Anger.
Blue was frozen. Her eyes started up and down at the gem in front of her. “Blue..?” It was only then when Blue finally reacted. A smile glued on her face as if she won the super bowl and the lottery in one day. Tears escaping from her eyes, she scooped Pink up into her hands and looked at her with joy and relief. “Oh, Pink.. I would have never thought I'd see the day of your return. And your form.. oh , its gorgeous.” Pin– well, Rose smiled back at blue shedding a singular tear. Blue was always the one diamond that truly had a heart. She was the one diamond that Rose actually.. liked. Yellow and White were always such killjoys.. it felt like Blue was the only one who truly cared.
“Blue.. what era is it?” “Era 2.. you've been gone for so long.. We thought you've been shattered..” Rose stared at Blue for a full minute. Era 2. That means she wasn't actually in a dream. “Pink.. I’m so sorry we were so cruel and heartless towards you. You were right to leave.. we.. we made you miserable, didn't we?” Rose was caught off guard by Blues sudden apology. While it was true.. she never thought Blue would actually admit that. A small part of her actually hoped that Era 2 is different, and that the diamonds actually care about each other and the lower ranked gems.
“Blue.. I.. I appreciate the apology. I'm.. just not sure if im willing to forgive you yet.” Blue frowned at Roses response, with a sigh she put Rose down. “I’m afraid I can't even be mad at that. We caused you so much pain.. and suffering..” Blue closed her eyes tightly, a tear escaping prior. “..I just want you to know, I understand why you left us. You were so much happier without me, without us.. Without homeworld.” She opened her eyes to stare at the ceiling for a moment before turning her attention down to the smaller diamond. “You were happier on Earth.” Rose looked away, rubbing her forearm before shaking her head. “I.. I felt so bad when I was here. I didn't feel like a diamond. All three of you.. treated me so.. bad.” She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.
“Although, I can't say I've been a saint. All those tantrums.. I've hurt people. I've hurt myself in a way. And even.. And Pearlie...” She recalled the past situation with her first Pearl, she threw a tantrum after a failed attempt at begging for a colony. A scream that pierced the ears of the elder diamonds, Pearlie unfortunately just had to be standing too close.. and then it happened. A crack replaced what was once her eye. And then, Pink was off to the prison tower for an eon. “I know I've caused.. a lot of problems with my ‘shattering’, have I?” Blue looked down towards Rose, looking away momentarily before letting out a sigh. “Things have been...rough. Our gems have become weak due to a loss of resources, White has been.. well, white. Yellow has been slightly more fixtated on the Crystal Gems until now–” “The Crystal Gems? What about them?”
“Well.. theres that ‘Steven’.” Roses eyes widened at the name. Steven.
‘Steven if a boy, Nora if a girl.’
She remembered, her hand going towards her mouth as a tear ran down her cheeks. She wasn't supposed to be here. Rose would have had to given up her life for Stevens existence.. so why was she even here? And how did the diamonds know of his existence? “..How do you know who he is, Blue?” Her tone changed. Blue was slightly taken aback by the sudden change of tone. “Well, we pursued him for awhile.. We all thought he was you–” “You thought he was me? He looks nothing like me except for a few similarities! He only has my gem. And if thats how you thought he was me..” Anger was starting to bubble up inside of her. Blue looked away, knowing that she was also at fault for this. She was so fixated on getting justice for Pink-.. Stars, she messed up.
“We.. we thought you had just taken a new form.” Rose stared at blue. The audacity of them, all Rose wanted was for Steven to have a normal life. A normal life free from Homeworld. “What did you do to him?” her hand went to her stomach, clutching it. Her gemstone. Steven couldn't exist without it, it was half of him. “Well.. we sent gems after him, we captured him twice and trialed him, threw him in your human zoo.. and White tried to take his gem out. Although she ended up cracking it, which is wh–” “What!?” A familiar, ear piercing scream came from Rose. She backed away from Blue, going off her hands and onto the ground as she looked up at her fellow diamond with anger and betrayal.
All Rose wanted to do in this moment was to shatter White. She was equally mad at Blue and Yellow for their obvious factors in this. But White- She would have never thought that White would snoop that low. “Blue, where is he?” “We don't know.. White seperated us after the incident.” Rose through her hande up in defeat. She started pacing back and forth, trying to get herself together before she lost control snd threw a tantrum. She needed to have patience and self control, but at this moment.. she just didn't. Rose wanted to see White suffer. She snarled, staring at the ground in disbelief of what Blue said. “Pink..?” Blue reached out a hand to touch her beforr Rose swatted her habd away. “Don’t. Just leave me alone.”
Rose exited Blues chambers, locating her Palace and retreating to there. Everything had still been the same as she left it. Most of it, anyways. She paced around her room, figuring out a way to get to Steven. Rose was unsure if Steven had found his way down to Earth yet or if he was still somewhere on Homeworld. Rage consumed her. Looking out her window to Whites ship, which had already moved itself back to its usual location. Blue and Yellows ships were connected to the ship still and her leg ship was gone. Rose let out a scream of fury, slamming her fist against a pillar in her room. The pebbles were startled, looking out to see Pink Dia- Rose.
Rose stared at the ground, her sudden rage burned down into uncertainty and sadness. Tears rushed out of her eyesockets. “None of this was supposed to happen..” She slammed her fist against the floor. She had no idea how to get to Earth, how to check if Steven was okay – and his gem. Steven would have been half human, theres no way of predicting what would happen now that he has a cracked gem. If he would still even be okay. Rose clutched her gem.
