Part 2
"I hope to see you again soon," said Bradford. "We could use someone like you in our organisation."
"I'll definitely have a consideration on that, thank you." Lena replied. "Thank you for your cooperation."
"Pleasure having business with you, Lena."
oOo
"Sorry guys, I have a terrible belly-"
"It's alright Lena, at least you are fine now." Huey said, trying to calm Lena down.
"Feels like I've been there for hours." Lena said.
"What do you mean? It's only been like 15 minutes." Webby replied.
"I just feel like it, Webby." Lena said. "Well, what can we do now that I'm back?"
"I know! Let's play more arcade games!" Dewey exclaimed, clearly still excited to play more.
The triplet, Lena and Webby proceeded to play arcade games per Dewey's recommendation. However, Louie was uninterested in playing anything as he raised even more suspicions toward Lena. He felt like something was very, very wrong…
oOo
"So Webby was actually a clone, you say?" Magica asked.
"I'm pretty certain. Bradford even gave me the database of April, which is her birth name before Beakley took her away from F.O.W.L." Lena replied.
"And they pretty much have May and June as their identical clones to this girl?"
"Yes, that's what he said." Lena had a smile on her face. A very mischievous one.
"Tell me, what's your next move? It looks like you have a plan set up." Magica was very happy. Her own creation had been extraordinarily smart in recent days, and that's what she wanted for ages to exact her revenge on Clan McDuck.
"We're going to McDuck Manor and steal Scrooge's Number One Dime before the eclipse."
oOo
McDuck Manor, evening, 2 days before the Shadow War.
It was pretty dark, and Lena was trying to use the enchanted dagger she had to take down the Number One Dime from Scrooge's neck.
"Hurry up, Lena, we don't have much time after this." an annoyed Magica said, urging her niece to act quickly.
"Look, get your thing up straight, Aunt Magica." replied Lena, clearly not being happy about her aunt's attitude. "This is no ordinary person, it is Scrooge McDuck! Sometimes you have to be patient. It's always been your only weakness to beat Clan McDuck."
"Don't teach me a lesson here, you ungrateful brat! Remember who brought you to this world and who raised you!"
"Yes, Aunt Magica." Lena replied.
The door suddenly burst out, and Llewellyn Duck showed up.
"I knew it…" Louie was clearly out of breath, but still had the strength to say it.
"Come with me. You'll have some explaining to do!"
"I-I can explain-" Lena replied, but got cut short by Louie himself.
"Don't say anything and don't try to do tricks on me. You'll just get in a worse condition."
Louie was determined to expose Lena once and for all. After all, he's a master of con and mischief, and he knew when he saw one that would affect the family badly.
However, his overconfidence would soon backfire.
oOo
"What were you doing at Uncle Scrooge's bedroom?" Louie urged. "And don't even think about lying to me here, Lena."
"I-uh-I... was just looking at his Number One Dime?"
Lena's reply clearly did not fool Louie, as he would soon continue his interrogation.
"Let me think... you have a dagger, you came to Scrooge's bedroom, and you want to ONLY look at his precious Number One Dime?" Louie exclaimed. "Oh, you're committing more than just a con here, girl, you're committing a mischief. You're not getting away this time."
Louie left the room, leaving Lena all alone. A bad move, very bad move.
"How did you let Scrooge's nephew know about what you're doing?" Magica was now unimpressed at Lena's handling on this mission to grab the Number One Dime.
"This wasn't my plan, I have to say, but you have to understand that I need to think of a plan to get the hell out of here!" Lena replied. She was getting angry at her current state, and continued. "While Louie is gone I'll have to think of another back-up plan."
"I checked the surroundings and it looks like the other two and your little friend Webbigail is sleeping too." Magica inspected. "If you're going to act do it quick or the whole household will hear you and we're be dead meat before we know it!"
"Got it."
Lena was going to attack something on Louie that would made all his confidence go away.
His own mental health state.
oOo
Louie returned, holding his Pep, and began to speak.
"So, Lena, anything you wanted to tell me before-"
That was the last time in the conversation he spoke.
Lena choked Louie using her amulet, and charmed the whole room so that everything stayed silent.
Louie opened his eyes. He fell, and fell, and fell, and fell, until he reached the bottom. It was pitch black.
His overconfidence were gone. He started to get nervous.
He walked through the dark area, until he saw... himself.
Him as a cat, being lazy, and lazier, and lazier, and lazier.
Louie was fascinated by this, but soon he realised something was terribly wrong. He turned around, searching all the other corners he hadn't check on. He quickly figured out where he was.
This is his own mindscape.
"Hey there, Louie." came a voice behind him.
"Woah- wh-who are you?" a terrified Louie asked.
"I am your darkest fear, lying inside your head!" Magica was having a good time executing Lena's plan. Really was something she couldn't even think it would come from her own niece. "You touched on the magic territory, and now you must be punished!"
"WAIT! PLEASE, FORGIVE ME, I'LL GIVE YOU MONEY, I'LL GIVE YOU ANYTHING!" Louie was traumatised and horrified at what he just witnessed. A shadow in his own mind! What's happening to him?
"You're just nothing more than Scrooge's future if he doesn't have a family to back him up." Magica sniggered. "I believed your interrogation with a magical figure has gone too far. You're going to be punished!"
Louie was pushed into countless nightmares. His brothers died, no one to save them. Uncle Scrooge was killed, no one to save him. The McDuck household was torn apart, no one to save it. Webby was pushed away, no one to save her.
"Please- I beg you. Just stop-" begged Louie.
"Oh, and I believed I do not care." Magica added with a smirk.
The worst dream of all: his encounter of the Money Shark. This time it's worse. The Money Shark slowly turned everyone it consumed into gold. A devastated Louie couldn't do anything, and seeing Webby slowly succumbed inside the shark was the last straw.
"JUST. STOP. I. BEG. YOU. TO. END. THIS."
Magica said nothing but snapped her fingers.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-"
"Louie! Wake up!" said Huey. He was clearly worried.
"Huh?"
"You were having a nightmare, judging from all the screams and sweat you produced." Huey explained. "Look at your bed sheets, they're all wet!"
Louie turned, and indeed the bed sheet was wet. He did nothing more but hugged Huey.
"Thank god it was just a dream-" said Louie, but he was unable to finish his sentence as he began to cry, stared at Huey and just continued hugging him.
"It's alright Louie, it's alright." Huey comforted his brother.
"That was evil! You did that boy the worst way someone can imagine of. You truly are my niece, Lena!" Magica exclaimed. She was very happy after Lena's daring escape from Louie and sneaking out of the Manor without anyone's detection.
"Now, I know that we didn't get the dime, but before the eclipse, around an hour, we're going back there one last time, snatch Scrooge's Number One Dime, and I shall rise again! A sweet revenge on Clan McDuck and their relative! Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
Lena said nothing but only smiled. Little did Magica know that the smile would lead to her own last laugh.
A carefully structured plan that would no longer involve Magica De Spell.
