Chapter 2: Moving Day.

“Got everything?” Said Flash to Peter.

“Yup all loaded in the truck.” He replied back.

“Nice, hop in.” Flash got in a moving truck that contained his and Peter's things.

“How much was this truck? I mean the place we’re going isn’t far, I could’ve just used my aunt's car.” Said Peter.

“Don’t worry about it dude, besides using a moving truck feels cool. And I’ve always wanted to drive one of these.” Said Flash.

“Whatevs.” Replied Peter. Peter sat in the passenger side looking out the window. Suddenly a van going over the speed limit zoomed past them. And then 3 or 4 black cars pass by next. He searched through his bag and pulled out his mask. “I will be right back. I’ll meet you guys at the new apartment in about 10 minutes.”

“You sure you know where it is?” Asked Flash as Peter was taking off his sweater to reveal bright red spandex with the iconic spider symbol in it. He got out the window in his suit and looked back at Flash.

“Totally dude, but just in case text me the address.”

“Wait!”

“Ya?”

“Be careful.”

He nodded and then he swung out the car window.

He followed the men In the van and the car behind it. It looked like the small black cars were chasing the white van. He swung and landed on the white van and looked at the driver and passenger and noticed that they were wearing tracksuits.

“spider cop, nice to meet ya. Do you know you were going past the speed limit, I’m gonna need you to pull over.” Just then the man pulled out a gun and shot at spidey. But his spider sense warned him and he dodged right on time. “Well now you definitely have to pull over, here let me help you!” And he grabbed the steering wheel and took a sharp right turn onto the street over. He then grabbed the passenger with webbing before the guy could shoot him again with his gun, and threw him out and webbed him on a street light. leaving him as the car goes on. Then he pushes the driver over and gets in the car.

“Hey!” says the driver. And tries to shoot him again as spidey is now driving the van. He dodges the bullet thanks to spidey sense.

“Nuh uh, no shooting while spidey’s driving.” He grabs the gun out of the guy's hand and throws it out the window.

“Hey!” Then he punches the guy in the face knocking him unconscious.

“You like that word don’t you?” said Spidey as he webs him out of the car like the other guy. “Now that that's over lets see why these guys were being chased, but first to reel them away from citizens.” He drove the van into an empty alleyway behind buildings away from people. He quickly drove in there and got out of the van to meet the 3 black cars. And what he sees surprises him. It was more guys with the demon masks.

“Woah! More of you! You should leave before you end up like the other demon masked guys from the robbery.” Spidey said in the most non threatening way, but the demon masked men didn't take it as non threatening. Then one of them says something in Mandarin.

(A/N I hope this is translated correctly, I cannot speak this language I just used Google Translate.)

“杀了他。” (Kill him.) says one of the men in demon masks. Then the other men in cars get out. Spidey counts about 12.

He looks at the camera and says “What did he say?” The men came closer with katanas in their hands, guns, and even nunchucks. These weapons were glowing and almost looked electrified. “You guys aren’t like the robbery guys are you?” Spider-man says quietly.

“We are the Inner Demons! And we do not have time for morons in silly costumes!” Says one of the men with a strong Mandarin accent

“Oh. You guys are the real deal. Let's talk about this. Also what are you talking about silly costumes? Look at yourselves, It's not exactly formal wear. Well I get the suits, but come on! What's with the demon mask?” Spider-man says But then realized. “OH! The inner demons I get it now-”

“Do you ever shut up?!” Says one man. Then all 12 of them attack from all sides. Spider-man dodges the katanas easily. One man strikes and Spider-man ducks. Then another from behind tries to strike him from the legs and Spider-man does a backflip and kicks the guy in the face. Knocking him unconscious. One down.

He then jumps up in the air and webs two guys before they could attack him. Then grabs another guy's nunchucks before he could hit him and surprises the guy. He flips the guy over webbing him to the ground and webbing the first two guys to the wall fully. Four down.

The remaining Demons get angry and start shooting spiderman. He jumps and twists to dodge the bullets. They stop to reload. “Woah way to dodge a bullet spidey! Literally.” Spider-man says to himself. Then he webs two guns before they shoot causing the blast to knock the guys back. Then they receive two kicks in the stomach from spidey and a final uppercut blow at the same time, leaving them unconscious on the ground. Six down.

He runs up the wall flipping and kicking two guys in the face. Eight down. Two more guys run at him with the glowing katanas, missing a few times. Then they finally get a blow by knocking Spidey to the ground, cutting him in his arm and legs. He grunts in frustration and grabs one guy's katana, swinging it around while throwing it at him, knocking him out. Then he webs a nearby manhole cover spinning that around and knocking out another guy. Ten down. The remaining two guys were bigger than the others and one had large fists glowing white electricity, and the other had two large katanas glowing white electricity like the fists.

