Summary
Peter Parker was your average normal teenager, who just happened to be Spider-Man and his life was so far going pretty well...surprisingly. He got himself into a relationship and no one noticed he could see through the Mist. Peter didn't mind being Spider-Man, as long as no one puts him in a high pedestal and expects him to be perfect. He didn't need to fake a "golden boy" persona and just be himself. He didn't have people who wanted him to be perfect. Like the roman perfect soldier he once was.Peter Parker aka Spider-Man used to be Jason Grace, the son of Jupiter. What else could go wrong? Well, you gotta love the Parker Luck cause he's going to meet someone from his past life.

Chapter 1

It was like any typical morning in New York. Peter walked up to his locker as he texted Aunt May that he got to school safely. When he opened his locker, he shoved everything inside and made sure nothing bad was happening around the city. As he was walking through the halls, Peter noticed a couple of Greek and Roman monsters. Luckily, those guys were harmless. Peter sighed. Sometimes he wished he didn't had to see through the Mist. Ever since he chose to reincarnate, he didn't expected to see through the Mist and kept the memories of his past life.

The Fates, really do love messing with me, huh? Peter thought.

Although he wasn't the only one who could see through the Mist. Aunt May, his close friends, and almost every superhero known to man. Peter tried to keep it in the down low. He didn't want to draw attention to himself. He didn't want to run into anyone he knew of his past life. Peter knew he would be easy to recognized. He pretty much looked like brunette version of his past life, except lean and scrawny. That's it!!!

"Peter!!" a voice called.

As Peter turned, he saw his best friend, Gwen Stacy was running up towards him. Gwen had blonde hair, green eyes, and olive skin. Peter was about to wave back, but he slammed into the wall. The students around him snickered and Peter adjust his glasses.

Yep, the Fates do hate me, Peter concluded.

"Sorry," Gwen apologized.

"It's fine," Peter chuckled. "I wasn't looking." then he looked around and whispered. "Got the stuff?"

Gwen rolled her eyes. "You make it sound like we're smuggling drugs!"

"Gwen!"

Sighing, Gwen took out some web cartages and handed it to him. "Here," she crossed her arms. "And try not to cause a power outage."

"That was one time!"

Gwen smirked and ruffled his hair and Peter grumbled. Even though Peter didn't really need to make his ow we fluid, but he did had problems creating various forms of web traps. It actually takes time and he didn't like that, so he uses web shootings to make some webs that he couldn't do, like a web taser and a web bomb. Peter used to be the one who designs and make everything until he found out Gwen was also bitten by the spider as well. Different spider, but they were from the same family. So they became an ultimate duo. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider. However, Gwen doesn't come out as Ghost-Spider as much because there were a lot of things that were going on in her life. She was in a band, in a relationship, and wanted to help him build his gadgets. Whenever Peter needed help, Gwen will stop what she's doing and help him. The public would sometimes call Gwen, Spider-Woman too, since she's the only female spider. There was even a debate too.

"Hey, we should stop buy at that new Italian cafe after school," Gwen said.

"What's it called?" Peter asked.

"Solace di Angelo," Gwen answered. "It's a family owned cafe and the couple there are really cool!"

Then Peter stopped his tracks. He knew those last names. A part of him wanted to go, but at the same time he didn't want to. Peter knew one person there could sense his soul and he wouldn't be surprised if he knew he was reborn, but Peter swore he didn't want to go back to his former life. Even though Peter does trust his old friend not to say anything, but Peter was scared. He was scared that he'll have to go back living like a child soldier again.

"Maybe next time," Peter said. "I promised May that I'll help her clean the house. Also Felicia is coming over."

Gwen smirked. "Oooohh!"

Peter blushed. "Gwen! Seriously! She's just coming over."

"Sure, Pete. Why else would May want you to help her clean the house. You're bringing a girl home."

"A girl who just happens to be a cat burglar," Peter muttered.

"Not my fault you're into girls that can kick your ass."

"I do not!"

"Yes you do!"

Peter stuck his tongue out and Gwen rolled her eyes. Then the two laughed. Peter knew why Gwen would tease him about Felicia. Ever since Peter became Spider-Man, he met Black Cat and after several months, Peter found out who Felicia was. She was Gwen's next door neighbor and childhood friend. Peter convinced Felicia to stop all the stealing and surprisingly she agreed. She only did it because her family were about to be kick out from their apartment. Peter and Gwen helped her and soon Felicia's family wouldn't be kicked out. After that Peter let Felicia joined him and Gwen in their spider gang, he asked her out, and the rest was history.

Then the bell rang. Peter sighed as he and Gwen said their goodbyes, heading to their respective classes. Peter didn't want to go to class, but he knew he had to. Besides, at least the first class of the day wasn't too bad. It was just math. When Peter got to class, he sat at his usual seat in the middle. Luckily, Peter didn't had to deal with Flash Thompson until history class, which was sadly his next class.

As class started, Peter was writing his notes, trying to keep track on what his teacher was lecturing them. They were learning about the Roman Empire, ironically. Peter knew the subject well, but he still needed to take notes. There were some things he didn't remember since he was busy living in his second life. While he was writing his notes, he felt his phone vibrated. Peter glanced at his teacher, who had his back turned to the whole class. Quickly, Peter took out his phone and saw a text from Felicia.

Felicia: Doc Ock on the loose, Petey.

Peter pursed his lips. He looked at the time and it was only an hour since class started. Sometimes Peter forgot how time flies. As Peter put his phone away, he made a constipated face, and raised his hand. His teacher merely turned and pointed at him.

"Yes?" his teacher asked.

"Mr. Matsumoto, I really need to use the bathroom," Peter groaned. "I don't feel so good."

"Go," his teacher said.

Right away, Peter did as he was told and ran out of the classroom. Peter raced into the janitor's closet and quickly changed into his suit. As he opened the window, he leaped out and swung from building to building. He looked at his phone and saw the location Felicia was giving him. Doc Ock was at downtown in Queens ad he had someone hostage. Peter growled. It was only a month since he stopped Doc Ock and now he's back. From what Peter knew, Doc Ock went into hiding after Peter stopped him from trying to kill J. Jonah Jameson.

As Peter swung, he kicked Doc Oct across the face without hurting the hostage as he landed on the side of the building. Doc Ock yelled as he still held his hostage. Doctor Octavious's goggles were broken and he clenched his fists, having his tentacle claws opening up a long thin blade.

"Hey Doc Ock, how's it going," Peter said. "Miss me?"

"Spider-Man!" Doc Ock growled.

Peter smirked and glanced at the hostage. His eyes widened. The hostage was a teenager with spiky black hair and stormy blue eyes. She had a black leather jacket and a punk rock band t-shirt. She even had a silver circlet on her forehead. Peter couldn't believe it. He never thought he'll see her again.

"Thalia?" Peter muttered.
