The Worst Is Yet To Come

Tony jerked awake, and surveyed his surroundings. He was in a cave, chained to a table. Deja vu came over him, and he ripped at his bonds. He was unable to loosen them, even a bit. He remembered one of the Outriders knocking him out with a rock, and he felt a pain in his head surface through the numbness. He looked at himself, and saw he wasn’t bloody, as he had expected to be. He looked normal, except his Iron Man suit was gone. Thanos must want to torture Tony himself. He saw his arc reactor was mostly intact, glowing, and he sighed with relief. He lay there with his head up, and looked at the door.
There was a woman standing there. She had red hair, and was wearing a skintight black suit. Tony assumed she was one of the weird ladies that Thanos had on his side. She looked quite pale, and she suddenly sneezed. He laid his head back down, as a pain surged through it. He shut his eyes and a wave of dizziness fly through him, even though he was lying down.
The woman walked over to him, and his eyes flew open. “What are you doing?” He asked.
“I was trying to make sure you weren’t unconscious again.” She said. Her voice sounded congested, and she turned away from him to sneeze.
“Are you alright?” He asked her.
“Yeah, I’m good.”
“Are you sure you should be here? I mean, if you’re sick, shouldn’t you be off duty?”
“I’m not sick.” She said quickly.
“Ummmm….. Okay.” Tony said. “Soooo….Don’t you want to beat me up, or is that for Thanos to do?”
The woman gave him an odd look, and she said, “Thanos, of course. Not that I’d ever beat you up, Stark.”
Tony thought that it was a bit odd that Thanos’ employee should be talking to him like this, but he ignored it. He felt nausea come over him, not like he was going to throw up, but like he was going to pass out. “Okay, can you just leave me alone for a little while, and tell Thanos to, also, so I can pass out in peace?” Tony’s eyes drooped shut, and he lost consciousness.
