Of Movies, Memories, and Mornings
As the morning light started to creep its way into the sky the big red furred alpha wolf lifted her head and let loose a yawn that was all tongue and teeth. Quite content, she turned her head to admire her pack, or at least the members who were there, her family. She was in the outer ring of the huge pack pile ,taking up residence in the dark theater room, positioned closest to the door as her pack’s first line of defense if someone were to be so foolish as to try and attack while they were resting after their long night of fun.
Natasha cocked her big wolf head and smiled at the memories of the night’s events. Y/n it turned out had actually had a valid reason in hesitating to watch Brother Bear with everyone. She honestly hadn't expected for any of them to relate to or be affected by the animated movie but low and behold it had actually made a bigger impact with her pack than she expected.
When the movie started they all had gotten into it very quickly. The animation was beautiful, the musical score was perfect and the three brothers on screen were so well written that each pack member could relate and draw parallels between the familial bond on screen with the familial pack bonds they each shared with each other.
Then when the older brother had perished on screen Wanda had whined, and snuggled her and their omega as she was reminded of her own brother that she had lost. When she had turned to look at her then, her alpha mate had streaks running down her face but her attention was glued to the movie. She wanted to see how it ended.
After that part the movie had gotten lighter again and everyone had fallen in love with the little bear on screen. He was very cute.
The movie proved to be like a pendulum with all their emotions, there were happy moments and then sad moments and then happy moments. then there was a plot twist that no one saw coming… when koda discovered Kenai had killed his mother… Everyone was speechless and watched with wrapped attention as the movie came to a close…
As the movie had ended Both Bucky and Tony had tears in their eyes
Natasha remembered when Steve and Sam had given Tony the news of what they had discovered of their mates brain washed past while they were in the process of looking for him. Natasha was the one that had been able to discover the secret hydra files herself and had advised them not to keep Tony in the dark about what Bucky had been forced to do. She was glad they chose to listen to her and told Stark about “the winter Soldier’s” role in his parents death. Tony had been crushed then but had been able to accept it and had helped in saving the brainwashed veteran. Once The metal armed alpha had been saved and had started healing and making amends, he had approached Stark with a heartfelt apology. Tony had forgiven him, knowing all too well how it felt to be directly indirectly responsible for death and destruction with how his old business partner had double dealt with his weapons industry under his watch. After that, they had become close friends and Bucky had been known to be very protective of the beta whenever he was caught in a situation without his suit. However they hadn't talked about it ever again after that… Until last night…
Tears had been shed, apologies had been made again, and hugs had been shared between them with an emotional Tony declaring “You're my brother Bucky” as he sobbed into the alpha veteran’s arms.
Ever had let the deal with their emotions in respectable silence as they waited to star the next movie when the touching moment had been interrupted with a “That is just a beautiful moment of forgiveness and love, you can just feel the healing” as Scott had finally shown up with Hope out of nowhere drawing all eyes in his direction. “ I ruined the moment didn't I “
After that happened everyone had taken a few moments to refresh their drinks, use the restrooms, and restock on their candies or food before they resituated themselves and FRIDAY played the first movie in the shuffle which had ended up being Inside Out, which also turned out to be an emotional roller coaster (pun not intended lol ). Morgan had tried valiantly to stay awake but c
Didn't make it past the first thirty minutes of the movie. And when the time came, there was not a dry eye in the theater as BingBong faded away, even Yelena was sniffling though she claimed it was allergies.
By the time the third movie of the night began to play, most of the pack had already shifted and fallen into place in the pack pile. And when it ended up being the Goonies, Peter had been excited to finally cross off that “old classic movie” off I'm his list of movies he needed to catch up on.
In the end as FRIDAY played the fourth and final movie, which ended up being The Mummy, almost all of the pack was asleep in the pile except for Natasha, Yelena, and Y/n. They were each already shifted and in their places watching the movie when sometime during the movie the omega’s voice had suddenly sounded in their heads and asked them why the actress on screen had such a striking resemblance to the picture of their mother.
Natasha looked over the sleeping bodies to lovingly gaze upon the sleeping form of her onega y/n as she remembered the look on her face as she and her sister had replied to the question she'd asked. She fondly remembered the small conversation…
Yelena and Natasha had shared a look between themselves before the older sister answered “Well that's because it is best if one of your covers is well known to the public eye. It's a lot harder to target and kill someone discreetly if their face is well known”
Y/n had been adorably stunned “ wait so… That's actually your mom? Wait! Does that mean you both have identities like this one that your mom has?!”
The look on y/n’s little wolf face when she'd gotten her answer had made them laugh and energized them enough to finish the whole movie before falling asleep.
Natasha yawned again as she got up and stretched out her paws and back before quietly moving forward and gently nuzzling Wanda awake and giving her some kisses. Today was going to be a busy day, it was apology day and they needed to get ready for court so they could get it over with and have the rest of the day to spoil Y/n. “Wake up malyshka, we have court today, and we need to spoil our omega”
