Chapter 2

Three weeks have passed as the days have gone by in a flash, Piers' seemingly small vacation break from his tour is over.

Last week was in a heretic mess, with Theresa yapping non-stop in his ears for preparations for his worldwide tour. She listed his schedule explaining to him in detail the appointments and meetups he had to attend before his flight to Glasgow on Wednesday.

He has to contact his band members to inform them of the plane flight back to Scotland, so that they can all meet up in the Heathrow Airport in time.

Piers was currently packing up his suitcases for tomorrow morning, making sure to pack his binders, pants, shirts, underwear, notebooks, makeup, and whatever else necessary for his trip. He was wearing his night pajamas, a t- shirt with long black pajama pants, and his phone was on the night stand by his bed.

He folded a pair of socks together and stuffed them in his suitcase. He looked around his room to make sure he was not forgetting anything. Once he decides he has everything, he zip up his suitcases and put them in the closet. He headed downstairs to grab a snack for the night.

He ate some chocolate chip cookies with a pair of chocolate biscuits with a side of milk, a sweet tooth he is like his sister, consuming whatever sweets he could get his hands on. Theresa disapproved of it saying sweets were not good for him (she dislikes sweets of any kind) reminding to stick with his assigned diets provided by his nutritionist. He of course ignores her hiding his treats on him whenever he goes out to meetings, he makes sure to eat them in private.

He headed up back to his room upstairs, and sat on his bed putting down the plate and cup on the nightstand, he grabbed his phone. He decided to text his two friends in his group chat…

Piers : Hey bitches 😀

Stacie : Hey emo boy, ready for your trip back home ?

Mark : Hey dude

Piers : Yup ! Ready for that warm weather, London’s weather is cold for me!

Mark : That's because you barely have any fat on you to warm up that skinny body of yours .

Piers : Fuck You, Mark 🙄

Mark : 😂 So are we going to meet up soon ?

Stacie : Yeah are you, Piers ?

Piers : Not sure fellas, my schedule is tight for the moment.

Stacie and Mark : Bummer 😞

Piers : Cheer up lads, I’ll see if I have any free time soon.

Stacie : Whatever you say Emo boy, have a goodnight man.

Mark : Yeah night Piers.

Piers : Goodnight you two, talk to you soon

Piers exited the chat and grabbed his plate to shove more cookies in his mouth, gobbling down quickly including his small biscuits, he chugged down with a cup of milk. Once he was done with his yummy treats he set his alarm clock for 7:00 a.m

He got comfortable in his bed pulling his sheet over his head and soon drifted to sleep.

—--------

The next morning, his alarm blared out waking up Piers, he shutted off and got out of bed.

He did his regular morning routine, taking a shower, brushing his teeth, and headed downstairs for breakfast. He ate some blueberry pancakes with a side of French toast. He had orange juice as well, the breakfast filling him.

He put on his outfit for the day, a black button t-shirt with black ripped jeans and a pair of black shoes. He wore a black Pullover that had a marked skull at the back. He brings his suitcases down in the living room, and stacks them by the door, so when Richard comes to pick him up, he doesn't have to rush upstairs for it.

Piers checked his phone, the time 8:30, Richard should be here in the next 15 minutes, he looked at the TV, might as well enjoy the shows while he was on the way, he thought as he grabbed the remote on the center table and turned on the T.V. He put on a Nature Documentary, a show that was explaining about marine habitats. Piers lounges on the couch, staring at the T.V as he awaits Richard’s arrival.

15 minutes later, Piers heard a knock on his door, that must be him, the singer got up and headed for the door. He opened it and there greeted Richard, standing tall wearing his crispy iron black suit with a pair of shades, Piers’ brows rose up in surprise when he saw Richard wearing a black baseball cap. So out of place for his long time bodyguard, “Mine telling me what the Black cap is for, Richard?”

The older man smiled, “oh me and my older son are going on a camping trip today. I was going to pick him up right after I dropped you off at the airport. Why do you ask, "Does it look a little off?”

“I mean yeah a baseball cap with a bodyguard suit make a uneven match, no offense”

“None taken sure of have known not to follow my daughter's assistance in wearing this”, he sighed taking off the cap. “Let’s get going, can't be late”.

