Anxiety
After the drive to the mall in one of Natasha’s fancy cars, the Three mates entered the three story building linked by the hand. As they entered, Y/n squeezed her alphas’ hands a bit tighter as they began to make their way through the throngs of people.
Y/n wasn't entirely a Mall person. The omega had her stores and loved going to the movies but after everything she'd been through, it wasn't her favorite place. She’d always had a sensitive nose and was immediately overcome by the sheer number and mingling of the smells around her. There were so many people feeling so many different ways, and there was a cornucopia of food from every corner of the globe, not to mention the various perfumes in the air, Y/n couldn't distinguish which was which. And the noise, oh the noise noise noise. She could hear footsteps, and the motorized wheelchairs, and the talking, and the growls, and the purrs, and the toys, and the different music played in each store. And everyone was crowding around them, it was getting to be too much and she started to unconsciously stop walking and whined softly.
Y/n knew she was starting to panic but she couldn't stop it. She was unknowingly releasing panicked pheromones into the air and it was becoming harder and harder to draw breath.
“ Detka?” the worried forest green eyes made contact with Y/n’s unfocused blue ones. The alpha knew something was wrong with her mate. However, before she could do anything for her, the dam broke for the omega when an angry alpha collided with her from behind and continued on his grumpy way.
Y/n knees gave out on her as she lost her breath and fear took over as the feeling of dying consumed her.
“Y/n!!” both alphas cried out, Natasha catching their omega before she met the hard floor.
The widow picked up her omega guiding her legs around her waist and her head to her neck. “ Wands, where's the closest restroom?” she couldn't see with all the people around them.
Red mist surrounded the younger alpha as she levitated just enough to see the sign but to also not draw a crowd. Dropping to the floor once again she moved over to her right and started leading the way over “this way”
They fought their way through the crowd and into the restroom together. Nat took Y/n with her to a corner of the room and sat down with her in her lap. She started rocking them back and forth while pumping out calming pheromones as the other alpha checked the stalls then locked the door behind them as she also produced her own soothing aroma.
The older alpha placed one of y/n’s hands on her chest “ you're going to be okay Detka just try and breathe with me” she whispered.
Wanda knew what was happening now, Y/n was having a panic attack. She hadn't had one in a while but they weren't gone completely. In all the excitement of the day, they overlooked her anxiety pill. This was nothing they couldn't handle though. Both alphas knew what she needed and how to prevent it from happening again as long as they didn't spend all day here. Red mist surrounded the alpha again as she made a dome around her and her mates blocking out all the foreign noises and smells.
It took a few minutes but Y/n started to relax and come back to herself
And breathe normally “I'm sorry” she sniffled in the crook of her alpha’s neck. Fighting the exhaustion that always accompanied an attack.
“ you have nothing to be sorry for” Nat insisted.
“Yes Dorogoy, these things happen, and if anything it's our fault we knew this place could be triggering, but with the excitement of the day we forgot your anxiety preventative”
The younger Alpha explained.
“ it's no ones fault, we all forgot”
Y/n mumbled.
Natasha kissed Y/n’s forehead “Would you like to go home, Detka?”
“ no, please. I don't want this to win and ruin our day. When we get home though I will probably crash for a while, I'm bone tired”
Both alphas made eye contact and nodded “ then we’ll all take a nap together when we get back home, and after that, we can celebrate properly. How does that sound?” the widow proposed.
Y/n nodded her head “Mmhm that sounds great”
“For now, here” Wanda handed a pair of earphones to Y/n “this will help with the noise out there and we can just communicate through our mate link, and this..” she grabbed a small tube out of one of her alpha mate’s pockets, dabbing the smelly substance on the omega’s upper lip.” .will help with the smells”
Once they got out of the restroom, they continued on with their shopping, having a few laughs, trying on clothes and picking out jewelry as wanda, magiced their bags to the car. The alphas only had one more stop on the second floor that they wanted to make, but they could see the exhaustion in their omega quite clearly. They led their mate to an assortment of chairs and benches all clustered together so that she could sit and wait for the to finish their shopping.
“ Stay here Detka, Wanda and I want to get you one more special something before we leave but it might take a few minutes “ Nat explained through their link.
“ I think you're going to like this one Dorogoy but we want it to be a surprise and we can see that you are tired, so rest while we're gone okay”
Y/n smiled at them with her earphones still in place. “okay , I'll stay right her, but only because I love you”
“We love you too.” Both alphas replied as they walked away.
Wanda and Nat walked a few stores down then took a right. After taking the right they walked down a few more stores until they reached the one they were looking for. They both looked up at the sign above the store that read ‘Unwrapped’ in a curvy font. When they stepped inside, they were met with a wide variety of lingerie in all different colors and sizes, but none more prominent than the one the mannequin was wearing in front of the door.
Wanda pointed excitedly “ look Nat, we should try that one on, you know how Y/n loves Rainbow”
“I know she does, but I'd rather find one with more freedom here, maybe something in black, or red” she said, pointing to the lower region of the mannequin.” you should try it on though, you'd look better in it then I would”
“ well it's one option, but we should keep looking..” she said “ oh look, this one is in the lesbian flag colors”
Nat chuckled, pointing towards a big section of the store “ yeah they have a whole section of lgbt themed options here, the owners live under the Rainbow like us, honestly you'd think everyone would be happy letting people be with their true mates, whoever they are, but there's always someone you know.”
The two alphas browsed for a while before they made it to the dressing room. Wanda was already dressed having found the one she wanted already, while Natasha was in between trying on outfits when they were linked.
“HELP!”
Shopping forgotten Natasha shifted into her wolf and bolted out the door, Wanda running not far behind.
When they reached the chairs they had left Y/n on, all that greeted them was an empty spot, a smashed phone with the earbuds still attached, and the lingering scent of their omega's fear in the air.
“No” Wanda breathed
