Chapter 4
Thor held the door for you as you slowly walked into the living room area with him and saw a man sitting on the couch with a book in his hands.
"Brother good morning!" Boomed Thor walking behind you. You jumped slightly and put your head down.
"Is it really necessary to be so loud. Oh." The man looked up from his book nearly gasped. You looked exactly like someone he once shared his heart with. Back before everything went wrong in his life. He knew he was just seeing a ghost. He looked again noticed you looking skittish. "Who's this?" he continued to watch you as you and Thor walked towards the kitchen.
"This is Y/N she'll be staying with us from now on" Thor smiled and placed his hand on your shoulder. "Here sit my brother will cause you no harm." He guided you to the couch and sat you down next to him. "I will bring you some food. Loki talk to her." he looked at his brother then strolled off into the kitchen. Loki keep his eye on you as you pulled your feet onto the couch and wrapped your arms around your knees. Suddenly feeling a chill, you shivered a bit but began to smell something cooking and it smelled heavenly. Loki's eyes softened and he raised his hand causing you to flinch. You saw a small pained look flash in his eyes as he twisted his hand. suddenly you felt warmth spread around you. Glancing down you saw an emerald green blanket form on you. You grabbed onto it and wrapped yourself up.
"Thank you um"
"Call me Loki My brother says your name is Y/N?" he put his hand down and placed his book down on the table next to the couch
"Loki" A smile formed on your lips. "Yes I'm Y/N" Loki smiled slightly and tilted his head careful not to make any sudden movements. You noticed this and nodded. "Sorry I'm so jumpy. Mi not use to people being so kind" memories started coming to mind. Loki flinched at them and reached for you. he placed his hand on your thigh and sighed
"Please don't think of such horrors." your eyes shot to Loki
"How did you..."
"I can read minds and yours was very loud just then." he saw your eyes widen
"So do you have..."
"Yes, I also have powers" A huge smile broke across your face as you took Loki's hand.
"I do too! How long have you had yours?" Excitement was written all over your face. Loki lifted an eyebrow and smirked
All my life and I'm over a thousand-years-old my dear
"Oh my god I heard that!" shocked you covered your mouth.
Can you hear me if I talk like this? You Whispered into your mind. Loki smiled and leaned forward slightly.
"Every. Word" Sitting back he truly was surprised how much he was enjoying this interaction but there was something different about you. Your voice was even the same as the person from long ago. He felt very drawn. Suddenly a loud crash came from the kitchen causing you to flinch extremely hard towards Loki grabbing his leg, bringing forward some of your magic and causing a freezing sensation to spread on Loki's legs. He put his hand on yours and shushed you gently. Out popped Thor holding a plate full of grilled cheese. "Thor you oaf you frightened her" Placing the plate down Thor kneeled next to you.
"I'm sorry Y/N I was just rushing to bring this to you." Thor pointed towards the sandwiches. Looking down at yours and Loki's hands he smiled to his brother then looked back at you as you were basically drooling over the plate.
"That smells heavenly Thor" You smiled at Thor which caused him to blush slightly. Picking up the plate he handed it to you.
"Thank you, Y/N now scoot over." listening to Thor you scooted closer to Loki who didn't seem to mind one bit "Now if my brother seems mean don't let it bother you. Hes really a big softy when he lets his guard down" Thor said winking at his brother causing Loki to roll his eyes
"I don't like people Thor. Big difference. Her I like so far. Where's my food?" Loki glanced at your plate then back to Thor.
"I'm Sorry brother I only made food for her. She needs to eat look how tiny she is"
"Thats okay. Here Loki" You pick up one of the sandwich's and handed it to Loki. Shaking his head
"I'm not going to take your food. Eat" you decide to try the puppy eyes. Rolling his eyes, he reluctantly takes it from you. "Thank you, Y/N" watching you slowly take a bite and your eyes closed as soon as the flavors hit your mouth. Slowly you open your eyes and look down at your food.
I Can't remember the last time I had anything so good... it's been a few days since they let me eat. which is stupid all i did wrong was fight back when they kept stabbing me... Looking up you noticed Loki looking at you with a sad look on his face. "I forgot. Sorry" Loki rubbed your leg and shook his head softly then looked over at Thor who had a confused look on his face. Suddenly Steve rogers walks into the living room.
"I smell food and Tony said we had a new house mate. Where are they?" looking around his eyes fell on you. Quickly noticing your nervous stance, he smiled softly. "Hello there. I'm Steve. Tony told me a bit about you. My friend also endured hydra." this caught your full attention.
"Oh. Hello. I'm Y/N" glancing at Loki and Thor who apparently unaware of your past. Their expressions were a mix of shock and pain and understanding. "Yeah, hydra was my hell for ten years..." looking down at your plate you placed it down on the table suddenly unable to stomach any more food.
"I'm happy you escaped and Tony got to you before that agent. We have him in a cell and will be getting all the information we can to keep you as safe as possible" He saw your eyes widen and your face visibly go pale.
"Hes here?" Standing you started messing with your hands becoming extremely nervous.
"Yes, but he won't know your here and we will be transferring him to Sheild in the next day" Loki could see your breathing has picked up. You started to only be able to hear your pulse in your ears. Loki quickly stood up next to you
"Captain I think that information could have waited..." he went to place his hand on your shoulder but felt the energy building. Shes going to lose it. "How about Thor or I take you to your room?" looking over at Loki your eyes slightly glowing but it seemed only Loki noticed you nodded.