His bodyguard grabbed his suitcases by the door, “meet you in the car”,he walked out the door. Piers headed back to the living room and turned off the T.V, he grabbed his wallet and keys from the center and walked to a large mirror by the front of his door. He makes sure to fix his hair and neat it to make sure it doesn't look out of place. Once he decided he looked proper he put on his sunglasses and headed out the door.

He met up with Richard in the car, in the same parking lot he took a few weeks prior. The pair dove off to the airport.

The drive to the airport took about two hours to reach plus an extra thirty minutes thanks to traffic. Once they reached there they were greeted by Alice and Theresa with their own pair of suitcases as well.

“Mr. Piers, you arrive just in time, our flight will leave in just 20 minutes, let's head inside”, his secretary said, signaling to two people to grab their luggage. “Good day to you Richard”, she greeted him politely looking up at the tall man, his bodyguard greeted her back.

“Now you take good care of Piers here for me, I trust you will keep him in line?”

Theresa briefly smiles before shifting it into a neutral line, “don't worry Mr. Richard, I'll keep a good eye on him. As per always”, the blonde woman spoke, side eyeing him from her rose red sunglasses.

Piers scowled lightly,” Oye don't go treating me like a little child needed to be watched. I can take care of myself just fine!”

Theresa, Alice and Richard shared a glance that spoke yeah right.

“Yeah don't go worrying yourself for Piers well make sure it won't get himself into trouble or sneak off”, the short black haired assistant beamed.

She grabbed onto his arm and pulled him to the airport, “now come I'm eager to get to Scotland. And your band team is waiting by the plane entrance so let's hurry.”

Piers was yanked hard but the woman's strength, how could a small woman like Alice be so strong. The two headed inside the airport together with the two airplane staff following behind carrying their luggage and bags.

Richard and Theresa watched them go, “Aye I figure I’ll see you soon, Theresa”.

“Yeah, I will be in Scotland for a couple of months. While we are away make sure to take a nice break ok, Rick”, the blonde said referring to him by his nickname.

The bald headed man patted her shoulder, “ I can't wait to hangout with my son and daughter for months since we had a family outing”.

He walked back to the car, “See ya soon, T”, he waved to her.

She waved back, “ See you later big guy”.

The bodyguard drove off as Pier's secretary headed inside the airport.

—----

“Hey Piers!”, a loud feminine voice boom. Piers and Alice spotted three people by the plane entrance.

A muscular woman waved her hand towards them, she was a regular size woman, with bright pink eyes, dark eye shadow with a stylish mohawk hairstyle that was hot pink with a back tip in the top. She wears a punk style outfit that reminds anyone who first meets her as some sort of rockstar fan. Behind her were two guys with matching attire like her, but a few noticeable differences. The first had a slicked back undercut that was black with grayish white tips, he had a smooth pale face with brown eyes. The second lad beside him had a short quiff hairstyle that was dyed purple. He had multiple face piercings on his nose and lips.

“Hey Ava, Connor and Carson, long time no see lads!”,Piers waved back.

Ava, Connor and Carson are chosen members of his band. They met four years ago, when Piers was just starting as a newly famous singer. He knew these lads as childhood playmates from his old home town where his Great Grandma and Great Grandpa used to live. They were triplets and odd ones at times. Many villagers used to think the triplets had a psychic connection to one another, like knowing what the other is thinking, and not voicing it. He used to hangout with them before he got older and was sent to school across Scotland.

“Man it's been ages, little man”, Ava hugged him tight, nearly squeezing his lungs.

“Yeah good to see you, and to correct you it's only been a month or so”, he wheezed patting Ava back. “Can you let go of now, you're choking me”.

“Sorry man”, she releases him. He staggered a bit, catching his breath.

He smiled at Connor and Carson, “How are things with you guys?”

“Great, we have girlfriends now!”, Connor said excitedly. Carson blushed.

“Oh that's good to hear, ready to head to Scotland?”

“Yeah!”,The triplets yelled together, startling a few people nearby, “I can’t wait to eat their delicious black pudding, their petticoat tails, their cod fish and chips, The triplets gasp together dreamily, “The Scotch Pie!”.

At this point, the triplets had big hearts in their eyes, daydreaming of the food paradise they will experience in the next hours.

Speaking of hours, the plane will depart in 7 minutes, “Guys hate to spoil your food fest but if you want those treats we better get going”, Piers spoke up.

Theresa nodded in agreement, “Yes, Piers right let’s get a move on”.

