On a busy Friday morning everyone was gathered together for a training. They had to have it outside because the training floor had been previously destroyed under unknown circumstances.
Ahm Steve and Thor raging at the equipment and the walls and the ceiling somehow.
Natasha insisted they have a "One on one combat session" and surprisingly no one complained. That was until the team found out just how hot it is outside.
Steve still said that they must roll with it .So the did.
Tony had Jarvis randomize who was partnering with who so there was some element of surprise.
"The list is:
Black Widow and Iron man
Hawkeye and Thor
Doctor Strange and Captain Rogers
Doctor Banner and Black Panther
And I have given myself the liberty to cross out miss Maximoff and Sam Wilson off without asking first .It's a request made by miss Maximoff. She said and I quote " it's about my powers,, ."
The AI announced.
Sam looked disappointed. "Then what am I supposed to do?"
Stephen got up from where he was sitting on the ground. "We can switch I can't do combat anyways. "
Rogers scoffed "Are you scared ?"
Stephen looked behind Steve at Tony who was slightly shaking his head in disapproval.
"It's because of my hands,Captain. I can't land much more than a punch before I break a bone."
But then Steve suddenly looked...ashamed?
"Right. I'm sorry. "
Natasha and Tony stared at him in pure disbelief.
"I'll switch with the good doctor, no big deal"
Sam said obviously not sensing the tension filling the air.
"OK then we shall begin before it gets even hotter. " T'Challa said suddenly and everyone seemed to snap back into reality.
Stephen sat near Tony and Natasha watching them toss eachother around and throw sarcastic remarks and playful insults.
"I didn't know you were so good at this."The sorcerer commented in the middle of Tony blocking a punch from Nat. He turned around to look at his "boyfriend ".
"You really think so? I mean I've had my fair share of fighting and prac-"
Stark didn't get to finish what he was saying ,before he knew it the Black Widow had tackled him to the ground. She had twisted his arm to an angle he didn't know was possible.
"You should keep your eyes on me, Juliet."
"Why am I Juliet ? " The genius complained.
"I would tell you but I don't want to lose my play buddy. He is right tho you do punch pretty good for a guy that stays mostly in his armor.
Few meters away Steve was starting at them with a soft expression on his face.
"Dude are you with me? Steeeeve!"Sam waved his hand infront of the soldier.
"Right! Sorry!" The caption snapped out of it.
Few hours later everyone was minding their own business . Resting after the training. Most of the Avengers new and old were in the living room area except for specific two.
Stephen and Tony were upstairs in the penthouse planing to do something stupid. They thought it would be funny but that's besides the point.
Tony was laying on the couch upside-down while the sorcerer was floating next to him.
"OK ok how about this. What if we had like a fight?"Stark said while waving his hands in the air.
"A fight? No that's too much...or is it?"
They looked like they were writing a movie that's worth an oscar.
"No it's perfect! I mean couples do fight,right? Plus it will be hilarious to see their expressions ,they think we are doing so good. Especially Nat."
Stephen only hummed I'm response thinking about the idea. Then a smirk appeared on his face.
"You truly are a genius."
They high-fived and went on about with the brain storming .
"OK what if I accused you of cheating?" Asked the doctor , eyebrow raised.
" Nah, that's not like you. I mean-" Tony blushed and sat up in a normal way. "I mean not that I know but you just don't seem like the type to just throw accusations. "
Stephen smiled at the mechanic, he thought this was cute.He thought Tony was cute in general.
"It's sweet you think so highly of me. Maybe you are right this is our first fight .It has to be special. "
"What makes you mad ,doc?"
"Steve Rogers , people wearing vest over a shirt with short sleeves that's horrible and when someone is late or canceles last minute.
"Oh yes ,I know right! Like we already made plans I got dress up and all but I also do that too so i can't really say much. "
The pair looked at eachother and it was like a light switched on.
The living room was filled with quite chartering and laughter but then Stephen and Tony emerged from the elevator. Fake arguing at full volume ,making sure everyone can hear them.
"I told you I don't want to go!" Tony said as he made his was to the coffee machine , Stephen followed behind him.
"What do you mean you don't want to go!? That's not what you said yesterday! We've been planning this all fucking week, Anthony!"
Everyone seemed extremely invested in the whole situation. Even Bruce who usually stays out of drama.
"Oh cry me a river. You'll live." Tony said while turning his back to the team so he can hide his smile.
"You little shit." They agreed that Stephen could cause the biggest scene if he wanted to . It's not real, its all for fun and giggles. "I hate it when you do stupid shit like this! I hate when you just do whatever you feel like and completely ignore how I feel!"
"Easy there doc-" Clint started but was met by a cold glare from both men who were pretty much still trying to look pissed at eachother.
"Right...sorry " Then the archer went quite again.
"It's just a dinner reservation, Stephen! It's not the end of the fucking world. "
"Yes but you've been canceling all of our dates and all the things we were supposed to do. You are always late. You act ignorant and you are the most selfish person I know!"
Strange felt bad for saying that .Even tho it was fake the hurt in Tony's eyes physically pained him. He was definitely good at acting.
"You really think that?" Asked the genius in a hushed voice now.
Literally everyone in the room went completely still. Natasha had a face of shock and confusion on her face and Tony had a full view of it. It was unusual to surprise the Widow so it was weird that such a small argument set her off.
"What-" Stephen's voice cut through the fake tension they've created.
"No of course not. I was just angry of course I don't mean that. I'm sorry" The sorcerer huged the other man and opened a portal directory to Tony's bedroom.
Letting everyone else see the room as well. Steve didn't make any remarks this time but just scoffed loudly instead.
"Staying in is good." Stephen said as they went through.
The couple heard a
"What?!" From Sam and a
"That was all?" From Clint.
Natasha was just standing there still surprised.
The moment the portal closed they started laughing.
"This was the best idea you've had all week."Stephen said while his laugh was dying down.
"Ouch, something as simple as that, you wound me , Gandalf" Tony said while walking off to actually get some coffee because he didn't get to have one downstairs.
"Fake dating you is nicer than I thought it would be." Doctor Strange mumbled quickly.
"What was that?"
"Nothing,hun. Nothing at all."
