"What the Hell's a New York?"
“Where is this even? And is that an Alien-?” Jason was cut off by one of the chitauri swooping right in front of him, almost hitting him. Ducking down, protecting Dick against his body Jason began to let out a string of curses.
Above them were tall looming buildings with creatures flying all above them. Half the buildings were partly destroyed and there was debris all over the streets. People were running and screaming all around them with police trying to direct them to safe locations and help them take safe routes.
“What is happening?” Exclaimed Tim in a panicked voice looking around him and observing their surroundings. Tim was internally panicking trying to not let it show on his face even though he knew his siblings and Wally were panicking just as much as he was. Just as Tim was about to speak again a small pain filled groan was heard.
“Dick!” Everyone swarmed Jason and Dick looking extremely concerned. It had seemed as if Dick had woken up due to the noise he made but he didn’t even rouse once. As soon as they saw he wasn’t awake they only grew more concerned but also grew to be upset. Dick not being awake wasn’t a good sign but at least there was some sign of life from the groan.
“Back off everyone, I need to check his head” spoke Jason as everyone listened to his wishes and he placed Dick down on the floor gently but held his head in his lap after he sat down with him and went to check where Dick was hit. Just as Jason was lifting Dicks head there was a sound of engine like things being cut off and metal on pavement an unknown voice spoke up.
“Who the hell are you guys?”
Tony was flying around blasting Aliens left and right trying to defeat them all before going to deal with Loki.
“Sir, I have detected an unknown signature from a warehouse not to far from here” Spoke Jarvis through Tony’s Iron Man suit.
“Okay I’ll go check it out, Loki must have done something with the sceptre again. He might have made another portal but let's hope not” Replied Tony flying in the direction of where the unknown energy came from. When Tony arrived he saw 3 people all in weird costumes standing around another person who was also in a costume which looked more like normal clothes. Just as Tony was about to land he saw the last person in the arms of the most normal looking dude.
“Who the hell are you guys?” Tony asked as he landed which caused 4 heads to snap towards him looking on guard. The normal looking dude shuffled a bit so he was protecting the one in his lap while the other 3 who were standing stood in front of them.
“No, who are you?” Shot back the one in the bright yellow one piece suit.
“I asked you first” responded Tony not wanting to play games with them. “All I get told is that an energy signal came from right behind you guys and I show up to find weirdos in suits. So I repeat. Who are you?”
The people in suits opened their mouths to respond but then shut them not knowing what to say.
Finally a brave one who was holding a bo staff spoke up. “Im Red Robin, beside me are Kid Flash and Robin. The one sitting is Red Hood and the one laying is Nightwing.”
“What the fuck type of names are those? Please tell me your parents didn’t put those on birth certificates because that's got to warrant some bullying.” Snapped back Tony sassily.
“Uh no- Those are our code names when we are in the suit. Now who are you and where are we?” The newly dubbed Red Robin asked.
“Code names? Why the hell do you guys need code names? And what's with the suits? Also you're in New York City.” Tony decided to not answer his first question, thinking the would be stupid to not know who he is. He literally announced his name on live television for Pete's sake!
“New York- Wtf’s New York?!” Finally spoke Red Hood, who was done with all this nonsense. “Listen dude stop with all the questions and the made up city names. We need to go or else Nightwings going to die.”
“Huh made up city? How the hell do you not know about New York?! Also, who's Nightwing again?” Replied Tony incredulous, not knowing how you couldn’t know about New York.
“The one laying down is Nightwing. Now let us leave so we can get him medical attention from Agent A!” Kid Flash spoke, trying to resist the urge to grab Nightwing and superspeed out of there but he knew it was a bad idea as he didn’t know who the man across from them was.
“Sir, I’m not detecting any more energy from behind them in the warehouse. It seems that whatever was running out of power.” Spoke Jarvis.
“Thank you Jarvis, now what the hell was the energy behind you?” Asked Tony to the others who looked at him confused at who he was thanking before Red Robin put on a thinking face.
“Could… the energy have been what brought us here? That meta was throwing energy at us and then next thing you know we were here” Speculated Red Robin.
“Meta? Wth is a meta? Do you mean mutant? And you got hit with an energy blast?” Questioned Tony confused with the situation.
“Tt Idk what a mutant is but a metahuman is someone with powers. And yes we got hit with an energy blast. Is that so hard for you to comprehend?” Replied Robin.
“I think I know what's going on!” Exclaimed Red Robin. “Hoax did say that maybe we will put up a fight elsewhere. He must have had the power to transport people to places! So that’s why we are not familiar with the place and others!”
“That's actually… really smart” responded Red Hood. “You guys don’t have the Justice League do you?”
“What the hell is the Justice League? We have the Avengers. But your theory does sound plausible…” Replied Tony. “I think you guys must be from another dimension then.”
“That makes sense! So we aren’t on Earth 0 anymore! But what Earth is this then?” Exclaimed Red Robin.
Just as Tony was about to ask what they meant by there was more than one Earth, a groan sounded out of Nightwing again.
Jason immediately looked down worried once he heard the ground and put his fingers to Dicks neck to check his pulse and used his other hand to lift Dick’s head to check the injury. Dicks pulse was too slow for Jason's liking. Jason placed Dick’s head back on his lap and he shuffled out from under him, making sure Dick’s head safely met the ground before standing up and picking him up. “Enough chitter-chatter. Dick needs medical attention. Fast.”
The man in the suit of metal that Jason still didn’t know the name of replied. “I can take him to get medical attention but it won’t be right away. I had my suit scan him and as long as he gets medical attention within the next few hours he should be fine. The battle should also be wrapped up within the next few hours. We can’t take him to a normal hospital due to you guys not being from even this dimension so you will need to get medical attention in the tower.”
Jason scowled at that but sighed and nodded his head. “Okay we will wait. But you better be back in two hours or I am taking him to hospital no matter what.” Jason then turned his back on Tony and walked back into the warehouse to wait out the two hours with the rest of the Batfamily plus Wally following him.
