Romance Dawn part 3
*Luffy, Morbius, and Koby arrive on the island and walk through a town.*
Koby: Looks like there’s a farmer’s market today.
Luffy: Hey, is that guy Zoro around here?
*Hearing this, all the townsfolk hide.*
Morbius: Seems like mentioning his name is some kind of bad omen. He must be that scary.
Luffy: We should check out that marine base then. Don’t you want to be a marine?
Koby: I don’t think I’m ready. And I heard that the one in charge is a guy named Captain Morgan.
*the townsfolk hide again.*
Morbius: Captain Morgan too? Guess they’re all afraid of something.
*They go to the base, but it’s surrounded by a wall.*
Morbius: They built a wall around him? Damn. He must really be dangerous.
Koby: Luffy, this is where you and I part ways-
*But he’s on top of the wall.*
Koby: What are you doing up there?!
Luffy: Now where’s this Zoro guy?
Koby: They wouldn’t leave him out in the open.
Luffy: I found him!
Morbius. What, let me see!
*Morbius climbs up the wall.*
Morbius: That's him?
Koby: There's no way he’s over there.
*He climbs up the wall and sees Zoro tied up to a wooden post.*
Morbius: I can see he kinda has green hair. I wonder if that is natural?
Zoro: You three… you’re all an eye sore. Get lost.
Koby: I think we should listen to him. There’s no way you’ll survive with someone like that on your crew.
Morbius: Yeah, seems too much like a hassle. I doubt anyone goes in there.
*But a little girl climbs over the wall, carrying some food and walks towards Zoro.*
Little girl: I made you some food. You haven’t eaten anything since you’ve been stuck up there.
Zoro: I’m not hungry.
Little girl: But they’re rice balls I made.
Morbius: That little girl does know she’s not allowed to be in there right?
Zoro: Look, I’m not hungry. Now get lost.
*A gate opens with someone followed by two marines.*
???: What have we here? Oh those look delicious.
*He takes one of them.*
Little girl: Hey!
*He eats it.*
???:… BLAH! There’s too much sugar!
Little girl: I thought it would make it sweeter.
???: It’s bad!
*He throws the other on the ground and stomps on it.*
???: Take this! Take that!
Morbius: Wow, what an asshole.
???: Throw her out!
*The marines toss her out, but Luffy catches her.*
???: So you think you can survive the full trip tied up?
Zoro: Of course I can. I’ve got ten days left.
???: That’s assuming you survive.
*He walks away.*
Koby: Um, where did Luffy go?
*Luffy climbs over the gate again and walks towards Zoro.*
Zoro: You’re still here?
Luffy: Are you really strong?
Zoro: Mind your own business.
Morbius: Luffy!
*He goes over the wall, but injures himself.*
Morbius: Ouch! Hey pal! What do you think you’re doing?
Zoro: You too?
Luffy: If I were you, I’d starve in 3 days.
Zoro: I’ve got more spirit than you’ll ever have. Which is why I am going to survive this whole ordeal.
Luffy: What a weirdo.
Zoro: Wait, can you feed me that?
Morbius:… That?
Zoro: Yes, that rice ball on the floor.
Morbius: It's more mushy mud now.
Zoro: Just give it to me!
Luffy: Alright.
*Luffy feeds him the dirty rice ball.*
Zoro: It was good. Tell her I said thanks for the food.
Morbius: Alright then… as soon as I can get my legs to move…
*Later*
Rika: He liked it?
Morbius: Yeah. He said his thanks.
Rika: He would have liked them more if they weren’t dirty. It’s all that stupid Helmeppo’s fault.
Morbius: Helmeppo is his name. He’s a huge as- meanie.
Luffy: That Zoro guy doesn’t seem like a bad guy. Why is he tied up?
Rika: Helmeppo was treating us poorly one day just because he’s Captain Morgan’s son. He protected us from him, but he was punished by being tied up for a month.
Morbius: He was punished for being good? Injustice.
*They see Helmeppo is in a restaurant.*
Helmeppo: Now give me some of your finest champagne. Now I’m trying to think of something to do, seeing as how I’m bored. I guess I could execute Zoro. Hahahahaha!
*But Luffy runs up to him and punches him.*
Koby: What did you just do?!
Morbius: He got what he deserved. Lemme at him.
*Morbius lightly hits him with his crutches.*
Morbius: Ha!
Helmeppo: You just hit me! I’m Captain Morgan’s son!
Luffy: I don’t care…
Helmeppo: You’ll care after he executes you!
Luffy: I’ve already made up my mind. Today, Zoro joins my crew.
Morbius: So let him go! Or you’ll get beaten up! By a crutches man and guy with a straw hat!
Helmeppo: Wait till my father hears about this!
*He runs away.*
Luffy: Guess we should let Zoro go.
Morbius: Agreed. Although what does his father look like… now I don’t want to know.
*meanwhile*
Helmeppo: Father! There’s someone I want you to execute right now!
???: Hhmmmm…
