Looking Through New Eyes [Sequel to Better Than You]

It was going to be a long walk to the Ark for the group, expect for (Y/N) since she was sitting on her cloud while floating beside them. "You know, I don't think I've ever walked this much in my life," Loki said. "That's a pretty good life." "Really lucky you missed it." (Y/N) was about to give him his own cloud to sit on, but he kept his attention on Sylvie. "Here's an idea," He suggested. "What if you enchanted me and you could walk for both us? Or I take a nap in my subconscious, and then you could just wake me when we get there. Yeah?" "Yeah, that's not how enchantment works," Sylvie answered. (Y/N) laughed, "I could just make you something to sit on like mine if you want." "Oh no, it's fine. Anyway, how does it work then?" He brushed her off quickly. She felt a bit hurt as Sylvie glanced back at her in concern.

Sylvie looked over at Loki, "Doesn't matter." He pressed on about it, "You know, I feel like I've told you so much about me. I really don't know the first thing about you. I just need to know that I can trust you." She thought on it for a bit and took a deep breathe, "Fine, you want to know how enchantment works? I have to make physical contact and then grab hold of their mind. For the stronger ones, I-" "Have to create a fantasy from their memories to preserve the connection?" (Y/N) finished for her. She raised her eyebrow at (Y/N), "...I use a very similar method at times when fighting." Sylvie chuckled at that, looking back at her, "How similar?" "The going into said person's mind part. I just don't have to touch them if I have the right amount of energy and focus, able to see into their darkest fear or regret to use against them." Just from looking at Sylvie's expression, she was getting a bit closer with (Y/N).

Loki scoffed with a playful smile, "And you call me a magician." That was when Sylvie started to reminisce. "That young solider from the TVA, her mind was all messed up. Everything clouded. Had to pull out a memory from hundreds of years prior, before she even fought for them," She sighed. "Wait...fought for them?" (Y/N) questioned. Loki joined in, "Before she fought for them??" "Yeah, just a regular person on Earth. Loved margarites," Sylvie stated. (Y/N) looked over at Loki with a shocked face, "They're all variants..." Before any of them could ponder even more on it, a voiceover arose from the city in the distant about the launch being in 10 minutes. (Y/N) took charge and created a 'passenger seat' for the other two to pull behind her while flying quite fast towards the city.

Landing at the entrance, they all quickly walked in to see chaos ensuing all around them. "Do we trust each other?" Sylvie asked the two. Loki responded, "We do and you can." There were guards trying to keep all the people from getting even close to the Ark. "We have to get on and make sure it takes off," Sylvie yelled to them. Loki looked over at (Y/N), "Can't you fly us up into the Ark or something?" "I've already used too much energy to get here, plus with the planet getting closer one of the rocks might knock me off course while flying." He sighed. Sylvie pulled them both so they would try to go around to get onto the Ark. Fires raged on, screams were heard, and chaos ensued as they ran around people. Then it all went silence with giant cracking sound, the planet was cracking open and causing more to meteors to fall around them at a faster and more destructive rate.

Everyone started to scream and run for cover, the group even got knocked back by one, causing them to pick themselves up and keep running around. On the way, multiple guards tried to stop them on their path, but they were easily taken down anyway. It seemed to never stop, everything going up to the maximum level and emotions on a full on high as they could simply just keep running. Some of the meteors even fell into the skyscrapers, getting so close to falling on them. (Y/N) was about to push it back, but Loki got to it before her and used some of his telekinesis to put it back. She smiled at him a bit, and quickly went back to running behind Sylvie.

The gate was right there, behind a large group of guards. There wasn't much time to waste, so they went in guns blazing. (Y/N) being heavy handed but swift with her movements was the closet to gate until....the plan failed. The Ark was destroyed, bringing a mournful and sorrow filled silence amongst everyone the looked upon it. There was really no way off this rock, was there? Sylvie's footsteps could be heard walking away from the other two as Loki looked over at (Y/N). "You could create a portal to get us out of here." "What?" She looked over at him in confusion. He sighed, "Can't you open a portal in some other time so we can...I don't know, live?!" Her eyebrows furrowed, "One, raise your voice again and you won't be speaking for the next decade. Two, even if I could I don't know where I am. Imagine riding a horse blindfolded, sure you know how to work it, but you still don't know where the hell you're going."
