Blue Eyes

Arya was in and out of consciousness. The fever that had broken out in her veins from not completing her transition was devouring her. She was on the brink of death and extremely delirious. Jane and Erin tracked her down to the cellar after finding her room empty with the letters sprawled out on her desk. They didn't know what to do. When they found her late in the evening she was already out of it. Her pale and sweat drenched body was nearly absent of any sign of life. So they devised a plan. A plan to save her life. Jane called Darcy, Darcy called Tony, and Tony called in a favor. An hour later, the favor arrived.

"She's going to kill us." Erin's voice whispered.

"It's the only way." Jane's whispered back.

"Are you one-hundred percent certain you want to do this?" An unfamiliar man's voice said. Arya tried to open her eyes but they closed almost immediately. She was losing strength. She was dying.

"Yes. Please, help her. Save her." Jane said with true sincerity in her voice. Something Arya hadn't felt from her older sister since before her parent's died.

Arya felt her head being lifted by a large hand and her body fell limp. Her eyes fluttered open as she felt the slightest tickle of hair on her left cheek. Through her blurred vision she saw the faintest silhouette of a face framed with blonde hair and deepened with blue eyes.

"Hang in there." The same unfamiliar male voice said. The blue eyed stranger looking down at her smiled and never broke eye contact with her as she mumbled to herself. "I've got her. Do it." He said not removing his eyes from hers. His presence calmed her oddly. He seemed familiar to her, and yet she had never seen his face before.

Erin knelt down beside Arya and held her wrist out to Arya's mouth. Arya blinked over at her then looked at her wrist. A small cut had been made, allowing the blood to drip onto Arya's lips. Arya's eyes widened and turned red and black and blue veins began to spread onto her face. Her gums ached and her body went ridged. She shook her head.

"No!" Arya shouted as best she could. The blood began to trickle between her lips and Arya sighed. She closed her eyes tight trying not to give in. Erin held her wrist to Arya's lips and that was the end of the struggle. Arya clamped her teeth down on her twin sister's cut wrist and began consuming her blood.

"That's enough." The mystery man said and Erin pried her wrist from her sister's face. Erin stumbled back and caught her breath as she realized what she had just done.

Arya slowly sat up and the veins in her face began to dissipate. Her eyes went wide as she watched Tony crouch down to the floor of her kitchen and bandage Erin's wrist. She stood up abruptly and before she knew it she had moved to the other side of the kitchen, nearly at the speed of light. She caught her breath as she held her hands to her throat. A burning sensation ripped through her body. She clenched her jaw and focused her eyes on the floor beneath her feet. Trying her best to stay standing and not have a raging panic attack. It had happened. Her worst fear. She had turned. And her sister had made it happen. Arya felt pure rage bubble under her skin as her eyes found their way directly to Erin's. She lunged at her sister, pinning her against the far wall.

"Woah! Arya! It's me!" Erin shouted as she clamped her hands on her sister's wrists which held her neck against the kitchen wall. Erin coughed through pleading breaths for Arya to release her. "Please! I'm your twin!" She tried to yell but Arya grew more upset. Her eyes grew black and the veins that once graced her face returned.

"You did this to me! You should have just let me die!" Arya seethed through gritted teeth. Arya felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned her head to see those same blue eyes boring into her. The blue eyes that looked at her as an unfamiliar voice soothed her while she had her first drop of human blood.

"Let her go." The man said.

"Why should I listen to you?" Arya asked as she looked him up and down. Erin began to grow limp in her hold.

"We are the same. You don't have to be the monster you think you are. Trust me." He said and Arya suddenly felt an overwhelming feeling of hope. For some unknown reason she believed this man. Arya dropped Erin to the ground and Jane and Darcy immediately went to her. Arya faced the blue eyed man and tilted her head, the darkness in her eyes fading back to the bright green they had once been.

"Who are you?" Arya asked and the man brushed her hair out of her face.

"Thor Odinson. And just like you, I am a vampire." He said and Arya passed out.

Arya was exhausted. And not just from constantly passing out and waking up in places she hadn't fallen asleep in. But from the stress of everything as of late. She sat on her sofa while the newcomer, Thor Odinson, and her family had a conversation about her in the kitchen. She could hear everything they were saying and yet they tried to whisper.

"I can hear you!" Arya shouted not removing her eyes from the book she was pretending to read.

"We know!" Jane shouted back, frustration laced in her voice.

After another agonizing few minutes Jane and Thor walked into the living room and stood in front of her. Jane looked annoyed and Thor looked amused.

"What? You ruin my life and then stand there with smug look on your face?" Arya asked looking at Thor. He simply chuckled lightly. His laughed bellowed through the room as his chest shook with each laugh. Arya narrowed her eyes at him.

"Let me take her to my family home. I'll show her all the benefits of her new life. I'll show her that her life is not over, but just beginning. My brother and I can help her control her urges. To hone in on her new found strength." Thor said, turning to look at Jane. His British accent spilling from his lips effortlessly. Jane looked over to Arya who seemed extremely annoyed.

"Okay." Jane said and Arya huffed.

"You can't just drag me off. I don't even know you." Arya said shutting her eyes and trying to control the urge to not rip out the throats of every human in the room. She felt the couch move next to her and she cracked an eye open. Thor sat next to her with a wide smile on his face.

"Yes?" Arya asked and Thor smiled even wider. "Okay, what?" She asked getting frustrated again.

"Give me three days. And if your still upset with me and hate yourself I will leave you alone to your own devices." He said and Arya contemplated his words.

Could she trust him? For some reason she felt like she could. Was it because he said he was a vampire like her? He didn't look like a vampire. Well, not like any vampire she had ever come across before. He had a kind face and a childlike kindness to him that brought her a sense of comfort. For a moment, a fleeting moment, a split second; Arya thought that maybe she could live on. But only for a moment.

"Deal." Arya said and held out her hand to shake his. He grasped her hand in his and shook it once. The handshake was firm and yet his hands were soft. Arya's eyes looked into his once more. Maybe he was the answer to her turmoil.
