It was nine in the evening and the sky would’ve had thousands upon thousands of stars in the sky if it weren’t for light pollution. The bustle of the night was as lively as ever, it was a break day and the 141 thought that it would be a good idea to head over to a nearby bar to have fun for the evening after minding their own business in their own dorm or the barracks the rest of the day. As relaxing as it was, a little boring too.
They invited some of the KorTac crew to join them. Few were able to tag along, even dragging a pair of medics just in case a bar fight would ensue and injuries need to be tended to.
Once they were in, most of them went to their own booths and some sat by the bar stool to just drink then to socialize with the others.
Captain Price sat in one of the booths as they watched Gaz, Soap and Cypress play darts, Ghost was in the same booth just in the darker corner so that he could drink without anyone noticing him lifting up his mask.
Cypress, being the best sniper in the KorTac crew, never missed a bullseye, even intentionally almost missing Soap by half an inch by accident. He was laughing for the first few seconds until Soap suddenly started to chase him.
Vance already had a small bottle of wound disinfectant and some bandages beside his choice of drink as he watched Soap chase Cypress around. Estimating that there is a small chance that a dart will be thrown as revenge if Gaz, who was leaning against Vance’s chair, doesn’t interfere in the next five minutes.
Robyn and Juara were arm wrestling by the bar, the one who loses buys the whole crew a drink. So far, Juara was struggling and Robyn keeps teasing him by making him seem like he’s going to win, but goes straight back to square one. Horangi was rooting for Juara the best he could.
Nimbus watched from outside quietly in amusement as she sipped on her third beer for the night with her Border Collie, Cooper, and Ghost’s dog, Riley, who weren’t allowed inside. She’d rather sit outside and watch Riley for Ghost since he could only trust her with Riley.
She silently basked in the city ambiance and spectated through the window pane. As pathetic as that might sound, it was rather peaceful for her. Cooper and Riley were content lying down by her feet as she scratched their heads every now and then. Every 15 minutes or so, Ghost would come outside and sit across from Nimbus to check on Riley. Maybe chat for a while as they admired their own significant other from afar.
Giulia and König were sitting on the other side of the bar and they were in their own little world. König was sipping his water from a straw that went under his hood while Giulia downed their fourth glass of Bloody Mary.
Safe to say that Giulia was pretty hammered, he kept slipping into Gaelic every few sentences which confuses König, but it also amuses him.
Giulia had to go to the bathroom for a while leaving König for a while. König was a little antsy after Giulia had been gone for five minutes but he shook it off. He kept sipping on his water whilst looking around the bar, obviously there were other patrons around which he did pretty well with not making eye contact with, just analyzing each person for a few milliseconds before his eyes darted over to another booth.
König felt an uneasy sensation like he was being watched. He couldn’t help but dig his nails into his wrist nervously and muttering silently for Giulia to hurry up.
He was staring into his glass when he heard the seat beside him creak, he looked up expecting Giulia but was met with a totally different person. A young noirette with an unnatural
hourglass body, definitely had plastic surgery or something, wearing a black skimpy dress with jewelry glimmering in the dim bar lights.
“Alone handsome?” She purred leaning against the counter, pushing Giulia’s glass of half empty Bloody Mary. “Uhm, no actually, I’m with my partner. And you are in their seat,” König leaned slightly away from the stranger. “Ooh, not from around here are you? What a charming accent, German, right?” The noirette leaned closer to him which definitely alerted his red flag alarm.
“Austrian, actually," König corrected sharply, he gets annoyed when people assume his nationality just by his accent sometimes. " Er, look, I’m sure you’re a nice woman and all-,” He doubts his claim so very much, “But whatever you have to offer I am not interested,” König said sternly.
The woman pouted batting her eyelashes, “Oh come on now, I haven’t even said anything~”
“I don’t need to hear anything,” König narrowed his eyes and looked away feeling irritated.
“Listen-,” The woman stretched out a hand to touch his arm. König could feel the uneasiness rise in the pit of his stomach as if he could sense the hand nearing him. “Why don’t we start ove-!”
In a flash her wrist was gripped tightly. König looked over his shoulder quickly as the woman looked up at the one that grabbed her wrist. König’s eyes softened with relief when he saw Giulia staring straight into the woman’s soul. “Is this woman bothering you,” Giulia turned to König with a gentle caring face. “A little, yes,” König mumbled, ignoring the offended look on the woman’s face.
