I Just Want You To Be Okay

"On the subject of love, is there a lucky beau waiting for you at the end of this crusade?" Just keep smiling for them. (Y/N) looked to Sylvie with her eyebrows raised and a smile. "Yeah there is, actually. I've managed to maintain quite a serious long distance relationship with a postman whilst running across time," She teased. (Y/N) chuckled, "You know, I almost took you seriously there." "With charm like that, who could resist?" Sylvie started to get more quiet rambling on, but quickly came back to change the topic to Loki. She asked, "What about you? You're a prince. Must've been would-be-princesses or perhaps.....another prince?~" He froze with a smirk, glancing over at (Y/N) for a slight second and (Y/N) looking away to drink once more. They didn't think Sylvie caught that, but of course she did. "A bit of both," He said. "I suspect the same as you. Just nothing ever..." "Real?"

(Y/N) heart felt a ping of hurt from that, but she kept telling herself that he hasn't had the years with her like other Loki's. It's gonna be okay. The tension was getting a bit heavier, so Sylvie tried to joke to keep it light. "Love is mischief, then," She smiled. He stared at her for a moment, swallowing hard. (Y/N)'s body instantly went to get up and go to the bar, that stare was something else entirely. Her mind was starting to swirl a bit, but she pushed it to the back for now because it doesn't matter. It never will. (Y/N) soon came back with another full glass, sitting down on her cloud.

"You do realize that we're about to try and hijack the power source to a civilization's only hope? It's not going to be easy," Sylvie warned. "We should rest," She added on. Before Loki could get a grip on his glass once more, (Y/N) took it from him quickly. She smiled, "And maybe slow down on the drinks. I can see in your eyes that you're trying to get another one." He rolled his eyes at that, "You relax your way, and I'll relax my way." Silence once again sat on top of all of them, until Sylvie turned to (Y/N). She smirked, "What about you?" "What about me?" The conversation was now on (Y/N), maybe that wasn't for the best. Sylvie started, "The first time I saw you was back at the fair where I sensed you looking at me from the shadows. I knew you were more powerful than this Loki, but when I was fighting you through that man you were closer to my style of combat. My question is, what was your nexus event?"

She laughed, having quick flashes back to certain death. "Well," She couldn't stop laughing just from holding back tears. "My nexus event was meeting...this guy to my right. After I made a certain large event go into his favor I basically ran from the time police for years to come. I turned myself willingly after...." She looked over at Loki, a sad smile forming. Her eyes then went to Sylvie, "That's how I got here. I'm guessing you have more questions." "I was going to ask about your history with Loki, but I answered that one for myself with that little glance he gave you a while ago," Sylvie sighed. Her eyes slowly went down to her hand for a moment while (Y/N) took a large gulp of her drink. Their hands got closer and closer, until (Y/N) quickly grabbed her wrist tightly to slightly scare Sylvie. "You can't do that shit to Loki," She said quietly. "So don't even think you can get into my head so easily.....please, just....don't." They stayed like that for a moment, until Loki got in it. "Relax, (Y/N).." He said.

After a while Sylvie drifted off to sleep with her head in her arms, while (Y/N) and Loki were left to drink more in silence. That was until (Y/N) kept her eyes forward as she said to Loki, "You should really slow down on the drinks. You know how you get when you drink too much." "And yet you're now on your 8th full glass," He threw it back. They looked at each other, "The difference is that I can handle my liquor, prince~" They laughed for a bit, dying down quickly.

"Tell me about our life before I died," He said. She looked over at him surprised. It gave her a familiar feeling of the past, bringing her a bit of warmth. She raised her hand, close to making an illusion, but something flashed by her to make her stop. "You manipulated him into loving you" Loki could easily tell something was wrong, but she breathed in deeply. "We were close," She started. "I remember the time we were ruling Asgard together, and you made a little garden nook for the two of us. We had the excuse of discussing business, but really it was just me and you in our own little heaven. It was....It was my fairy tale," She smiled to herself. He smiled as well, "That sounds lovely, (Y/N)." "Loki," She turned to him and took away their glasses. "I need you to tell me something. I need you to be completely honest."

"....Whatever happens on this journey, can you please not forget me and what I'm staying by your side for?" "Forget you?" (Y/N) sighed, "I just....I know you have a lot going on at the moment, and I truly get that. You have a tendency to forget that there are people there supporting you, so I saying...please always remember that I am always here for you." He looked her straight in the eyes, listening to every word she said. There was even some tears in her eyes as they kept talking. Her voice got quieter, "I just want you to be okay."