The crew boarded the airplane, walking through the hallway that led to their assigned plane. Once they got on, they headed to their first class room on board the plane.

The three share the first class room with other people all in different seats

Piers chose a comfortable chair with soft padding on the bottom and back of his chair that can change temperature to his own liking.

Theresa sat next to Piers, her legs crossed with a notebook on top. She was writing down a schedule and list for Piers’s stage performance preparations and stuff. Alice was sitting behind them, her headphones over her ears as she listened to her playlist. The triplets were sitting on the far left side of the plane by the window. They were busy munching on chocolate chips provided by the attendant of the plane, scrolling on their phone.

“The flight to Scotland will take about 2 to 3 hours until then you should rest for now. I’ll wake you up when we land”, Theresa spoke, not looking up from notebook.

“Thank, Theresa”, Piers said, grabbing his headphones from his case and putting it over his ears. He chose a soft tune with a mixture of sea waves in the background, he grabbed a spare neck pillow from a stand by his feet. He got comfy and soon drifted to sleep.

A few hours later, Piers felt a tap on his shoulder, he snorted awake and looked beside him to see Theresa tapping him up. He looked around noticing how everyone was unbuckling their seats, “We here already?”

“Yeah, man three hours isn’t that long you know”, Carson chuckle walking out the first class door.

“Yeah, Piers you do oversleep at times”, Alice commented fixing her glasses and hair, “especially in short hours. Be dead asleep to the world unless someone reminds you or you put an alarm clock by your ear”.

“It barely felt like I got any rest at all”, he grumbled unbuckling his seatbelt and stretching out his limbs, he heard a pop from his back. He winced.

Connor and Ava share a look as Piers rubs his back tenderly, “Damn Piers you alright, lad?”

Theresa noticed this, “Piers have you been doing your workout routines like your diet advisor told you to do?”

Piers avoided her gaze, “No”.

Theresa rolled her eyes, “You need to do those exercises Piers, it's supposed to make you more fit. Including eating those assigned diets the doctor told you to eat.” She gestured to his arm, “I mean look at these arms”.

Piers grumbled moving his arm around her grasp, “I know Theresa put know well enough that I’m not a damn rabbit, eating those bland greens, and tasteless carrots, the heck?”

“It good for you Piers”

“Yeah, yeah”, he walked out the first cabin door.

Together the group got their luggage and things exited out the airport and into the fresh air of the skies. The steady air and the quietness of the front entrance of Glasgow Airport was heaven for Piers as he sucked in the cool crisp air. The triplets beside him were taking pictures on their phones, they smiled wide and giddily as they captured every angle of the open landscape farther away from the airport. Alice was looking around, eyebrows curled up in surprise as she took notice of the lack of people coming in and out of the airport, very few hanging about in the parking lot area. The quietness of the airport must be a surprise for her since she and her family were from Japan, and their cities were known to be quite checked and loud with bustling neon colors and billboard frames. Theresa on the other hand was busy talking on the phone, probably with the directors of the concert building they were heading too.

They heard a beep of a car and looked up to see a long black luxury limbo driving upfront in the parking lot and where they were waiting. Theresa walked forward to the front view window of the car, the window gone down revealing a nice looking fellow with an orange beard and green eyes. He wore an iron press black suit with a black tie, and a captain -like hat with a golden crest on top.

“Halo, a ghilean, feumaidh gur e na daoine a bhios mi a sonrachadh airson draibheadh chun stadium”, the driver greeted. “Hello there lads, must be the folks I’m assigned to drive to the stadium.

Alice looked at him dumbly, questioning in her head what the driver just told her group, while Theresa, Piers, Ava, Connor and Carson all politely greeted him back. Since Piers and the triplets came from Scotland originally they all understand the language while Theresa knew of the language thanks to her mother, who was from Scotland as well. The only one who didn’t know was Alice, since she never was taught Scot Gaelic.

“Seadh, an urrainn dhuinn tighinn a-steach”? Theresa asked him. Yes, can we come in?”

The driver nodded, he opened up the back trunk letting the group put their luggages in and they all headed inside the car. Inside the car was a nice scarlet color, with the locks and handles a shiny pitch black. They got comfortable as the driver headed off from the airport and into the narrow but bare road. The road was covered in lush grasslands of an expansive field, many of them holding cows and sheeps and goats with a golden bell on their collars. They pass a small hill with beautiful flowers of pink, yellow and blue decorating the field with a wide range of multi colors. Alice had her face pressed into the window, her cheeks smudged as her big green eyes took in the beautiful serenity of the landscape. Piers looked at the window view smiling softly, looking gazeley of his beautiful homeland.

