Love Is...Power

The smell of leather, pine and the slightest hint of vanilla filled your nose as you hurried your head in the crook of Loki’s neck. The hum of his laughter filled your ears, beautiful you thought.
He had said something that made you two laugh, you two still hadn’t got out of the bed after your previous activities a few hours later. Both of you soaking in every drop of this moment. Thats when you heard sirens blare throughout the ship. You two sat straight up, Hemidals voice rang through the speaker.
“EVERYONE. Stay in your rooms do not come out until we give the all clear.”
With that you two hurried out of bead Loki waving his hand with green shimmer covering your body, you were now dressed in your suit. Both of you ran to where you know where Thor was, the front of the ship.
“There you two are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Thor said as he hurried to the two of you.
“What’s the matter brother?” Loki asked Thor who pointed to the massive glass wall of the ship, there in the shadows was another ship. Three times the size of thew one you were on.
“Holy shit.” You whispered underneeth your breat. Thor looked at you and nodded in agreement. “DO we know who it is?” You asked him and he shook his head. You then noticed Loki want saying anything you looked at him from beside you.
He was silently staring ahead at the ship, his whole body frozen in place. You knew something was wrong.
“Loki, what’s the matter?” You asked placing your hand on his arm to grab his attention. He looked down at you and you could see it. Fear in his eyes.
“I know who it is.” He said faintly, he swallowed and looked back at the ship as he grabbed your hand pulling you close to him.
“Who is it?” Thor asked as he glanced down at your hands then back up to Loki.
“His name is Thanos. He’s a mad titan, he..” Loki trailed off not wanting to finish.
“He’s the one who forced New York…” Thor finished his brothers sentenced. You looked back and forth from Loki to Thor, Loki nodded slowly.
“What’s he doing here then?” You asked panning your head to the ship that was now closer into view.
Loki just shook his head and looks back at the ship.
“We have to keep him off this ship. If he…If he finds out about you Y/n. There’s no telling what he’ll do.” Loki said squeezing your hand tightly.
“What do you mean brother.” Thor asked face scrunched in confusion.
“Thanos’s mission is to find the infinity stones, to make his whole agenda easier. From my assumtion, you draw your power form a stone do you not?” Loki looked down at you.
You nodded softly, you hadn’t known it at the time. But after you were rescued from Hydra, furry told you about the otherworldly crystal you were exposed to. You didn’t know it was a stone, but furry had his ideas.
“The power crystal..I mean stone. Furry was researching the one I was exposed to in Hydra, he said there were others as well.” You said explaining to Loki and Thor. Thor nodded and looked at the ship.
“Well, lets stop him.” He said as Valkarie and Hemidall came beside him.
“Brother. He is strong, we have to be smart about this.” Loki warned as Thor nodded and lead you all to the roof of the ship.
The roof was a helipad of sorts, you could faintly see earth in the background of space. The massive ship opened its doors and a bridge came out meeting the edge of the ship, metal clanging at the contact.
The ship moved a bit causing the ground beneath your feet to shake, you gripped onto Loki who wrapped his arm around your back to keep you steady.
A purple giant along with two other aliens came walking out of the ship and across the bridge. Loki’s grip on your back tightened as he pushed you behind him slowly.
You wrapped your arms around his that was holding you as you peered over it. The three intruders had made it onto your ship, Thanos starring down Loki.
“Didn’t expect to see you here.” His voice rumbled, as Loki’s body tensed.
“You have no place here titan. Leave.” Thor rang back stepping forward. The Hulk right behind him growling. The size of Thanos was now apparent, him and The Hulk were only inches in difference. Thanos just chuckled slowly as he shook his head.
“My place is anywhere I choose. The stones, I sense them.” He replied forming his hand into a fist, the metal glove clinking, you could see. He had three stones glowing in the knuckles already.
“We have no stones.” Thor said as he waved for Hulk to go. The hulk ran over to Thanos as they began to fight. The other two aliens accompanying Thanos charged at rthw rest of you.
“Stay with Y/n, we will handle them.” Thor said as the lighting started to spark from his hands.
“Thor, I can help.” You said stepping out but Loki stopping you.
“No! You cant, if he realizes your power…” Loki trailed off, but everyone knew the ending.
“We will be fine Y/n, stay with Loki. You can’t use your powers, under no circumstances. Do you understand.” Thor ordered and you nodded stepping back to be beside Loki again. Thor, Hemidall and Valkarie all chargers the two.
You watched as Thanos took hulk by the throat at flung him off the side of the ship.
“BANNER!” Thor yelled as the hulk faded into space, you gasped as you covered your mouth. You had to stay back but your friends needed you. Loki help your waist as he stepped back a little further way from the commotion.
The giant blue alien woman Took her Speer and stabbed Hemidal through the stomach sending him to the ground. Valkrie next but not injured as badly.
Thor was then flown back landing right in front of you two he groaned as he tried to get up.
You knelt down to help him up, him using you as support.
“Enough Thanos, this is madness.” Loki yelled at Thanos smiled at him.