“You should really back down. I mean look at all your buddies.” Just then they charged at him. “OK! I guess not!” Spider-man dodging the blows. Fisty (Guy with glowing fists) decides to hit him in the head but Spider-man dodges it. Fisty hits the wall behind him insead, but turns around and catches Spider-man off guard. He gets hit hard into the opposite wall. He gets up with a groan, but gets hit back down by Fisty getting an electric shock. He bites back a scream. Fisty then lifts him up and throws him into the wall, twice. Thus causing the brick wall to cave in. Forcing the fight into an abandoned building. Spider-man listens to his Spidey sense and actually blocks fisty’s next blow. “Your- pretty good! I'm not gonna lie.” He says in between breaths.

Next is Katana (the guy with the glowing katanas). He moves in front of fisty. “轮到我了。” (My turn) says katana.

“Is talking about it still an option?” asked Spider-man while in front of katana and fisty.

LINE BREAK

“Not the toughest guys I’ve fought, but you're definitely up there.” Said Spider-man to katana and fisty who were webbed up. Their masks were scratched up, almost destroyed, and their suits not any better. But Spider-man wasn't any luckier. His suit was torn where the katanas got him, and torn because of him being thrown into and breaking a brick wall. His hair sticking out where his mask was torn. And parts of his suit was black from being electrocuted by fisty and katana.

As spiderman walks through the hole created earlier by fisty, Katana speaks. “还没结束！我们的老板会发现这件事，你会死的!” (It’s not over yet! Our boss will find out about this and you will die!) Spider-man ignores him and walks to the white van that the Demons were chasing, to find out why they were chasing these tracksuit guys in the first place. But first he webs up all the guys together for the cops like he usually does.

He walks to the van and opens the doors in the back. It was dark in the van so Spider-man activated his light on his chest. He sees a single giant case in the very back. He goes toward it.

“Darn, there's a code. Let's think, what would these tracksuit guys put as a code.” After some thinking he finally decides to guess. “Ok, this is a wild guess but it might work.” He types in TRACKSUIT and the case opens. “These guys really need to think of better passwords.” Says Spider-man with a chuckle as the big case opens. In the giant case was a smaller case in a foam slot. He picks it up hoping that it doesn't need another passcode like the other case. Happy that it doesn't need a passcode spiderman opens it up.

In the case are 3 vials filled with a red substance. He pics one up and it says “Devil's Breath.”

“What is this?” He sets the case down and puts the vial to the light on his chest. It shines and glows crimson red. Spider-Man was curious as to why these men had this and what was in it. The scientist in him told him to take one. But this thought was chased away when he suddenly heard police sirens. He still wanted a sample. So using his tech “borrowed” from shield (He never really gave it back upon leaving.) he used a small Vile and filled it with a sample of the “Devil's Breath”. He quickly stored it in his advanced web shooters. He closed the case and walked out of the van.

“Hello officers.” Spidey says as he gets out the van to meet several police officers.

“Spider-Man. We got reports of a car chase down Jackson Ave. we came as soon as we could, but I see you already took care of it.” A female officer told Spider-Man.

“Yeah, it wasn't easy. Anyways I should be on my way. Oh, here. This is what the chase was about. At least that’s my guess.” He tossed the case to one of the police officers.

“Thanks Spidey, could always count on you.” The officers notice the banged up spider. “You ok Spidey? Do you need medical?”

“Nah, I’ll be alright. Super healing and all.” He shot a web on one of the buildings. “Chow” he two finger salute to the officers and webbed away.

“What a cool guy.” Says one of the officers.

“Sure,” Says another officer.

Peter realizes that the car chase took more than 10 minutes. It took about 2 hours! He hurried up and swung to the new apartment. Finding a window, he goes through it. Almost falling over in the process. He looked around and didn’t see Harry or Flash. He limped over to the couch that Harry had insisted he bring, falling on it. He was exhausted, his whole body hurt. He passed out due to that exhaustion, and he was still in his suit.

LINE BREAK

Harry and Flash had gone out to get pizza, while waiting for Peter to show up.

“Seriously!? One of the students actually stuck post-it notes all over your desk?!” Asked Harry to Flash

“Yup! It was not a good day.” Replied Flash. They continue to walk down the street almost getting to the apartment. Flash and Harry each holding one pizza.