“It's been ages since I returned to this place”, he thought, looking at the fields blurring from his view. The sight of the familiar but distant feeling of the landscape he grew up loving as a young child made him feel a sense of nostalgia. Small memories he remembers of Scotland was that of him and his parents when they were alive. They were living in the village of St Abbs by the Scottish Borders, the place beautiful with an abundance of wildflowers, the high cliffs where the birds roost, the flat hills where he used to run his bare feet on. And the best of all, the sea. The crystal blue sea, its whitish sky blue waves hitting the rocky shores of his former childhood home. Remembering the time where he and his parents would hangout by the edge of the beach, playing on the sands, collecting the sea shells and taking a quick splash of the waves. Those days were the happiness of his life, until his parents passed. When he heard of his parent's death the whole world seemed to stop, him quite not comprehending his surroundings. Sounds muted out around him, him becoming semi aware of his beating heart, the ringing of his ears, the tears that blurred his eyes. At the time, his sister was a baby being held by their grandmother, as the older women wept silently of her daughter and son in law's tragic passing. At that time, Piers was nothing more but a former shell of himself, barely talking, eating and sleeping. He remained motionless and quiet as the world around him became silent and still. Those memories haunted Piers up until now and tried his best to lock them up in the deepest part of his mind.

He sometimes wishes fate was more kind and let him have a few years with parents, but as many say and go that times life isn’t fair. And one way or another we go through challenges and heartaches.

“Pier, Pier, PIER!”

He blinked up and turned to look at Connor beside him shaking his shoulder, “Piers man you alright there?” his voice sounded worried.

“Yeah, yeah what you were saying, mate?”

“I was telling everyone that there was a cafe I wanted to try out on Friday, it was located in Inverness, … but I noticed you blanking out mate. Is everything alright?”

Piers rubbed his eyes, “yeah i'm fine just zoning out”.

Everyone in the car doesn’t look convinced, especially Ava, “You sure dude, we could talk about it if you want?”

Piers brushed her off,”Yeah I’m good just a trip down memory lane that all”.

“If you said so”, Ava went back to scrolling on her phone. The rest of the gang continue their conversation, but Piers can still tell that they are worried.

—------

The drive to the city was an experience Piers’ crew won’t ever forget. The city was a large place with many buildings of different shapes and sizes, most of them with a 1900s vibe to them. The city was crowded with lots of tourists and citizens walking among the busy streets, with nearby cars traveling through the roads. The area was surrounded with plant life and trees, many large trees bustling by apartment buildings, their vines and leaves engraved on the walls. The flowers sprouted and spread in pots on the streets, their colors given the city a warm glow. The area was nice and spotless with not a hint of trash on the world. There were many reasons why Piers always loved Scotland, for one the people's willingness to keep their home clean and kept unlike some areas he visited around the world. The limbo drove across a large bridge that was connected from one side of the city to another. The river runs underneath the waves crashing up and down, boats and ferries traveling across it.

The car arrived in a large parking lot with several cars parked further away from the vehicle. Around the parking lot were grassy walkways with tall silver poles with lamp source, further down from the parking lot was the OVO Hydro, a multi purpose indoor arena. The arena was a large dome-like building that had a ray circular but wide shape that reminded Piers of a bowl of some sort with shining silver panels.

“Nice place”, Alice whispered, unlocking her door and looking out.

“Yeah”, Ava agreed, holding up her phone to take a picture.

“Huh not much to look at”, Connor commented with his arms behind his head, his face expression bored.

Carson kicked his brother's leg, “Shut up you idiot, you lack etiquette and taste”.

Connor scowled at his, “Oye that hurts you prick”, nursing his now throbbing leg, he glared at brother, his eyes telling him to watch his back.

Piers studied the arena noticing the silver panels dimming a little bit giving him a close view of the panels being seen through. “Theresa, when are the directors of this place saying they are meeting us at?”

“They say they will be inside the arena, they sending escorts now, she peered at her notebook, “until then the plan is that once we are finish with the tour in the arena, we start picking out the outfits your designer teams sent over a few days ago for the concert and I’ll head to the hotel in the city to drop our luggages. Once I am settled i’ll head back to the arena and you guys practice, while I get everything in order, Got it?”

