Chapter 25
As you walked through the city towards the castle you couldn't help but look around and watch as everyone was watching you guys. Loki held his head tall with a small smile on his face and Thor looked thrilled to be home. You held onto Lokis arm which only caused Loki to smile brighter. You were so nervous to meet Odin and his wife but you were ready to learn all you could about Asgard. Having Loki by your side brought a sense of peace to you, Knowing he was there and knowing he would protect you. However you felt something was off with Loki. You couldn't really pin point it but you could just sense something was off with him. Loki felt your uneasiness.
"Relax my mother will adore you love." Loki smiled as he walked
"How can you be so sure Loki? I mean.. I am basically just a lab experiment gone wrong" You felt such a strong wave of insecurity you couldn't stop the words from coming out of your mouth.
"Don't ever speak of yourself in such a way. You are amazing and Not a mistake in any way y/n" Loki looked down at you and smiled softly. You felt a blush spread and smiled to Loki
"Thank you." looking towards the ground as you walked trying your hardest to hide your blush.
Soon you reached a set of golden doors as you felt your heart begin to race. Thor stepped to the other side of you and Loki remained holding on to you as you forced yourself to appear more relaxed then what you felt.
"You know y/n, For a Midgardian you are really short.." Glancing down at you Thor really never noticed your height difference to you, let alone your height difference to you and Loki.
"Thor.. Shut up." elbowing Thor you let out a sigh "Lets do this." A guard opened the doors and you walked in with Loki. The smell of dragons blood and frankincense filled your nose. You wiggled your nose
"It's only in this room love. Father likes it." Loki spoke in a hushed tone only you could really hear. You glanced up and saw a man sitting in a golden throne his hair a beautiful shade of silver, His left eye covered by a patch and an apparently permanently smirk on his face as he watched you. To his right stood a beautiful woman with long dark blonde hair. She had the biggest smile on her face when she saw you holding on to Loki Her dress was a soft green which to you told you she held a soft spot for Loki her youngest.
"My sons welcome home." Frigga opened her arms as she approached her boys. Loki let go of you only momentarily to hug his mother close and Thor embraced both of them. "It's so good to see you two, And I am happy to meet you as well Y/n" She turned to you and smiled brightly
"You know my name?" You couldn't help but sound confused but she simple smiled and nodded and pulled you in for a gentle embrace
"Anyone who brings a smile onto my sweet Lokis face deserves the world. Thank you for helping my son come back." She whispered into your ear before letting go. Odin cleared his throat
"Welcome back boys. Loki I assume you've learned to care for the midgardians?" Thor patted his brother on the back as Loki took your hand into his hand.
"Not all father I'm sorry to say. But this one yes. Also I've become close to the other Avengers that are left at the tower.
"Son the girl doesn't count. She's not truly midgardian. Are you blind?" Odin let out a chuckle as he looked over to Frigga who simply smiled at odin then glanced back at Loki and you.
"What do you mean? Of course she is. You know not of her origin."
"Ah but I do." He stood and approached you causing you to tighten onto Lokis grasp. "Let me see your hand y/n" He extended his hand to you. You looked at Loki who nodded slightly as he let go of your hand. Slowly you placed your hand into Odin's. Suddenly you felt a surge of power go from your hand and down your arm. Glancing down you see purple with traces of gold filling your veins. You looked at Odin who simply smiled at you. After all the stories you never thought you'd see Odin smile. "You see y/n You do have some midgardian blood in you but look at the gold. You also hold Royal Asgardian blood in your veins."
"Wait... does that mean we are related?"
"Ha! no, no. Odinsons come from one branch of the royal line. I am King you see but seeing this purple and gold you come from Sigyn's family blood." Lokis eyes widened as frigga placed her hand on his shoulder. " Her family split up over 1000 years ago due to her aunt falling for a midgardian. Her mothers Aunt went to Midgard while her mother stayed here. Sigyn's aunt asked me to turn her human to spend a human life with the man she fell in love with. She was a fantastic woman who actually helped Frigga give brith to Thor. It was hard for us all but she wanted to be happy. She lived a long life and had many children with that man. One of her children is your ancestor " You looked shocked. You felt alittle dizzy from the information but simply nodded. "Because she was born here, raised here and is indeed Asgardian, She passed her power and her asgardian blood onto her children. You are the last of her family. So partially your ability's are your bloods way to save your family bloodline and naturally.." He glanced at Loki then back to you "You feel attracted to asgardian power. However I am surprised you went for Loki instead of Thor."
