be said I didn't try settle this peacefully Brother.." he turned to leave , Loki hesitated "Thor.." he turned back briefly giving Loki a stern look "I won't harm her.." , Thor didn't see that one coming however his brother was notorious for lying "How am I to believe that"
Loki paused "I have no intentions to kill or hold her prisoner , her conditions are that of royalty.. Swear on mothers life" Thor paused Loki did many things but would never swear on Frigga's life when insincere , he nodded convinced you were at least safe , as safe as being in Loki's care one can be that is , Thor sighed a final time "Stark won't let this go regardless Brother , she is his daughter" Loki took a moment "Brother I propose you visit time to time check up on her to verify her safety , that is as far as I negotiate take it or leave it , we both know you can't interfere with another god's deal with a human"
Thor considered this for a moment a compromise was better then nothing , at least he could insure you were okay , "Alright we have a compromise then for now.. but I assure you Stark will never stop trying to get her back , with or without my help" Loki grinned "Oh I can imagine , however metal man is no match for me , and I'm not letting her go without a fight" he turned walking away "Farewell Brother I expect to see you soon.." he walked away hearing Thor call Heimdall behind him , he groaned finally getting rid of him.
He was annoyed having to have Thor show up going forward but if it can ward the avengers off for a while he'd take it , he had much bigger plans then just keeping you here , this was much more then a game to him , he'd mostly been honest with Thor he certainly was not going to kill you and locking you up would only make his goal harder , he had no plans to severely harm you , however a threat goes a long way as well as that he had his own methods of keeping you in line if you were to challenge him. He grinned and began heading back to the palace.
"You're going to wished you never crossed me Tony Stark.. Just you wait"
