Non-reader POV

"Hello, Anthony," Loki said as he appeared in the Avengers' living room.
"Christ! Give a man a little warning." Tony narrowed his eyes at the God as he wiped his spilled drink off his shirt.
"Where's the fun in that?" Loki smirked. "Is my brother here?"
"Yeah, one sec. FRI, honey, want to tell Thor'o'eal that his brothers here?"
"Of course, boss."
"How goes being King, reindeer games?" Tony asked as the man took a seat on the couch. "Obviously not keeping you too busy if you're down here."
"Oh, you believe that do you?" Loki shook his head before putting his hand through his midsection, revealing that he was an illusion. "I've currently got another illusion in a meeting up there regarding the realm's finances while I try and sort this situation." He sighed as Tony whistled.
"You sure you don't want to give up the job? I can volunteer to fill in." Tony joked.
"No, thank you, Anthony. But I could go for that drink now." Loki said as Thor rushed into the room, Natasha, Steve and Yelena following after him, all clearly having just finished training.
"Brother!" Thor grinned, rushing over to embrace Loki, only for the man to disappear.
"Honestly, after all these years, you'd think you'd recognise an illusion." Loki sighed, appearing behind him.
"You'd think after all these years, you'd make them more obvious." Thor rolled his eyes, sitting on a couch. "Is everything alright back home, Loki?"
"Unfortunately not." Loki huffed, sitting back beside Tony. "You remember Lord L/N?"
"Of course, I do. I still have the scar to remember him by." Thor said, rubbing his shoulder. "Though I remember Y/N more so."
"She's why I'm here," Loki told Thor. "Her father tried to marry her off this afternoon."
"To whom?"
"Bragi," Loki said, causing Thor to snort.
"I take it Y/N took that well. Didn't we catch her with Lady Sif at Father's last birthday?"
"Twice, I believe." Loki corrected his brother. "Y/N is currently in my chambers with a bloody face."
"What?" Thor demanded, narrowing his eyes at Loki.
"When Y/N told her father that she didn't want to marry Bragi or any man for that matter, he struck her," Loki said, his eyes darkening. "L/N struck her with those stupid powered rings."
"Bastard!" Thor exclaimed, summoning Mjolnir to his hand as the sound of thunder rang out.
"Calm yourself, Thor. Luckily for her, Y/N was smart enough to turn his war dogs against him and sought refuge with me while they attacked him." Loki told Thor.
"The two of you must know that won't hold him for long."
"We do. That's why I'm here." Loki nodded. "Midgard is the last place L/N would look for his daughter. Would you be able to hide her while I sort this mess out?"
"Where would she stay?" Thor questioned his brother.
"She can stay here." Tony cut in. "It's not like we don't have the room." He shrugged.
"Would the rest of the team be alright with this arrangement?" Thor looked to his other teammates.
"Any friend of yours is welcome here, Thor." Steve smiled.
"As long as they don't cause a murder spree," Natasha added with a smirk.
"Oh, no, guess I have to go." Yelena joked.
"Believe me, Y/N wouldn't hurt a fly," Thor promised the team.
"Well, that depends on how her father fares." Loki rolled his eyes. "Thank you, brother. Give us an hour, and I'll have her sent down." Loki said before disappearing.

"So, Thor, buddy, want to explain why you're freaking out over some rings?" Tony asked. "I get you're mad that your friend was hit, but the thunder and the lightning?"
"What did Loki mean about powered rings?" Natasha cut in before Tony could continue.
"Mjolnir is a talisman for my powers. They help me control my powers and channel them. Lord L/N is a notorious thief and has stolen many other talismans. A hit from one of those rings negates how quickly any God can heal." Thor explains.
"What a prick," Yelena swore. "Can I have a couple rounds with him?" She asked, causing Thor to smirk.
"That depends on if Y/N has left anything of him."

Reader POV

"Heimdall, open the Bifrost!" Loki said before you were pulled through and towards Earth.
"Whoa, I don't want to do that again." You said when your feet were on the ground again.
"I've said that before." Thor chuckled, moving towards you and pulling you into an embrace. "Y/N, your face." Thor sighed once he pulled away.
"Looks worse than it feels." You lied, wrapping your arm through his. "Introduce me to your friends, Thor." You said, nodding to the group of people standing behind him.
"Of course, Y/N, these are the Avengers, Middgard's mightiest heroes. Friends, this is the Lady Y/N. The goddess of animals."
"There's no need for titles, Thor." You scoffed. "Thank you, Avengers, for allowing me into your home."
"Of course, Ma'am." A blonde nodded.
"Y/N, allow me to show you to your room," Thor said before leading you away from his friends and towards your quarters. "Y/N, truly, are you alright?" He asked once you were alone.
"I will be." You nodded. "I knew he would never approve that I like women, but I never thought he would physically harm me because of it." You sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Your father is wrong," Thor said, sitting beside you. "He should be happy when you are."
"Now, you sound crazy." You scoffed. "My mother would have been happy for me."
"I believe she would have been." Thor nodded. "But here, on Midgard, no one will judge you."
"Surely?"
"Well, no one worth a grain of salt will." Thor relented. "Especially on this team. You'll see."