“Give me the stones. I know you have them.” He ordered as Loki looked down then over at you. You grabbed his hand and squeezed, him returning the favor. He then Looked up at his brother who was panting and leaning on you a little.
“Brother..” Was all that Loki said as he stared down his brother who nodded.
“No, I need to hear you say it.” He stumbled saying it for only you two to hear.
You looked at him confused as you pulled on Loki’s arm trying to get him to come closer to you.
“I promise brother.” Thor panted nodding at his brother. Loki then nodded as he looked down at you and gave you a look that said it all. He gripped your hand one last time before letting go.
“No. No Loki what are you doing?” You franticly said as Loki began to walk towards Thanos. You started to run towards him to stop him but Thor held you back wrapping his arms around you keeping you in place. You yelled back for Loki who stopped in front of Thanos who was peering down at him.
You stopped, body froze as Loki held out his hand, a glowing blue cube formed in his hand as he heard it out in front of him.
“This is all I have, now leave us.” Loki said as sternly as he could. Thanos held his hand out the cube coming to him, him shattering it in one squeeze all that was left was blue stone that he placed in his glove.
He admired his glove before looking back at Loki who was stood staring. He then tilted his head no taking his eyes off Loki.
“No, No that’s not all. I still feel one more.” Thanos started as he stepped forward only inches away from where Loki stood.
“Thor let me go” You said as you wiggled in Thors grip. All he done was shake his head at you and grip tighter.
“Thor..Please.” You begged as you looked up at him.
“I’m sorry, but Loki knows what he’s doing. He’s delt with him before.
“That is truly the only one we have on this hip. Honest.” Loki said raising his hands up in defense.
Thanos laughed slowly as he shook his head, he then looked back at you and Thor then grabbed Loki by the throat lifting him off the ground.
“NO LOKI.” You screamed as you scrambled to get you of Thors grip.
Thanos looked back at Loki and smirked
“I thought I taught you not to lie to me.” Thanos growled as he gripped a bit tighter on Loki. Loki tried to get out of his grip but to no eval.
You knew what Thanos would do, he would kill Loki then every last one of you until he got the stone. He wasn’t going to stop with just one. You closed your eyes and you let a tear fall, you gripped onto Thors arms that were around you as you let the purple trickle onto your fingers, you throw Thor off of you with a burst of your magic. He scrambled back up and reached for you but you stopped him from going further as you knelt down to the ship below. You let the purple flow through the metal it loosing and trailing up Thor’s feet to his knees and hardening again. He fell over landing on his arm and looked ta you.
“Y/n, don’t.” He said sternly. You let out a sigh as you blinked tears down your cheek.
“I have to Thor. Forgive me.” You said as you stood up and turned to face Thanos who was staring st you intreeged.
You raised your hands in surrender walking closer to Thanos.
“Stop please, don’t hurt him. I beg you. He’s telling the truth.” You pleaded with him as he looked down at you ands then to Loki who was scrambling for a sliver of air.
“I swear, he doesn’t have it. You want the other stone or not?” You said trying to get his focus off of Loki and left him go. You couldn’t let him die, not like this.
“Then where is it?” He asked as he stared you down. You let out a breath and closed your eyes before opening them.
“I have it.” You said simply looking at Loki who was looking at you over Thanos’s hand, his eyes pleading for you to stop.
“Prove it.” Thanos said unsure as he tilted his head to the side waiting for you to do something.
You looked over at Thor and the other who were being guarded by his minions, you looked back at Loki.
“Let him go first. If I show you, you have to swear to me you’ll leave him alone.” You started looking at Thanos who smiled at you, then you quickly looked at Thor who was kneeling there powerless. “All of them.” You finished as you started down Thanos.
He chuckled deeply at your ransom as he flung Loki over beside Thor, him gasping and coughing as Thor grabbed onto him to help him.
“You drive a hard bargain little one.” Thanos said staring at you, he simply waved his hand for you to continue. You nodded as you spread you arms out and let out a breath. You let the energy inside you radiate, your body being surrounded by a purple hazy mist, you looked at Thanpos who was staring in shock.
“I am the power stone.” You said as you let the power fade. Thanos waved his servants over to his side. They walked to meet him stepping behind him as he walked over to you. You froze as he towered over you grabbing your arm. You yelped out at his grip on you as Loki screamed.
“Thanos don’t! Don’t hurt her or so help me God I will hunt you down myself.” Loki yelled back standing up with Thor.
Thanos just laughed at his threat as he waved his hand with the glove, a orange forcefield forming around Loki and the others.
“You won’t do a thing.” Thanos said as Loki and Thor banged on the wall of the forcefield screaming your name. “You know Loki, I didn’t take you as the sentimental type.” Thanos finished as he pulled you to his side looking down at you.
You looked at Loki who looked from Thanos to you, tears formed in his eyes as he watched you helpless.

***FROM THIS POINT ON I WILL BE DOING LOKI POV***

All I could see was Y/n where I was all those years ago. In the grip of Thanos. I couldn’t do anything, not in this cage he formed.
