Chapter 19
Something set in EVO. Based on a fic I did where Kitty sort helps out the Brotherhood and Kurt, who works for his mom, sees this odd scene. She dated Lance here but is brief (as fun as it is to bash or make Lance the bad guy...no need to do this)
Wasn't something she planned or ever imagined doing. It sort of happen so naturally she wonder if she was under the effect of some mind control- unlike as it is- and all begins when she sees Lance and his group at the far side of the canteen eating something that was once considered food.
That particular scene opens door for her past. Kitty used to eat alone and people ignored the "lil miss know it all" as she was wrongly label.
She could have ignored, the others are doing just fine, but Kitty can't help to remember that one time she had to eat in the bathroom because her bullies were looking for her. Wanted to throw food on me...and they don't have much to eat... totally different situations.
Rose from her seat and goes to where Lance and his group are. She deposit the rest of her food. "Huh, care to share?"
They look at the food cautius as if she had poisoned. I wouldn't do that....have they taste poison before? Lance barks how he doesn't neef charity. Pietro says something about break up and something equally dumb and maybe a tad sexist.
"Not charity, solidarity. Don't like to see you guys starving" is her response and she left.
It was to be one time thing. Sure Mystique would step in and offer them better food and conditions. She was sure of this.
Next day happens and Lance and his group have nothing to eat.Kitty can't ignore it even if Scott is glaring at her.
The arragement evolve to help with food to anything else. Prof X seems delight with the possibility and allows Kitty to be near the group- her inquiries about bad mutant and good mutant is ignored by Prof X- and Scott Summers is still not aboard with such idea.
"Come on?" Kitty pleads making such puppy face. The young man is crossing his arms and pinches his nose.
"Fine...but I'm not happy and the moment I sense this is dangerous, you're out. Got it?"
"Yes!"
Scott is not shy to say he is not enjoying such arregajament. Prof X informed him how Mystique is gone and she rarely cares for those left behind. Jean is the one to snap out of his thoughts.
"You sure act as the big brother of the group"
"'In a couple years, will be the dad of the group"
"Scott...wanna tell me something? Are you expecting?"
"Har har, you're hilarious, Jean"
"I Know"
To say the Brotherhood was surprised by such situation would be minimal. Yet, Kitty is helping with what she can. "Huh, what happened to the chandeleir?" And Pyro is happy to share the tale of how his powers can burn even a chandeleir. "Ok...huh, lets stop burning chandeleir"
They make an effort to clean the house. Again, the best they can and Kitty lost any minimal respect she could have for Mystique once she sees the room she was in. Why is she like that? She uses people and throw them away?
The group, each one offering a small of proof or just tale, where Mystique is.
Pff bet she is smuggling some rich asshole. Hey, she could have been doing this since the get go. Maybe she meet some prince, count or whatever as a pretty blonde and is living in luxury.
The Xmen aren't exactly sure what to think of the Brotherhood now. Are they the enemy still? Kitty feels she break something. What I broke? I just offer food. Their fridge was empty. The brotherhood is not close to be the model mutants but there slightly changes- emphasis on slighlty- that are noticeable.
Especially by principal Mirage. She frowns as she sees Kitty- in the court yard- saying something to Toad and the mutant is obey with some relutance but still doing.
Principal Mirage is not fond of this.
"I want you to take care of a situation for me" she said for the pair of golden eyes in the dark corner of her office.
Kitty Pryde is on a mission. A organization is targetting mutants and Scott assemble a team to stop them. The fight happened as it should, victory for the Xmen and all seems well. Scott asked Kitty to retrieved some of the guns used so Dr. MCcoy could analyse better.
Kitty is supposed to do that. Instead, she sees a blue, furry man, with golden eyes and a tail staring at her.
"Hi?" Kitty said unsure. What you say to the demon facing you? and he has a big sword...oh boy.
The azzure mutant stares at her as if trying tk decipher her very soul. He vanish in a bamf and Kitty wonders if that was ever real or not.
Next day, Kitty is on the classroom coping some words without paying much attention, zoning in and out, until someone enters in the classroom. A student from German as the teacher explains. His name is Kurt Wagner.
He is staring at Kitty. Wait to me or to the fans behind?
He is starint at Kitty in the same vein as the blue demon did.
"Hallo, kann Ich hier sitzen?" Asked in obvious german accent. Which makes the girls in the back sigh fondly. He points to the empty desk next to her.
"Huh?"
"Can I sit here?"
"Oh sure. Nice to meet you, I'm Kitty Pryde"
"Kurt Wagner, but you know this...I was waiting to talk to you, you're famous" Kurt adds and Kitty titled her head. Huh? He chuckles. "Your essay was really good...won a prize didn't it?"
"Oh right. It was lot of hard working and studying" she replies happily.
Kurt watches her.
Why am I thinking of that blue mutant/demon?