Thor had been right.
In the four weeks, you had been living with the Avengers, you had come to see that the team didn't care that you were a goddess or that you liked women. They only cared that you were a kind person and willing to be their friend.
"Y/N! Please, tell me you're here!" Yelena exclaimed, rushing into your bedroom.
"Yelena, I could have been naked." You told the woman, raising a brow at the woman.
"And? We have the same parts. It's not like I've never seen them before. I saw Kate's last night." Yelena said, causing you to choke on air.
"Yelena!"
"Look, we can get back to this later. I need your help." Yelena said, taking your hand and dragging you towards the elevator.
"Yelena, where are we going?" You asked, holding up your skirts with one hand.
"There's something wrong with Fanny, and you're closer than a vet," Yelena said, pulling you out of the elevator once on her floor. "Relax, Lucky," Yelena said once entering the spare bedroom, causing the dog to sit.
"You trained Lucky to look over Fanny?" You rose a brow as you sat beside the crying dog.
"No, he did that himself." Yelena snorted. "He's very protective over Fanny."
"Well, she's a part of his pack. That makes sense." You told the woman. "Just give me a moment."
"Your face looks better. I can't see the bruising anymore." Yelena commented.
"Your sister helped me pick out some concealers." You said.
"Why?"
"Because I'm tired of looking at the bruises." You told her. "And I'm tired of people staring, especially Thor."
"You really care about what he thinks, don't you?" Yelena questioned you.
"He's like a brother to me. We grew up together." You shrugged. "After my mother died, Thor, Loki and their mother basically took me in. I first came out to Frigga, in fact."
"I thought Asgard would have been cooler with people being gay," Yelena commented.
"Most are. My father only cares because he can't marry me off to the highest bidder." You scoffed. "Is Lucky able to reproduce?"
"No, Kate had him fixed." Yelena shook her head.
"Do you take Fanny to the dog park?"
"On occasion."
"There's your answer then. Fanny's in labour." You said, gently playing with the dog's ears.
"What? No! Since when? Fanny?" Yelena asked, looking at the dog in confusion.
"I'm only sensing one pup if that helps. But Fanny's doing really well. I'm going to say she's still a couple hours off, so for now, we just let her do her thing." You told the Russian.
"Young lady, I thought we agreed to no children." Yelena scolded the dog. "Yes, I know, I love you too, but you're in big trouble." She said as the dog licked her chin. "Maybe I should call a vet."
"Don't worry. I've brought thousands of animals out of the womb, and I haven't lost one yet." You assured your friend.
"Really? Thousands?" Yelena rose a brow.
"Thousands." You nodded. "This baby will be fine, and so will Fanny."
"Thank you, Y/N." Yelena sighed. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
"I think you'd figure something out eventually." You smirked, running your fingers through Fanny's coat.

"Kate? What are you doing?" You asked, entering the gym.
"Training." Kate puffed, turning away from the punching bag to look at you. "Apparently, my hand-to-hand needs work. What are you doing up?" She asked, drinking heavily from her water bottle.
"Couldn't sleep." You shrugged. "Want to spar together?"
"You want to spar with me?" Kate rose a brow.
"Don't act so surprised. Almost every woman in Asgard knows how to fight." You said, moving into the room.
"No, no, no. I didn't mean that. I just meant you want to fight in a skirt?" Kate asked, gesturing to your floor-length skirts.
"Your enemy isn't going to care what you're wearing when they attack you." You shrugged
"Fair enough." Kate nodded. "Just give me like ten minutes. I mighta overdone it." She huffed, sliding down to the floor.
"Alright, then." You nodded before sitting in front of the woman.
"Hey, me and Lena were gonna go out for dinner tonight. Would you, I don't know, maybe, want to come with us?"
"Of course, I would." You smiled. "Are we going to the same place as last time?"
"Yeah, Lena's an addict to that spicy buffalo chicken pasta." Kate smiled.
"Well, it was very good." You nodded. "Can we get dessert from there again?"
"Of course, we can. You've got a real sweet tooth, Y/N." Kate chuckled.
"What can you expect of me? Sweets back home were grapes." You reminded her.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I could live with that." Kate shook her head. "I know Asgard's probably fantastic otherwise, but I gotta snack."
"It is beautiful." You smiled, thinking about your old home. "I think you'd like it there, Kate. You would fit right in."
"Really?" Kate rose a brow. "You think so?"
"Yes. You would have been noticed for your affinity to the bow, and Skadi would have trained you herself." You imagined.
"I don't know who that is, but I'm going to take that as a very high compliment." Kate chuckled.
"Very." You smiled. "Ready for me?" You asked, rising to your feet.
"Are you sure you don't want to change first?" Kate wondered as she stood.
"Kate, I can fight you in a skirt longer than this, with one hand, and still best you." You told the woman with a smirk.
"Is that a challenge?" Kate cocked her head. "Because Clint said I'm getting pretty good." She bragged.
"We'll see about that." You said, moving onto the mats. "Whenever your ready." You smirked, holding your arms out.

