Background Conflict
Rogue, Logan, and Jess move around a lot to stay safe, and they live off the grid. They live in New York when Jess is fourteen years old under the names Arthur, Angela, and Peter Petrelli.
Jess is homeschooled by Rogue and given survival and tracking lessons from Logan. He is also taught to be cautious about his abilities and to be discreet about what he can do, as well as to be wary of people.
One day, Striker finds a clue to where Logan is. He sends someone to look into it. That person encounters Jess, who has something of Logan's, in a bookstore and decides to befriend him to try to find Logan.
Striker manages to capture Logan and Rogue, who he separates, but Jess escapes due Rogue's interference.
Logan gets amnesia due to the experiments.
Rogue is drugged used for Striker's agenda, however she subtly works to undermine Striker and protect her family.
Jess vows to save his family and take down Striker.