“Does Ben still work there with you?” Asked Harry.

“Yeah. He is a great teacher, and is one of the favorites. I even heard that he was the one that came up with the idea to do the post-it note prank in the first place!” Said flash with a giggle.

“No way! That’s kinda funny. Never knew the guy had a sense of humor.” Replied Harry.

“Ya, anyways I’ve been coming up with a prank of my own.” Said Flash.

“what is it?”

“It still needs some tweaks, but I plan to fill his entire office with water. Ya know…because he hates water?” Said Flash.

“Uh, I don’t think that’s possible.” Said Harry.

“It is! I could just get Hydro-Man and put him in there and-and pay him to turn all watery. Or if that doesn’t work, I get buckets of water and-“

“Ok dude. I think it definitely needs some tweaks.” Interrupted Harry as he put a hand on Flash’s shoulder.

“Ya, I guess so. We should ask Pete what he thinks! I’m sure he’ll come up with a better plan than me. He’s good at those.” Said Flash.

“*psh. If he’s even there.” Said Harry in annoyance.

They walk into the building, and get into the elevator. They finally make it to their room. Harry gets the key and opens the door. They walk in and don’t notice the passed out spider on the couch.

“See he’s not here, like I said.” Said Harry.

It wasn’t until Flash flicked on the light that they noticed.

“Dude, I hate to break it to ya but petes right there.” Said Flash as he pointed to the couch surrounded by boxes.

“Oh.” Harry walks over to Peter. “Dude? You awake?” He waved a hand over Peter's face.

“We brought pizza~” said Flash. “Why isn’t he waking up? I definitely thought the pizza thing would work.” Flash walks over to Peter, pulling his hand back going straight towards Peter's face. But just as it was about to hit him, Peter caught Flash's arm mid air jolting awake.

“Whas-go’n on?” Slurred Peter as he woke up. He was met with two faces in his face looking at him with curiosity and a little bit of concern. “Oh…Heyyyy guys.” He says as he lets go of Flash arm.

“So cool.” Said Flash as he looked at his arm, amazed at how quickly Peter caught that.

“What are you doing passed out on the couch, in your suit?” Said Harry as he put his hands on his hips.

“I….uh…caught a car-cars? Er…a van?” Explained Peter as he tried sitting up from the couch. “There were um…guys. He was wearing a tracksuit. And-and then more guys with demon faces.. two of them were huge. And I think-I think- I got throw-thrown into a lot…several! Walls.” Finished Peter as he put a hand on his head.

“Um…I think he has a concussion.” Said Flash to Harry.

“Ya no sh-“

“M strv’n.” Said Peter Quietly. He fell back down on the couch. “Did you guys..buy-get..uh..food?”

“Ya! We bought hella pizza, mostly because I know how hungry we usually are after patrols, so I thought you might be really hungry.” Said Flash as he helps Peter up.

“Thanks.” Said Peter with a smile under the mask. He grabbed a slice and took off his mask to eat. He took a bite of a pizza and basically gobbled it down. And grabbed another one. The guys just watched him. With confused and concerned faces.

“not trying to be mean but your face looks terrible.” Said Harry.

“I know.” Said Peter as he was on his third pizza. “Aren’t you guys gonna eat?” Said Peter with a full mouth.

“Uh…oh ya.” Said Flash as he grabbed two slices. They enjoyed getting pizza, especially since it was so close and so cheap.

“Ok I’m done, gonna go to-uh bed!” Said Peter as he struggled to get up from the couch. It was really sad to watch. He limped toward the rooms. “Which room is mine?” Said Peter through breaths.

“We were hoping to decide together.” Said Harry.

“Oh. Well. I guess I’ll just. Sleep here.” And Peter collapsed on the floor.

LINE BREAK

Flash and Harry put a blanket over Peter's limp form after carrying him back to the couch. They also cover him with ice packs.

“He really needs our help out there, or else he's just gonna keep coming back with more and more bruises.” Says Harry. “Maybe even worse.”

“He said he doesn’t need help.” Replied Flash.

“I know but we have to help him. He's our friend.” Said Harry back.

“We’ll figure something out.” Flash said as he got up and out blankets on the ground.

“What are you doing?” Asked Harry.

“Sleeping out here, we haven’t decided on rooms yet. We should at least wait until Peter can actually decide.” Said flash as he laid down on the floor next to Peter on the couch.

“Right.” Said Harry as he went to get his blankets and pillows. Throwing one at flash.

“First night as roomies. Not how I expected it.” Flash said aloud.

“Tell me about it.” Replied Harry.