The band team nodded at once, “Good, let’s get to work”.

As the hours passed, the band team met the two directors of the Ovo Hydro arena, Olivia and Logan, who is responsible for overseeing the arena construction and the organizations of concerts. The pair were very friendly helping the band members get familiarized with the inside interior of the building. They directed them to a changing room, a decent size room with a black exterior design. Piers and his band members' clothes were in the large closet, they each picked out chosen outfits.

Piers chose a black tank top shirt with a silver chain necklace with a cross on it, with a baggie but stylish pair of sweat that have metal chains attached to the pockets on the bottom. He will wear combat boots with it including long black sleeveless gloves.

Ava has chosen to wear a long sleeve crop top shirt with skull graffiti in the middle of it, while wearing gothic black jeans that are ripped by the knees. She will wear a long black sweater hanging from her arms and black lipstick. She will wear regular sneakers as well. Her brother, Connor, chose to wear a black t-shirt with a small tunic vest over it. With it a long Victorian jacket tailcoat with black smooth tights and leather zip of boots. His whole outfit he chose for himself screams nobility. Piers didn’t understand at first why Connor always chose an 1800s century outfit for their concert performance, until Connor told him of how he has a worship of Victotarian outfits and finds them “classy”.

Carson chose an outfit consisting of a gray beanie, a graphic hoodie of a raven, a belt with a metal chain, black skinny jeans with converse shoes.

The group looked in the mirror, holding out their outfits, “The ladies will love this”, Connor admiring his concert outfit. Ava scoffed, “The only people who will love that are rich folks and British folk, including the royal family folks”. Connor threw a shirt at her head, Ava ducked before giving him the finger.

Carson and Piers ignored their banter, focusing on their own respective clothing, “I’ll admit your fashion buddies know where to pick the best course”, smiling at his wardrobe. “Yeah, my grandmother knows how to supply the best designers”, Piers said.

Once the band crew got their clothing setup and aside they began to practice for the show happening tonight. Piers was the lead singer while Ava was the front guarist, Connor the drummer and Carson the back guarists. They make sure to sing to the rhythm of the beat so the music will sound captivating and enchanting.

Nighttime hits,as the band was setting up their instruments with helpers around them, making sure everything was in place. Behind the curtains, was bustling noise of fans waiting to get a glimpse of the all time famous band of this era.

Piers was directing a few people to place the dum sets in the middle behind on an oval like stand, “make sure to nest it so it doesn’t look a bit crooked. Ok… easy easy not to fast, ok perfect”, he held up his hand signaling the group to stop as they put the table in place.

He thanked them observing the background before him taking in the emo black aesthetics of the stage giving off a spooky eternal vibe. “Everything set guys?”

“Yeah!”, all his band members confirmed.

Theresa and a man with a speaker on his neck appear beside Piers, “You guys are on to start in six minutes”, the man whispered in her ears, “I mean four minutes! Everyone in your station”.

Piers and rest grabbed their assigned piece and stood in position as the light shut off. They waited until they heard the announcer call out their band name, the curtains slowly moved aside as Piers heard the loud shouts and screams in the audience. The lights bursted out in purple colors swirling around them as slowly began to tap his feet. Ava slowly but steadily tapped her drums in beats to Piers' foot tap, while Connor and Carson started to produce sound from their guitars.

Piers looked up at the audience and grabbed the mic and shouted, “ALRIGHT EVERYONE READY TO PARTY!!!”

The crowd shouted in agreement tens to hundreds to thousands of fans waving their arms out, many with their phones out recording while others held out posters that wrote “I LOVE YOU GUYS!”

Piers smirked, “THEN LET’S ROCK”

—----

“That was bloody brilliant guys”, Ava shouted pumping her fists in the air. “I mean look at that crowd, the fans yelling and screaming their lungs out”

“Yeah, man I look at those girls swooning over me”, Connor smiled, slicking back his hair, “one of them crazy enough to throw her bra at me”, he said, holding up a pink bra.

“Connor you pervert, put away that!”, Ava scowled. Connor rolled his eyes, stuffing the garments in his vest.

Carson was holding large bouquets of flowers, mainly roses, in his arms, “Man I could anyone have flowers like these, shifting his arms to make sure they don’t fall off, I mean thank you for the love but leave the poor plants out of it”. Carson had always had a dislike of flowers being thrown on the stages, viewing them as a waste and unnecessary amount of work to clean up.

