Summary
You and Billy spend a quiet night indoors.

You could hear the soft whoosh of the wind and the gentle rustle of all the trees. You and Billy were curled up on the couch, a thick fluffy blanket shared between the two of you while a snowstorm raged outside.

The TV was playing a nature documentary, the narrator's voice was warm and sweet, just the right amount of deep and kind that made it feel like a wise old man was telling you an important story.

"The River Otter is a playful creature, you see how he slides down the snow. He is trying to be efficient, he's got places to be and things to do."

Billy chuckled "I wonder if Otters have business meetings?". You couldn't help but let out a laugh, the thought of an otter in a suit rushing to be somewhere was outlandish, but you could almost see it, they seem to be very determined.

"Well, there are lots of important Otter things to do. Sea Otters have favourite rocks which they carry around in a little pouch, they also hold hands when they sleep so they don't drift apart."

Billy was trying his best to give you an indignant look "you want to tell me why you're keeping all these Otter facts from me?" Billy's attempt failed as he continued to speak, by the time he was done, he wore a mellow smile, more a simple acknowledgment of happiness than outright joy.

The narrator moved on, "Bears are just like us, they like a nice soft place to lay their head. Look at this lovely lady, see how she looks for the nicest moss to line her den with."

The next shot was of what looked like the outside of a small cave. The narrator went on, "Bears aren't true hibernators like hedgehogs, if need be, Mother Bear will wake up and defend her cubs."

"Wouldn't that be nice?" You were unsure of what Billy was asking you.

"Being able to stay in a hidey-hole all winter?" Billy nodded and let out a happy grumble. He thinks that would be an excellent way to spend the cold months, with you in a place that no one knew about.

"Unfortunately dear, I think the storm only has another day or two in it, then we have to go back to normal life." he looked at you like a steaming cup of hot chocolate or a prewarmed bed, or maybe like you were a glowing fire, and he was a man freezing.

He pulled you into his chest and his long arms around you, his voice was laced with contentment "well, I guess we'll have to make the best out of it."
