It's Everything You Wanted
He didn’t know what else to do.
He woke up on grass and the first thing he saw was a building with a giant A on the side, all he knew is that they could help him, they could help him go home.
He didn’t think that the Avengers would react so badly;
Tony glares, his repulsors raised and ready to fire despite the little girls seidr holding him back. Even though he’s injured and weak, he didn't completely heal himself, there are still cuts and bruises all over his body, not to mention his neck is still fucking sore. But obviously, they don’t trust him. So he listens as Stark asks “how are you here? how the hell are you walking around?”
“one foot in front of the other” Ikol shoots back “why, how do you do it?”
“how do you keep faking your death?” a man with a metal arm asks, he didn’t remember there being so many Avengers. He also did not remember there being a raccoon, a teenager and a cyborg.
He ignores that, going back to his main problem, “Can you help me please? I just wanna go home” it feels like it has been an eternity since he’s been home.
“home..” Tony shakes his head, his brow furrowed as he asks “Asgard was destroyed, remember?”
Ikol recoils and looks around, realizing Steve is missing, he assumed he was just at home or on a mission. But judging by the gloomy environment, something bad happened. “what happened?”
And they explained it all. The attack on the statesman, Tony, a wizard and another teenager going to space, the fight in Wakanda. Thor on Nevadellir. What they never mentioned is “how did they find the soul stone?” he asks because no one knew where it was.
Or So he thought, “he sacrificed Gamora” the blue cyborg says and Ikol has never been more confused in his life, why is she talking like he should know who Gamora is?
He frowns and blurts “who the hell is Gamora?”
Natasha shares a look with Barton and Stark before asking “what’s the last thing you remember?”
“I woke up on the floor to you all in my face” he announces and mutters “I did something bad didn’t I?” before they could try and speak over him. They ignore him instead.
Natasha pulls Clint and Tony aside to talk to them despite Ikol being able to hear. He is a god. “we have to keep him here”
“no we don’t” Clint disagrees instantly “his brother is home, he can take him”
Since when did he have a brother?
“Thor isn’t healthy enough right now and obviously Loki isn’t either”
Loki? Thor is his brother?
“she’s right Eagle eye, we have to keep him here until he knows everything”
“why not tell him now?”
“I say this with love” Tony warns before telling him “you are an idiot”
“Okay!” Tony turns around “You’re staying, there are already rooms ready”
“I want to go home”
“you will” Natasha reassures “after” she unknowingly lies to his face but he decides to play along. They must be lying for a good reason right?
So he decides to ask “After what?” instead, and he kind of wishes he didn’t because the result was tests. They poked and prodded and scanned and checked his body for almost three hours before their satisfaction was filled. And Ikol is a little curious about his own changes after his resurrection
Bruce blows out a long breath as he mentions “his temperature is too low”
“How low?”
“54.6 Fahrenheit” Tony’s eyebrows drop in response as he looks at Ikol, happily playing with Bruce’s old fidget cube, pretending not to listen in on the two talking. "he should be hypothermic" he should actually be dead with that low of a temperature.
"I know"
“what else?”
“His heart and breathing is slower, he’s lacking iron, keratin and everything else he needs but he seems fine. Still has the Asgardian physiology, his metabolism, neurons and brain function is way faster” He flips the page and continues reading “the slow heart explains why he’s so pale, but his healing is still the same and he never reacted to any of the tests as if he didn’t feel any of it” Bruce swallows. “not to mention all of his scars”
Tony frowns, he didn’t think there would be consequences from the resurrection, then again he’s never met anyone that was resurrected. He should have known seeing how cold and dead Loki's eyes are. He says “we do more tests after he heals” for now “I’m gonna try and get him to talk”
