Dinner

Max invited Paisley over to make pizza with her, just that. They had nothing else in mind after that but they could figure that out later.

"Did you tell me to come over so that you dont completely mess this up?" The blonde teases as she gets the necessary ingredients from the cabinets, placing them on the counter. They've baked together a couple of times before, she knows this kitchen well enough.

Max pouts as shes kneading the dough, some of it is still sticking to her hands, "You said that Im a good cook."

"You're a fire hazard whenever you try to make anything that isn't cake." She responds as she reaches out to flick Max's bottom lip but the brunette makes a biting motion when her hand is close enough. Paisley puts up her hands in surrender jokingly before backing away, looking around for anything else she could do.

"What do you need me to do?," the blonde asks as she rests on the counter, leaning closer to Max (who was at the other side of the counter). "Just wait a little bit, im nearly done," she spares a look at the girl, whos looking up at her, it's one of the few times that she isnt the one looking up. Her eyes shift back to the dough, "Then we can add the toppings together."

The blonde hums as she takes the glass of juice that was next to her, "I wanna make silly shapes with the pepperoni on it," she says as she takes a sip from her drink. Max's mom made it for them, Max had already chugged hers down.

"Like what?," the brunette asks as shes seemingly satisfied with the dough. She takes out a plate to place it on, spreading it so that its wide enough. She takes a piece of tissue to wipe her hands before reaching out for the drink in Paisley's hands.

"A... cat, maybe?" She hands the glass to the girl, looking at her expectantly as she takes two long sips then placing the glass back down. "Mm.. can't you think of anything better?," The brunette says through a smile, taking a fork to poke holes into the dough. The blonde stick her tongue out at her before going to check if the oven is heated.

__________

They went for a penis as their 'silly shape', they would've done the cat pizza but the ears looked fucked. Paisley also went home early, not without some pieces of the pizza ofcourse. Her mom called her apparently. Max really wish she could've stayed over, they've been passing so many nights together that it feels weird that they aren't going to tonight but she's also missed some dinners with her family so, maybe its fine.

It really wasn't fine though. Frankie kept glancing her way for god knows what reason. What are they gonna spill about her this time? She didnt even do anything. While she thinks her relationship with her mom and youngest sister isnt that bad, hers and Frankie were... something. She wouldn't say that its shitty but for some reason they love saying random things about her, especially infront of their mom.

She was staring hard into her plate of food, poking around, she was thinking about how the night would've been if Paisley stayed. Eating pizza with her in her room would've been nice.

"Did your girlfriend not stay over tonight?" Frankie asked suddenly, Max head shot up, looking at them with furrowed eyebrows.

"Girlfriend? You never told me you had a girlfriend?" Sam stops eating, her attention is fully on Max. She wouldn't mind her having a new lover but she didn't even tell her!

"I.. who are you talking about?" Max asked Frankie, her voice small. She doesnt know why she's even feeling weird about this. She isnt seeing anyone. "You know that blonde girl," They say as they take a bite of their food.

Sam eyes move to whoever is talking.

Max's mouth hang open for a bit, trying to think of what to say. What is she doing?? Just say you aren't dating her, Max. "Me and her aren't dating... i don't know where you got that from." She tries to eat her food, to swallow her nerves as well. She shouldn't be anxious about this? There truly isn't anything going on between her and Paisley.

Something seem to finally click into Sam's head. "You're dating Paisley?" She finally asks, confusion clear on her face.

"No mom! I just said that." Her face turned slightly red from the conversation, she doesnt know if its out of frustration or embarassment.

"You aren't?...but she gave you kisses and bought you chocolate.." All three of them stares at Duke, Max specifically stares at her with wide eyes. The redness spreads to Max's ears. Paisley only gave her a kiss on her forehead, it was to help her get better while she was sick! And shes the one who paid for that chocolate.

Frankie cackles at the shocked face and lack of response from Max, they actually didnt mean to torment her this time. Was just a bit curious but its still pretty funny.

What the fuck is Max supposed to say to that?? "She...Fuck!," she bites her lip, even if she explain herself they wont believe her, "Just. Ask her when she's here next time. Actually no don't, dont do that," She says it quite quickly, it almost sound like gibberish. But her mom still catches onto it, "I'll ask her, and talk to her a bit."

That fucking talk scared away the last guy that she dated... and apparently gave him a boner. Gross. She grimaces at the mention of 'her talk'

"Mom! We aren't dating, i already told you that...," She whines ,"And what if you scare her away then what?" She'd die if she wouldn't be able to hang out with Paisley anymore. What would she do then?

"It won't, you girls have been glued together since forever." Sam smiles at her reassuringly as she pats her back.