"Uh.." You glance at Thor then start laughing "I apologize, But Thor is only a friend. More like a brother than anything really. I have never been attracted to Thor." Odin's smile faltered for a moment then returned "To each their own However now you know. No longer call your self a simple midgardian. You belong here." Pulling your hand out of his you saw your power and his mix in the air as your hands moved away from each other. Loki Pulled you close to him.
"Father if she is asgardian and midgardian... does she have the asgardian life expectancy " Loki couldn't help but be worried you could tell but the question did make you slightly uncomfortable.
"Since her powers were activated, yes. Because her powers are activated she is actually more Asgardian than midgardian anymore. Unfortunately she will always have the weaknesses of midgardians and won't heal as fast as Thor or even you."
"I.. I need to lay down. This is a lot.." You felt very dizzy and just lost at everything you heard. Thor looked concerned and went to take a step towards you.
"But of course my dear.." Frigga took your hand from Loki who took your other hand. "Loki darling I am taking her to your room. I have a feeling that's where she will feel safest." She winked at Loki who you could have sworn blushed a moment as he simply nodded to his mother. He took your chin and placed a kiss onto your forehead.
"I'll be in there momentarily to check on you my love." You smiled at Loki as you felt butterflies and nodded
"Okay Loki. Please hurry." Frigga walked you out of the Throne room and began down the hall. As the doors were closing behind you, you heard Odin speak to his boys
"I can't wait to see her at her full power. She may be matched with you Thor or perhaps even stronger."

"I am sorry Y/n that my husband threw all of that on you upon first meeting you." Frigga spoke gently as you two walked.
"It's okay. Really. I guess I always knew I wasn't normal even as a child.."
"Well for him to speak about Sigyn and her family was not expected. I thought he would have done that away from Loki. I truly hope that doesn't make you stand offish with him."
"No not at all.. I saw how she died.. I saw how they were together. I find it interesting that she's like a great aunt or something to me."
"Oh my dear it's so much more than that." You looked at her confused and she simply smiled at you "You are not her. But you carry her power mixed with a very rare and ancient power. Odin knows that power could easily challenge him so don't be surprised if Odin goes out of his way to... win your favor in a sense. Your blood line is destined to rule Asgard once Odin's bloodline ends."
"Rule? I don't want to rule."
"You likely won't ever. Thor and you will live nearly the same amount of time now. However you and Lokis children..."
"Whoa whoa." You stopped walking "Im sorry but I have no desire for children any time soon and Loki and I aren't together."
"Oh well I can see my son cares for you. So naturally I figured he was courting you." Frigga couldn't help but smile are you
"Well... I have feelings for him. He's an amazing person. Caring.. protective.. charming.. but he can also be a total jerk" you felt your heart racing speaking about Loki. Over the past week you've really come to realize he was one of a kind. Yeah Stephen and Tony checked in on you and just earlier Stephen was upset you two weren't really spending time. However Loki was just always so attentive and it just seemed like he understood things the others didn't.
"You've helped him a lot. He went down a very dark road a couple years ago and even I feared I lost him for good once he lost Sigyn. It is just good to have him back." You continued walking as thoughts filled your mind.
"You all do realize I'm not Sigyn don't you?" you spoke before your thoughts could filter themselves but you just had to let at least her know.
"I am well aware of that and so is Loki my dear. You look extremely similar to her however you are you. However you two do have the same fire." Winking at you she opened a door that the two of you stopped at. You looked at Lokis mother with a kindness. She truly loved Loki and it melted your heart. However you couldn't help but feel your heart break alittle bit inside knowing you didn't have that and you likely never would. How you craved the affection of family. How you craved to feel the closeness. You brushed away your slight pain and walking inside the room. You let out a small gasp as you looked around and realized Lokis room was filled to the brim with books, art, and the most comfortable looking bed you've ever seen. "I hope this room will do my dear. I figured you wouldn't want to be away from Loki If you do end up wanting your own room there is one right next to his room."
"Thank You Your highness. I would prefer to be with Loki for now." you took a step towards Lokis bed
"Try to rest y/n Even I can see you're healing from something. If you need me for anything come find me. Loki or the guards can help you find me." She placed her hand on your shoulder and smiled again "And thank you for joining my boys here. It's such a pleasure to meet you." turning around she walked out of the room. Letting out a sigh you walked over to Lokis bed and laid down.