“Any last words.” His voice rang through the void of space. I stared at him then down at Y/n who had tears streaming down her face.
Oh the tears, she didn’t deserve them, they never should be on her face. I banged on the wall of the cell trying to break it down, Thor doing the same.
“Loki.” Y/n’s voice shook. I looked at her, she was staring right into me. I can’t lose her too. “Loki listen to me. I never meant to break your heart. I never meant to make you cry., I won’t let this plane go down, nit yet I’ll do what it takes to make it fly. Promise me loki…” She trailed off as she wiped her tears with her free hand. “Promise me, you got to hold on. Ho;d on to what you’re feeling. Because this Loki is the best thing. The most beautiful thing, alright?” She weakly finished as she looked at me.
Tears fell down my face as I leaned on the cell door. There was nothing, nothing I could do to stop this. I looked down closing my eyes, the teardrops falling into the tops of my shoes. Looking back at her I sighed and nodded.
“I promise. But this isn’t the end. I’ll find you, I swear.” I said barely being able to get over the lump in my throat.
Y/n nodded as she gave a smile through the tears.
“I know you will Loki. I..I love you.” She said, and with that my hear shattered into a million pieces. The very hear I vowed no one would see. I refused to show weakness, knowing it wouldn’t last, but y/n. She melted away the wall of ice I built, and now the veery heart I guarded was broken.
I swallowed, my mouth dry, I let out a breath as I nodded at her.
“I love you too darling,” I said back as loud as I could, but it barely over a whisper.
She smiled and closed her eyes at my words taking it in as the last words she thought shed ever hear me say.
“Well, that was all very sweet. But Loki, don’t you know not to make promises you can’t keep.” Thanos said. I looked at him as I opened my mouth to say something but he cut me off with a soft slow chuckle.
“I’m afraid I’m not taking prisoners today.” He said as a smirk painted along his face his eyes trained on me.
“I told you, you would pay for leaving my alliance.” He finished as he pushed Y/n to the ground. She landed with a thud a yell escaping her as she fell.
“Thanos don’t!” I yelled as he lifted his golden glove of stones. The stones started to illuminate as the purple energy from Y/n started to escape her body.
“NOO!” I screwed as I tried to break down the wall to get to to her. To swap places, to stop this. Lighting strake after strike, and magic blast the wall never wavered.
Y/n yelled out in pain as her power was being stripped. And I had to watch.
The last of the power stones energy left her body forming the stone in his other hand. Y/n fell to the ground barely able to lift her head, her getting weaker by the second.
Thanos placed the purple stone in his glove with only one more space left to fill. He smiled at me as he wiggled his fingers to get acclimated to the power.
“Well, this was all fun. But I must be on my way to earth. I need the last stone.” Thanos said as he waved his hand the forcefield glowing brighter as he lead his followers back to his ship.
The forcefield stayed up until he was back on huis ship and they were gone.
The cell walls faded causing me and Thor to fall to the ground. I looked up at Y/n’s body. Maybe it wasn’t to late, maybe I still had a chance.
I scrambled over to her, kneeling down beside her. My hands shook as I reached out to hold her. I lifted her into my arms.
“Y/n? Y/n please, wake up.” I begged as my tears fell onto her cheek. Her body limp and still. She still looked so beautiful, so peaceful. But that peace wouldn’t come to me, ever again. She was gone. I lifted her closer to me as I rocked back and forth on me knees. The tears and sobs overflew, I couldn’t keep them at bay anymore.
“Loki..” Thor whispered after a few minuets as he knelt down and placed a hand on my shoulder. But everything else didn’t matter, it never would. I sniffled and looked up, the ship now disappeared into the distance, you could see earth in the background of the starry blackness. I would find him, and end him. If it’s the last thing I do.

I sat there, her hand in mine. She laid on the bed while we flew through space towards earth, to bring her home.
“Well, I found a way to send a call to Tony. They know were coming. We will let the people off in Norway before coming to the tower with…” Thor trailed off not wanting to finish the sentence. I looked up to him, tears still in my eyes, but I knew they were blank. I felt nothing but sadness and revenge.
Thor looked down and sighed. He walked over to me sitting down beside me on the couch beside the bed. 
 “Hemidal is gone. Valkarie is recovering. The people are safe. Thats what she would have wanted.” He said as he leaned on his knees not looking up from the ground. He finally looked at me, I could see him from the corner of my eye. But I couldn’t take them off Y/n. I rubbed her soft cold hand with my thumb.
“It will be a few hours before we got to earth. You should rest.” Thor said looking at me, I raised my head to look at him, I was about to say something when I felt Y/n hand get warm. I turned my head fast standing up at the side of the bed.
“What is it brother?” Thor asked standing up following me to the bed. I couldn’t explain it but it felt as if her hand, her body was vibrating and then as fast as it begun her body dissolved into a grey dust.
My eyes went wide as the mass in my hand disappeared, my weight fell onto the bed with my hands. I looked up to Thor who was staring just as shocked.
“What the hell happened?” I asked shakily, he looked at me and shook his head.