"Thor, please, be careful." You pleaded with your friend. "We both know he likes to leave scars."
"I am not as young as I was the last time your father and I spared, Y/N," Thor told you. "Should he attack me, I will be the one to come out victorious." He said, pulling you into an embrace and kissing your forehead.
"Pass on my love to Loki." You said, stepping back from your friend.
"I will," Thor promised before Hemidall took him in the Bifrost.
"Alright, we see the face. No more moping." Yelena said, suddenly throwing her arm around your shoulders. "We're here, so life's great."
"What? I'm not moping, Lena." You said, not bothering to move away from the blonde. "I'm worried."
"Thor's a big boy. He can take care of himself, can't he, Kate?" Yelena said as Kate took your hand.
"Thor'll be fine, Y/N," Kate said, squeezing your hand. "Now, Thor did ask Lena and me one thing before he left."
"What's that?" You asked, cocking your head.
"Thor told us to keep you busy," Yelena said, leading you back inside. "So, to keep you busy, we have movies planned, cuddles with Fanny and the baby, and whatever else you want to do to keep you entertained."
"Oh, no, I can look after myself. There's no need for the two of you to have to watch over me." You tried to pull away from your friends.
"Have to? Lena, do we do anything we don't have to?" Kate asked, turning to her girlfriend.
"No, Kate, I don't think we," Yelena smirked, squeezing your shoulder as the three of you entered the elevator. "Y/N, this is happening whether you like it or not, so you might as well just go along with it. And you get to play with the puppy." She sang.
"You still haven't named it?" You rose a brow at the blonde.
"He has a name. Yelena just doesn't like it." Kate told you.
"It's the name of a deer, Kate. Not a dog's name." Yelena rolled her eyes.
"What did you call him?" You questioned Kate.
"Bambi." Kate grinned. "He's named after a deer who's clumsy at first but becomes the king of the forest."
"We don't live in the forest, Kate." Yelena groaned as the three of you stepped out onto their floor.
"True, but that pup will take Lucky's place one day. Almost makes him a king." You said, causing Kate to cheer and Yelena to groan your name.
"How the hell am I supposed to fight against the two of you?" Yelena complained. "Fine, he's a Bambi. Happy?"
"Ecstatic," Kate said, kissing Yelena's cheek before pulling you onto the catch. "And because you love making us happy, you can get the snacks, babe."
"I hate you." Yelena shook her head but obliged the request.
"No, you don't!" Kate smirked, throwing her arm back around your shoulders. "What do you feel in the mood for, Y/N? Something scary? Romantic? Sci-fi?" Kate asked you as she turned on the massive television.
"I don't know why you always ask me. I'm not very good at picking." You groaned as Kate laughed.
"Because you're picking on instinct, not based on the actor like some people," Yelena said, reentering the room with a tray full of snacks.
"Hey, we worship Helena Bonham Carter under this roof. You hear me!" Kate teased, squeezing Yelena's hand as the woman moved to sit on your other side.
"Yes, dear."
"How about you put something on with her in it?" You suggested to Kate, who squealed and kissed your cheek.
"I am going to show you the best musical horror you'll ever see," Kate said, quickly searching for a movie.
"Prepare your ears for the worst. Kate will sing along despite how tone-deaf she is." Yelena whispered to you, causing you to giggle.
"Sh! Sh! It's starting!" Kate hissed.
"She reminds me of all the women back home, desperate for Thor or Loki to even look at them." You said, watching as Mrs Lovett threw herself at Sweeny Todd.
"I can imagine those two loving it." Yelena snorted.
"Actually, not really. Thor once confided in me that he hated their attentions. Because he knew they were after the crown." You mentioned.
"And Loki. I've met the guy once, but I can't imagine him being thrilled with girls following him around like lost puppies." Kate commented.
"Got it in one." You smirked. "Because Loki's affections are for the opposite sex. I believe he's quite infatuated with Tony." You told the women.
"I didn't realise Loki played for the other team."
"I guessed it."
"At least you had Loki back home. That must have made it a little easier." Kate said, turning to you.
"The only people who ever had a problem with my sexuality are my father and the suitors I would ignore." You shook your head. "Or the women who only wanted to try it out once and then would spread nasty gossip."
"Seriously? What bitches." Yelena shook her head.
"Isn't that life, Yelena? It doesn't matter. At the end of the day, I know who I am, and who I want to be, and in neither of those lives is that a liar. I like women, and that's all there is to say." You said.
There was a second of silence that seemed to stretch into eternity.
You went to say something, apologise for ruining the evening, when Yelena turned your face to hers and kissed you.
You froze at the feeling of your friend, and Kate's girlfriend's lips on yours. But you found yourself responding.
The two of you pulled apart with a gasp, and before you could demand an answer or apologise, Kate turned you to face her and kissed you with as much passion as Yelena had.
"What was that?" You asked, looking between the two after you and Kate separated. "Did the two of you plan that?"
"Well, not exactly. But something similar." Yelena smirked.
"Y/N, you've been here for almost four months, and you're one of our best friends, but we think there's something else here," Kate said, taking your hand. "If you don't think so or want this, or us, then we can pretend none of this ever happened," Kate promised you.
"But the two of you are so happy together." You said, looking between the two.
"We are. But, you make us happy too." Yelena shrugged, reaching out for your other hand.
"I've never done anything like this." You admitted.
"You don't have to answer tonight." Kate was quick to assure you. "Tonight, we can go back to movies and junk food. You can take as long as you want to think this over."
"Absolutely." Yelena nodded.
"I'll try not to take too long." You promised the two.
"Don't worry about the time. We're not going anywhere." Yelena told you.
"Thank you." You squeezed their hands.
"No problem." Kate smiled. "Now, we have to rewind because we missed the best song," Kate said, rewinding the movie.