Piers stretched out his arms and rubbed his shoulders easing the tension of his muscle, still sore from all that moving and dancing on the stage. Doing those tight twists and turns on the stage sometimes leave his bones quaking and stuff. He is going to have to take a warm bath once they get to the hotel. “Guys, I don't know about you but I’m ready to leave and hit the beds plus showers too. Can one you call Theresa hear including Alice I don’t want to ditch the ladies”.

“Sure, man”, Connor and Ava brought out their phones as Connor called Alice, while Ava called Theresa.

The group headed in the parking lot, the sky fully dark, with the millions of stars dancing around the sky. All around them the buildings (including Ovo Hydro) glowed in the dark, making the city appear as a festival of light. A car was heard coming as the large limbo was parked by where the band crew was standing at.

Windows rolled down as both Alice and Theresa poked out their heads, “Piers whoo hoo! That was the best performance ever”, pumping out her fist from the car window”. Theresa rubbed her eyes, small dark bags being visible as she yawned, “Good work guys, let’s head out to the hotel. Feel like I'm about to fall asleep in this car”.

The ride back to hotels took a 30 minutes drive, as the streets weren't as crowded in the night like it was in the morning. They arrive at the Central Station, the main train system of Scotland. Beside its on the right corner was “Motel One”, a very tall black building with warm lit yellow lights coming from its windows. Inside was decorated with hanging lamp lights and warm brown walls, with the floor sparkling with its white surface. Theresa signed them in and led to the elevator. They went up the 5th floor and exited out into the suite hallways. Theresa gave them each of their keys and a small green card, “Ok the card will tell you which door is yours, and the keys I handed you are the one for your rooms. Lucky for us we don’t have much to do until Sunday where we have to attend a talk show. So use the two days to have fun.’

“Oh I love you Theresa”, the triplets shouted, hugging the blonde woman, she patted their backs before urging them to head towards their room. She and Piers nodded to each other before everyone went separate ways to their assigned rooms.

Piers' room was “5G”, the door dark green, he unlocked the door and headed inside, he quickly took off his shoes and jacket flinging it on the chair, before heading into the bathroom, to turn on the shower. He grabbed a scrub brush, some combs and hair shampoo and put on the shower stand and soon hopped in. Since the room didn’t have a bathroom tub he worked with just the warm water soothing his muscles. He quickly washed his hair and combed it to even it out, washing the sweat embedded in his hair from the arena hot air.

Once finished he quickly dried off and blow dried his hair the wept strands soon turning puffy and frizzy. He makes sure to take his time combing it out making sure it won’t be matted. He wrapped it in a bun and tied it with a black scarf. He lay down on the soft bed, soaking his skin on the smooth clean sheets. He grabbed his phone from the stand and turned on the screen…

Piers : Hey sis

Marnie : Hey big bro, I saw your performance online, that was amazing !!!

Piers : 🙂

Marnie : How is being back home feels like?

Piers : Feels like heaven

Marnie : Ah I wish to go back there !

Piers : You soon will

Marnie : Yeah waiting for the day, well it’s getting late I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Night bro.

Piers : Goodnight sis

Piers turned off his phone and slowly put on the stand, he turned off the lights and went to sleep.

The next day, the group decide to explore Glasgow for a bit with Ava and Alice wanting to explore the castles like buildings and their architecture that Scotland was so famously known for. Connor and Piers wanted a shot in trying out the cafes and stores, while Carson wanted to visit the Cathedral.

“I think it is more simple to visit and observe the beautiful building that inspires a lot of stories of dragons, knights, witches and fairies, to get a sense of feeling that you are arriving at an enchanted world”, Alice said exasperatedly.

“Yeah, I always wanted a chance to study the architecture of these buildings as a child, it was one of my dreams”, Ava piped in.

“Yeah, but the cathedral of Scotland was a historical landmark of this place, carrying hundreds of years worth of knowledge and discovery”, Carson argued.

“Guys, I thought this was supposed to be a vacation not a school trip of some sort. What are we a bunch of scientists or historians ?’’

That earned Connor even glares from Ava, Alice and Carson, both lips pressed thin.

