Prologue
Okay, let's try this one last time. My name is Ruby Rose. I was bitten by a radioactive spider and for technically two years, I've been the one and only Scarlet Spider! Sure I started out as an amateur in a sloppy costume but everything changed when I was one day recruited for mission by my idol: Ms. Weiss Schnee, the White Knight, who essentially acted as my guide toward being a true hero, and even provided me my current super suits. Then I we teamed up with a bunch of other superheroes in a battle against this alien chick named Salem... twice. The first time, we all lost and she accomplished her goal to eliminate half of all life in the universe... which ended up including me, embarrassing as it is to admit. Things stayed like this for five years before any remaining heroes finally managed to undo what she did and we all had an all out war against her forces, to which we won, but at the cost of Ms. Schnee's life. And as for me, when everyone came back from their... disappearance, they hadn't age a bit from when we disappeared, so I was still legally obligated to continue where I left off in school. Luckily I wasn't alone in this, as some friends of mine we're still there with me. My best friend Oscar Pine. My former bully turned kinda friend Cardin Winchester. And my crush Velvet Scarlatina. During the summer, our class took a tour of Anima where I had my encounters with a one Neo Politan, a former Schnee Dust Company employee with a grudge against Ms. Schnee for the change in purpose for her special hologram tech. So she stole some armed Schnee drones with this tech to falsify her identity as a hero from another universe called Mysteria, and tricked me into handing over some techno glasses Ms. Schnee passed down to me for full control over the drones. Our final battle occured among the mountain tops of the capital city of Mistral. Unfortunately, Neo lost life trying to kill me with an onslaught of gunfire. In the end, I managed to save Mistral and even got to confess my feelings to Velvet... after she told me that she knew I'm the Scarlet Spider. But I guess it's fine, because now I don't have to hide anymore from the people I actually want to know. With that, I finally felt like that my life was perfect... until that fateful day when my whole life was turned upside down. And it all started about a week after our battle in Mistral...
