Summary
After a drunken night, Iris Moore and Peter Parker are faced with a dilemma neither of them expected. Trying to juggle graduating high school, avenging, and impending parenthood is one journey neither of them were ready for. Will it bring them together or drag them apart.   (I'm not very good at summaries)
Note
I wrote this like a one-shot so I'm trying to divide it into chapters the best I can.If there is a trigger warning I will put it at the beginning of the chapter.

Its A.....

Peter and I tried to not be suspicious for the next few weeks which was proving to be a challenge. Bucky had been trying his best to avoid us at all costs. I wasn't sure why entirely though. I wasn't sure if it was because he still had those 1930’s ideals in his head or if it was because he didn't feel good about lying to the rest of the team. We all knew that he was the best at keeping a secret but that didn't mean he liked keeping the said secret.

I'm 89% sure that Nat knew what was going on. She was watching me much closer than she usually does and has asked me multiple times why I have stopped drinking coffee and why I was so weary of the sandwiches Sam had made last week. I wouldn't be surprised if she had figured it out.

Tony had also become increasingly suspicious. Mostly because Peter had been trying his best not to let it slip while they were in the lab. He wanted to tell him. He wanted to tell him how he secretly bought a newborn onesie for when he was born. He wanted to tell him that he was thinking about names almost every day since the first ultrasound and that Anthony was at the top of the list. Tony could tell that Peter was different somehow. He just couldn't put his finger on why. I wasn't even a thought in his mind though so that made it easier.

Bruce was on our trail, however. Working in the lab with Dr. Cho didn't help with that. Steve and Sam were completely clueless.

During the 16-week ultrasound, it was confirmed that there was a boy growing in there. Peter was elated. I hadn't seen him like this before.

“I'm going to have a son”. He said the biggest smile plastered on his face.

“Wanda owes me a 20”. I said.

“Wait Wanda knows?”.

“Pete, Wanda can read minds. Of course she knows”.

“Oh yeah. Iris I still don't know how to thank you for this”.

“Just make sure this little one gets all the love he deserves and I think we will be square”.

Dr. Cho printed off more pictures before we went our separate ways. Peter went to the lab and I went to the living room where Wanda, Vision, Bucky, and Nat were all hanging out.

“Hey Wanda”, I said while I sat down, “you owe me a 20”.

“Really!”. She said excitedly.

“Why does Wanda owe you 20 dollars?”. Nat asked.

“Oh, just some stupid bet we made”.

Nat did not seem satisfied with that answer but went back to what she was doing anyway.

Another month had passed without us telling the other Avengers. Peter had been accepted to MIT but had denied his acceptance already. Of course, no one knew that yet either. I had been accepted to NYU so I would be close if anything were to come up with the team. Or the baby I guess. Peter and I were sitting in his room just chatting about names. I told him it was up to him what he was called but he was adamant that I was at least in the conversation.

“Ok so I have Benjamin and Anthony at the top of my list. I also like Issac, Louis, and Max”.

“Those are all really solid”.

“Well Benjamin and Anthony are family names of course and the latter three are all inspired by scientists”.

“I'm not surprised”. I laughed.

“What about you? Any ideas? What about any family names?”.

“Well, my dad's name was Luke. Oh god, I haven't even thought about my parents in all of this. Especially my dad. He died suddenly and then I moved here. It's been such a whirlwind. I think he would have supported my decision but he would have been so mad he wouldn't be able to be a grandpa. He used to do this thing where if I was upset he would turn on my favorite song super low and start dancing and being just the biggest goofball and continue to turn the music up and get more extravagant until I joined in. You would have loved him. He was such a dork”. I started subconsciously rubbing the small bump that I had.

“Uncle Ben would put on Star Wars reenactments when I was upset. They were horribly acted but it never failed. I think my uncle and your dad would have been friends”.

“For sure. Is that why Star Wars is such a huge comfort to you?”.

“Yeah. It's one of those things that keep me close to him”.

We sat in comfortable silence for a minute before going back into the list.

“So Luke…any other family names?”.

“My grandfather's name was Eugene but please don't name your son Eugene”. I laughed.

“Noted”. He laughed.

“When I was little I had a friend named Quinn and he had cancer. I remember going to his funeral and going full My Girl like he can't see without his glasses. So Quinn is another name I hold very close to my heart. I like the name, Milo. Milos just seem like cool people. So do Averys”.

“Milos do seem like cool people. It kind of reminds me of a more masculine May”.

“It does”.

I felt something I had never felt before and I let out a small gasp.

“Oh my god is something wrong?”. Peter was by my side immediately.

“He's kicking”. I laughed and grabbed Peter's hand to place it where he was.

“Wow. Hearing the heartbeat has nothing on this”.

“It's really weird. It's like he's swinging in there or something”. I joked.

“Do you think he'll have my powers or yours or a little bit of both?”.

“I have no idea”.

“This is so cool”. He whispered.

We stayed like this for a while before it was time to have dinner.
