Chapter 17
"Thanks for the warning, Dorcas."
"You are very much welcome, also, Evan. I think of it as a little revenge on the behalf of Ravenclaw. You do you with that information."
"What house are you even in, Dorcas?" asked Barty. "I've legit never seen you wear any house colors. You just seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time."
"None, of your business, Jr." She winked at him and left the Slytherin common room.
Barty, flabbergasted, just waved his hands "Can you believe her?"
When Sirius and James made their way back into the dorm room, Pete was already up and he was stretching doing some yoga poses. It was the single most hillarious thing to Sirius.
"You WILL regret laughing at me one day," Pete threatened. "Just remember me when you're old and your backs and joints are hurting!"
James was playing with the idea of playing some Quidditch before breakfast, but he scratched that off when he got reminded of the possibility of missing the best part of the prank -the part where Snape drinks the juice.
"What about our Moony?" Asked James. "He is sleeping hard as rock, which it rare and there is a full moon coming so we should let him sleep."
Remus shuffled in his bed, still sound asleep.
"Yeah, James is right, ya know." Pete shivered with fear at the thought of waking up Remus. "We should probably let him sleep, so he is well rested."
Remus let out a quiet snore.
"Guys! Are you scared of him?" chuckled Sirius. "Imagine what he would do if we'd let him miss it."
"You are right Sirius, thanks for volunteering!" Peter dropped his yoga and jolted out of the room before Sirius could raise any complaints.
"Looks like this is on you, mate." James stated. "I will stay in a corner for moral support." A mischivious smile appeared on James's face as he got ready to witness the scene. "And remember, Padfoot we love you!"
"Oh- screw you guys..."
It took a good 10 minutes before James, Sirius and Remus came down to the common room, Sirius was now equipped with a brand new black eye.
"Holy shit!" gasped Marlene. "What happened to you Sirius?"
"Never try to wake up Remus. Just a tip for all of you." He sighed rubbing his cheek.
Mary got a strange feeling as Sirius walked into the room, but never the less her and Lily couldn't hold in laughter. "Good job, Remus!" Lily giggled. "Let's be honest if anyone deserves a black eye it's Sirius."
"Don't say that Evans!" growled Sirius at Lily.
"Wow, pump the hate breaks fox and friends!" James jumped at Lily's defence.
"Ok, James geez. Let me be grumpy for a bit as well. Don't just let Remus have the free pass." Sirius's rolled his eyes.
"I've said I'm sorry, Sirius..." Said Remus apologetically.
Marlene tried to defuse the hostile atmosphere. "ALRIGHT! Sirius, wanna tell them about our little plan?" She grinnded.
"OH FUCK, You are right! I completely forgot. With all the homework and prank... Are you sure you're up for this, Marlene? I would hate to ask too much of you."
"I've already told you it's fine, even Dorcas is on board with it. I tried to get Mary into it as well, but she refused."
Sirius noded. "Alright. Great. Let's go then."
"WAIT WHAT'S HAPPENING?" Asked James very much confused.
"YE- what's going on?" Lily shook her head. "Mary, Marlene? What?" She look at Mary for explanation.
"Not, my place to say, Sorry, Lils." Mary shrugged her shoulders, looking at Sirius with suspicion. "Besides, I don't have a good felling about this."
"What are the two of you planning are why were we left in the dark?" Pete sighed.
Marlene and Sirius shared a look, agreeing it's better to let them have be surprised as well. They sat on their way being bombarded with questions, that they refused to answer. As the students made their way into the Great Hall for breakfast, James and Sirius took their seats with Remus and Peter and the girls sat next to them, Marlene took a tactical seat opposite off Sirius. They were practically bursting with anticipation for the prank. James noticed Regulus and his friends walking into the Great Hall. Evan seemed in an unusually great mood for a Slytherin. Regulus was looking as grumpy and beautiful as ever. Their eyes met for a split second, sharing a look, before James could figure out the meaning of it. Lily distracted him from the younger Black brother.
"Look, the food is here." She gently poked him with her finger, placing a hand on his shoulder. And then it happened. One by one, the students started to take a sip of the pumpkin juice. At first, nothing happened. But then they started to giggle. And then they started to laugh. And before long, the entire Great Hall was filled with laughter. James and Sirius were practically falling off their seats with laughter. They had never seen anything like it. The teachers tried to calm the students down, but they were all too far gone.When the prank reached his peak, Marlene jumped up on the table.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME BLACK!" She screamed as loud as she could. The hall fell silent at the sound of her voice with the occasional giggle coming from the student, who couldn't contain themselves because of the potion effect. "AND WITH DORCAS OF ALL PEOPLE!"
"Marlene, get off the table!" Sirius started to freak out.
"I WILL NOT, I WAS YOUR GIRLFRIEND YOU DIPSHIT!" She started to shout, it started to look a bit too real for Sirius's liking.
Another loud voice spoke up. "YOU HAD A GIRLFRIEND YOU ASSHOLE!?" It was Dorcas, joining in on the act. "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! YOU ASSHOLE!"
Remus and Lily shared a look with Mary. Mouthing to her if this is true, she just shrugged her shoulders. Not knowing what to say, since technically it wasn't all a complete lie from what she gathered from Marlene. Marlene and Sirius shared a look, signaling to each other it's time to stop and their little scene was finished, they left the entire Hall silent. It was the perfect revenge on his mother. Not only both of the girls are not pureblood but Sirius being 'unfaithful' and it getting out will surely finish the family reputation. Siris had a smug smile on his face before another voice echoed in the Great Hall.
"YOU WERE SCREWING WOMEN BEHIND MY BACK! YOU SAID I WAS THE ONLY ONE!" The voice belonged to Evan Rosier, who tried very hard not to have a grin on his face. He stood up and walk towards the Griffindor table. "YOU UNFAITHFUL PIECE OF SHIT!" Evan teared up and slapped Sirius so hard his head turned. "FUCK YOU, BLACK!" He dramatically turned on his heel and walked out of the Great Hall.
Sirius look at Marlene, confused, asking for an explanation. She didn't have one, she shrugged her shoulder and she held out her hand and slapped his other cheek with her full strenght, "YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH A DUDE AS WELL! YOU ARE A FUCKIN' WHORE, SIRIUS!" She shouted before she also left and left Sirius in the middle of the Hall with everyone's attention on him. This was most certainly not a plan.