"As much as I want to agree with you Loki, she needs to be aware so she knows we will protect her." he took a step towards you causing you to take a small step back. "Y/N you're safe. I personally will protect you" raising his hand to his heart
"Did you get his tracker out?" you blurted out causing everyone to look at you wide eyed.
"Tracker? What are you talking about?" Steve asked taking a step towards you.
"Shit." Closing your eyes, you focus on the Agent and starts to see where he is. Opening your eyes, you can tell where he is and how far from you. Turning your head towards direction of the agent then back to Steve "They'll find this place he's literally right by us!" your hands begin to feel a tingle Loki and Thor can feel the power building up around you. Loki looks at Thor as Thor moves to right behind you and nods to Loki. Loki Places his hand slowly onto your arm
"Your emotions control your powers. You need to relax." He notices how you glance over to him. You let out a sigh.
"You guys don't understand. I have to do it for you I guess." Steve looks towards the door then back to you
"Do what?" Suddenly you take off running as fast as your feet will allow rushing through hall only with your instinct guiding you towards the danger. Thor and Steve close to your heel as you make your way towards him
"She's fast!" Thor grunted trying to catch her
"Tony said she was part super. This doesn't surprise me" Suddenly you come to a large door and throw it open and run inside "And she found the agent. Damnit Tony"
inside the room you skid to a stop seeing the agent inside the cell fear trying to take over pushing it to the side the best you can you heard a click and quickly turned around to see Loki locking the door behind you. "Be quick with whatever you're going to do. I just recently got these guys to trust me again." You smiled softly to Loki and turned back to the Agent who was standing up walking to the cell wall by you
"So you came for me. About time maybe you aren't so useless after all." feeling anger start to bubble you took a step towards the glass. Loki watched you closely
"I am sorry for the wait sir." turning towards Loki his eyes held hardly any emotion as he leaned against the door as his brother and Steve pounded on it.
"Let us in Y/N!" Steve said
"Come now Lady Y/N let us help you" Thor shouted as he was calling his weapon
"You need to hurry if my brother gets his little toy That door is done for" Loki looked towards the door then back to you. You placed your hand onto the glass and gulped
"What are you waiting for? let me out solder" Loki raised his brow at the way the agent was talking to you. He wanted to end him thinking he could talk to you that way. He could feel your fear radiate as you closed your eyes and vanished for a moment only to apper behind the agent. he turned quickly around and saw you standing there.
"My dear I can't be caught helping you." Loki took a step towards the glass.
"Thank you, Loki." Your eyes glowed a bright purple as you looked over the agents shoulder to Loki. He vanished just as the door busted open.
"Y/N leave him alone we have a way of doing things you need to trust us!" Steve yelled when he saw you in the cell with the agent. confusion was all over Thors face as he also approached.
"Lady Y/N how did you do that? how did you hold that door closed?" he placed his hammer down and approached the glass.
"I... I don't really know. but this guy is dangerous. His tracker will lead them here" The agents eyes widened.
"So your not activated. shit they really gave me a fucked-up mutant" He scuffed and grabbed your hair throwing your head back and pulling a blade out from inside his shirt sleeve. Loki came running into the room just as the agent did this.
"Let go of her!" you locked eyes with everyone then looked back at the agent.
"I am not going to let my only escape be ruined by you." you grabbed his arm causing his skin to instantly become blue then black he let out a blood chilling scream as he threw the knife into your stomach causing you to drop down out of his now frozen grasp. Everyone rushed to the cell door as Tony came rushing in to see the commotion and quickly went to the computer and threw open the door. forcing yourself to stand Thor and Loki were by your side in an instant helping you up.
"You dumb bitch I'll Kill you." the agent hissed as he held his frozen arm. You quickly raised your leg gasping in pain and threw your leg back down shattering his arm. He threw himself back screaming in pain. Your legs couldn't hold your weight and felt them give out. Loki lifted you up and carried you out of the cell as Steve closed the door behind you guys.
"What the hell was that?!" Tony huffed as he came up to you and tried taking you from Loki who refused to let you go "Take her back to the lab"
"No!" you reached for Tonys arm and winced in pain. "Please no I can explain everything. his arm. the tracker." Loki looked down at you and felt a ping in his heart. He didn't like seeing you in pain. Tony reached and took your hand avoiding Loki's death glare
"What tracker hun?" He looked concerned
"Uh Tony she just told us about the agent having a tracker I'm guessing she got spooked thinking Hydra would show up here and she took off towards this guy" Steve sighed as he stepped up next to Tony and Loki. Looking over to you, You could tell he was frustrated. "You should of just given us a moment and we would of handled it. Now your injured." Your face fell to a sad expression and you turned your face into Loki's shirt and sniffled.
"Leave her be Rogers. she did what she thought she had to." Loki tightened his grip on you only slightly. Tony let out a sigh and rubbed your hand.
"She is fast." Thor laughed while grabbing his hammer
"Loki can you please follow me to her room at least? I can patch her up there and she can rest." Tony turned to the door and opened it so Loki could walk through it with you in his arms. Nodding Loki Followed Tony out of the room with you nuzzled up to his shirt hiding your face from the world.