Piers scowled at them holding a map in his hands, “I agreed we should be going cafes, restaurants and stores! Buying trinkets and junk enjoying ourselves. You would rather spend that time studying buildings?”

“I know you are not talking Piers, isn't your grandmother an architect ?”

“Yeah, what about it?”, his eyebrows twitched.

“I'm just saying, aren't you a little bit curious about how Scotland manages to preserve their rich culture and histories?”, Alice looked at him expectantly.

Piers sighed, he is not much of a person who likes studying or even designing buildings, those things are purely his grandmother's hobbies. She loves those types of things, Pier did not, he is a nature boy, Mother Earth's own work of art impressing him.

“No not much at all, I like to stick to food, nice looking things and buying things to add to my collection”, using his fingers to emphasize the three.

“Guys, can we just come up with a way to handle this issue and quickly I don’t want to miss the delicious croissants and hot coco this place has to offer”,Connor said impatiently, his arm crossed.

“How about this you and Alice could visit this street and whatever street they have that holds castles and fantasy buildings while me, Connor and Carson will get our treats and trinkets, then we can follow Carson to visit the Cathedral. How does that sound?”

“That sounds good to me”, Ava's voice. Connor and Carson nodded as well but Alice looked unsure, “didn’t Theresa say something about keeping close together as a group?”

All four band members groaned, “Theresa isn’t our mother, we're grown ass adults we can handle ourselves”, Carson grumbled. “Yeah we can always meet up at a certain time anyway”, Connor added in.

“Will be fine Alice, just have some faith and loosen yourself up”, Piers said, placing a hand on the short woman's shoulder. “We’ll be fine”.

Alice downcasted her eyes before sighing, “Alright then it won’t hurt to have a little fun”.

“That girl Alice, now come on let’s catch a bus”, Ava said, grabbing Alice’s arm and dashing off leaving dust in her wake with Alice squealing behind.

“And off they go”, Carson mused.

“Well fellas those pastries and cakes aren’t to eat themselves”, Piers said patting his stomach playfully, “Let’s be off then”. Piers ran down the street, his black and white hair blowing behind him.

Carson and Connor looked at each other before laughing together following right behind Piers.

The next few hours go through a blur as Connor and Piers dive from one store to another discovering whatever goods and items each store contains. Their excitement matched that of small children, with both pulling Carson around to show him whatever stuff caught their eye. They make sure to grab lunches from a cafe, the cafe enriched with different menus of food, with Piers and Connor buying as much sweets as possible. Carson opted to buy smoothies and a salad since he does not have much of a majority sweet tooth like Piers or his siblings.

The boys took a bus once Connor and Piers finished their little shopping sprees, taking the bus to the Cathedral's location. Carson was giddy as to that of a child, his feet tapping the floor rapidly as Piers and Connor munched on their cakes. Once they got there they joined a group of other tourists as a person leading the group, telling the ancient histoires of Glasgow cathedral. Connor and Piers watched as Carson happily scribbled down notes of information provided by the group leader, scribbling them down at a very fast rate.

The three continued to explore around Townhouse, walking among a crowd of people bustling with life. Carson wanted a chance to see the Provand’s Lordship, a medieval historic house museum, a house dated back in the 1900s. Piers wasn’t too keen on doing another historic tour, but when Carson gave him the puppy eyes, he finally relented. They took another bus to the house area and got off. There weren’t many people there so the three of them didn’t have to worry about overcrowded spaces. Luckily for Piers, the tour wasn’t that long since not many people were that interested in the old time museum beside some college teenagers and Carson, himself.

As the day grew dark, it was soon time to head back to the hotel. They took multiple buses to reach their destination. Connor and Carson were drowsy when they got off the bus, the two drifting off to sleep on the buses, while Piers had to be in charge of keeping an eye out for their stop. He had to kick the two lads on their legs since his hands were full of his and Connor’s bags, making sure they don’t fully fall asleep.

They met up with the girls, who in turned were equally as tired and barely fighting yawns.

Piers had to be in charge of leading four tired adults back to the hotel without one of them slamming against a lamp post or heaven forbid a brick wall. It was a struggle but they managed to get to the hotel in one piece.

He got their keys and headed upstairs, personally leading them to their rooms safely before heading to his own. He dropped his bags unashamedly and flopped down on the bed.

He didn’t bother to take off his hoodie and shoes, I take them off later, he thought aimlessly. However, he should've known better since he one heavy ass sleeper.