“Now what’s with that face hm? Expected him to say ‘no’?” Giulia turned back to the woman. “Tch, and who are you?” The woman scoffed. König cringed at her attempt to act tough. “Who am I? Weird, didn't he say that he was with his partner?” Giulia made a quizzical look and tapped his finger on his chin as if he was in thought. “Yes, and-” “ ‘Yes, and’? Did you really admit to hitting on a guy who clearly stated that he was taken?” Giulia cut her off with an excited grin.
“Why’s that bothering you anyway?” The woman glared trying to free her wrist but Giulia kept her wrist in place in the air. “Why’s that bothering? Oh, you didn’t actually think I had no relation with this man and I was merely defending him, now did you?” Giulia chuckled, covering his face with his free hand. “Haaa, you’re funny lady,” Giulia dragged his palm down his face with a hearty sigh.
He fixed his disheveled glasses, pushing it up his nose once more, before he rested the tips of his fingers on his chin and scanned the dumbfounded and shaken expression of the noirette. König was very much love struck over his savior right now, resting his head on his propped up elbow.
“Okay, okay I’ll give you a hint, to help that rotting brain of yours lady, uhm, lets see. Oh! The hint is the mention of the word ‘Relationship’ darling, think real hard for a minute now,” Giulia taps the side of his head with his index finger in thought. The woman actually took a second to think properly before her eyes widened. “You’re his partner?!” She practically shrieked.
Heads began to turn their way. “Ding ding ding, we have a winner!” Giulia cheered. “Haha! Now you know, who I am to him, you’d better-” Giulia was quick to yank the lady by her wrist to stand on her feet, practically twirled her around before letting her go and dropping into his rightful seat.
“Back off,” Giulia glared, an arm wrapped around König’s hips. The noirette took a moment to compose herself, biting her tongue from spitting out a slur when she realized there were eyes on her. She grunts angrily before she turns on her heel and sashayed elsewhere. Giulia had a satisfied smirk and turned around properly and wrapped his other arm around König’s hips again.
He turned to the hooded man who’s eyes were hidden from the lighting. “König, I’m sorry for taking so long, I-!” Giulia was suddenly pulled towards König and engulfed in darkness. It took him a moment to realize that he was under König’s hood, with König, and was being kissed. Giulia hastily kissed back and wrapped his other arm around his hips.
“It’s okay, mein lieb. I’m just glad you came back in time,” König murmured, their lips still brushing against each other.
“Heh, yeah, my bad…” Giulia snickered.
“What were you doing in the bathroom for so long anyway?” The Austrian asked. “Oh, right, I was just taking a potion to help me sober up. I almost felt like blacking out at the time that’s why I excused myself to the bathroom,” Giulia explained.
“Ah, I see. I’m also glad I wouldn't have to carry your unconscious body back to the car. Someone might call the cops because of my appearance,” König jokes. Giulia couldn’t help but snort at the statement. “Oh Kö, I love you, you know that?” Giulia cups König’s face. “Ich liebe dich auch, Juwel,” König hummed. Giulia chuckled before he leaned in and kissed König again.
They kissed for a moment before they heard Robyn calling out to them to ‘Get a room’.
Giulia had to get out of König’s hood but promised more kisses later. Their hands rested atop one another as they finished their drinks before Horangi came over. “Hey love birds, sorry to interrupt but Price just said that we should head back,” Horangi sat beside König. “Awe man, already? It’s only 11:30,” Giulia whined.
“Yeah well, Robyn got pretty hammered from abusing Juara’s loss from the arm wrestling match and Ghost and Nimbus need to get their dogs back to base,” Horangi pointed out to Robyn who was passed out in a booth where Vance and Nimbus were helping them to their feet.
“Yikes, yep, we should go,” Giulia got up to help Vance.
König paid for their drinks and made his way back to the crew. “I’ve never seen Giulia do something like that before,” Gaz said as he walked beside König. “Nor have I,” Horangi chuckled. “A bit dramatic of him, no?” Nimbus joked. “Nah, that’s what a real partner should do. Instead of just scaring one person away, you show everyone that they belong to you, and you only,” Soap defended the oblivious medic who was preoccupied.
“You’re pretty lucky you got someone like Giulia huh König?” Soap elbowed the giant. König sighed lovingly, “He’s meine Juwel,” A few of them rolled their eyes while a few awed at König’s swooning. It seemed everyone had a fun night from the little spectacle Giulia put on.