"Stark, get away from the toaster!"
"Who let Steve make coffee?"
"Who ate the rest of my jam?"
Over the course of the last four months, you had come to realise that breakfast was one of the only meals everyone on the team would spend together.
And that made it the most chaotic part of the day.
"God, I need more coffee for this." Yelena groaned, slumping onto the table.
"You got to space them out at least an hour, Lena." Kate reminded the blonde.
"Stupid heart," Yelena grumbled, causing you to giggle.
"Friends! I have returned and brought company!" Thor exclaimed, bursting into the kitchen with a much more subdued Loki behind him.
"Real or not real?" You asked, looking at Loki.
"I can throw an apple at his head!" Clint volunteered, earning an apple to the head from Natasha. "Ow, Tash."
"Very much real, Y/N," Loki smirked before you rushed over to hug your friends.
"How is everything back home? How did it go?" You asked, looking between the men.
"Everything went perfectly fine, Y/N," Thor promised you.
"More than fine, Thor," Loki interjected. "Unlike our father, we were able to strip your father of all his titles and sentence him to live out the rest of his life in the dungeons." He smirked.
"Really? Oh, Loki, you are one-of-a-kind!" You exclaimed, throwing your arms around his neck again. "I don't even want to know how you did it but thank you!"
"Y/N, I made sure that while your father lost everything, you kept your titles and land," Loki told you. "You're free to come home and get back to your life."
"Oh, Loki, that's great, but if it's alright with Tony and the team, I'd like to stay. I have a date that I don't want to miss." You said, looking back at Yelena and Kate with a smile.
"Really?" Kate questioned you, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Yes." You nodded.
"But you can go home. Back to being Lady Y/N." Yelena reminded you.
"I know, but I prefer Y/N, friend, vet, your partner." You said, causing Yelena to smile.
"Okay, we're going to discuss all this later, and as long as I never see the three of you having sex on one of my expensive couches, Y/N can stay for as long as she wants," Tony announced.
"Thank you, Tony." You grinned, resisting the urge to hug the sleep-deprived genius.
"Very well, if that's your decision." Loki nodded.
"Come sit, boys. Have some breakfast." You said, dragging the two men to the table. "Loki, sit beside Tony." You ordered, sitting back between Yelena and Kate.
"You're bossy when you want to be," Yelena whispered to you.
"I'm a lot of things, Yelena."
"Oh, we know." Yelena nodded.
"And we want to know every part," Kate said, leaning over. "Now, all we gotta decide is where we're going for our date tonight."
