The Fall
“You can't be serious! This suit means everything to me! I'm nothing without this suit!”
“If you're nothing without the suit, you shouldn't have it.”
Peter turns around abruptly. How could he say that. His father, hiding behind his own suit all the time.
“The suit and I are one, isn't that what you said? Why is this different for me?”
Furious, he looked his father in the eyes. After everything, Peter thought that his Dad should understand him best, but it appears that not even his father could relate to him.
“I am a grown-up, kid! You turned 15 two month ago! There is a huge difference!”
Peter was walking through the door, entering the lab. He was mad. How could he forbid him to wear the suit. Tony knew how important this was for Peter.
“Hey! Stop right there, young man! I'm talking to you."
A growl comes up his throat. "But I don't want to talk to you anymore!" He yells.
Anger runs through is veins.
Spider-Man meant everything to him. Helping people, who couldn't help themselves, even if it was just simple as carrying grocery, or something big like the weapon trade, it fulfilled Peter. Giving him something to wake up every day and help him fight his own inner demons. Since Uncle Ben died, the constant guilt was slowly eating him up, but when he was in the suit the first time, standing on the roof of Aunt Mays Apartment, a spark lit up. And for the first time, in a long time, he felt hope. Something to keep going forward for.
"If you take that suit, you're not only taking away Spider-Man away from me! You're taking him away from everyone! Who's going to help the smaller folks? It's not going to be you, isn't it? Not any of the Avengers? Because all you guys care about is the greater picture! How it looks on the paper, but even the Paper hates you guys! There are people out there that needs me, and I need them, okay?"
Peter knew that he was on thin ice, how mad his father gets when he mentioned the accords or anything related to the Avengers now days, he understood his father, but he missed Nat and the others too. They were part of his family, but after everything got down and Steve forgot to tell his father that Bucky Barnes was the one who killed his Parents, he understood that his father didn't want to associate with him anymore.
"Hey! You know that this is not the problem! I don't want to take Spider-Man from you! But you are out there risking your life, even though I told you specifically that I got it under control! You just don't listen, Peter! That's the Problem! You're getting yourself in trouble, and I won't tolerate it anymore!"
Tony walks up to him, pressing the Spider button on his chest.
"It doesn't mean that you can't be Spider-Man anymore, but you have to learn some responsibility."
Earth-1610, The Present
POV Peter
The smell of bacon hit Peter's Nose when he enters the living room area. After they had watched Star Wars, MJ complained that she wanted to choose a film, too, that wasn't nerdy. So they had watched the Dead poet's society, which Peter thought was nerdy too, but he would never tell MJ because she would throw punches. Peter had fallen asleep halfway through the movie and was awoken by Ned, when the movie ended, telling him to go sleep in a bed. Together, they had thrown one mattress on the floor so all 3 of them could sleep in the same room. And Peter had to admit that the steady rhythm of their breathing had helped him fall asleep that night.
Peter could hear, MJ and Ned talking in the kitchen, so he just joined them tiredly, rubbing his eyes. The Kitchen smelled like coffee and breakfast, and somehow it bought a feeling of home to him, even though May or Peter never really drank coffee. He scrunched his eyebrows together while MJ and Ned were busy arguing how to make scrambled eggs the right way. Peter just rolled his eyes at them, sitting down on one of the chairs, next to Ned. He gave them a warm smile, which they returned.
"It doesn't really matter, though, right? As long as it tastes good, I mean?" Peter joined the conversation with ease.
Both Ned and MJ turn around fast, looking offended.
"Excuse me? There is just one way to make it, and that's the right way! You scramble your egg before you put it in the pan!" MJ put her hands on her hips, glaring at Ned.
"What? No! You do it in the Pan!"
Peter giggled as they were bickering while grabbing one of the cups full of coffee. The cup was hot, and a sigh escapes his lips. Usually, he wasn't really a coffee drinker, but today he would make an exception. Eating together, and filling the chairs around the table, made Peter feel grounded and safe. It felt almost like nothing changed at all, Peter was having a regular dinner at Ned's and MJ was staying over. Of course, they didn't share every memory, but talking about useless stuff and compared how much of his life was the same as theirs. He quickly came to realize that a lot was the same, it just started to get different the moment he entered high school. Ned and he didn't stay alone like before, here MJ joined them, making a duo a trio. He seemed to never have a crush on Liz in this Universe, and rather focus on MJ. Both MJ and Peter seemed too shy to talk about it in front of Ned and discussed what they were going to do next.
Peter knew that he couldn't hide from Tony and May forever, but meeting his loved one, that died in his Universe, wasn't something that was on his To-Do-List. He was scared of meeting May. May, who took her last breath in his arms. Or Tony, who sacrificed himself to bring back Peter. Sighing, he took a sip from his Coffee.
"I think contacting Tony or May is not a good idea right now." At the looks of his best friends, he knew that they were about to interrupt him, so he holds up a hand. "I know it's not something I can avoid forever, but Tony and May wouldn't understand. Both of them would be too focused on the fact that they have "Their" Peter back. Rationally, it would be a better idea to contact Doctor Strange." Peter said, looking from Ned to MJ.
MJ sighed. "I understand where you're coming from. I don't think it would be a bad idea to contact Strange."
She smiled at him, putting her hand on top of his, showing him that she supported his decision. Ned seemed unsure about it, though.
"I don't think it's a bad decision either, but If we can't contact Doctor Strange soon, we need to call Tony." declares his best friend, arms crossed in front of his chest.
"Alright. Deal." Peter nods.
Biting in his slice of bacon, Peter thought back to what Doctor Strange had said before he was spiraling around Universes. There was probably no way back from this Universe, maybe he could contact Doctor Strange from this Universe, but the chances of going back would probably be low, considering America couldn't really control her Powers yet. Peter wasn't really ready to consider the Fact of never going back home, so he just shakes his head, gulping some toast down his throat.
"I heard he isn't in New York at the moment, but we could leave a Message at the Institute, right? He has his sling thingy, so he should be able to find me."
"I mean, it's kind of an urgent matter, so he would definitely contact you, even though there was a lot of Damage in Kamar-Taj."
Clearing his throat, the brown-haired boy fumbled with his fingers.
"One more thing. My Web shooters are out of fluid, so I need to refill them, do you have some stuff here I could use? Otherwise, we would need to do a stop at the school."
"Dude, you just fell from a building and had some pretty nasty bruises on your ribs. I think you should stay low until we find Doctor Strange." Ned exclaims, eating the last slice of Bacon that was on his plate.
"It's just a feel safe, I don't like walking around without it. It feels wrong. It's just in case something happens because in my Universe there is always something happening." MJ and Ned still didn't seem convinced, so he added, "I'm going to be careful! I promise."
Ned sighed, slumping back in his seat.
"You better be, Parker," MJ says, punching his arm.
"You left some samples in my bedroom drawer."
"Thanks, man!"
“I can't believe you even suggested swinging to Doctor Strange. Everyone thinks Spider-Man is dead. Trying to avoid Tony but wanting to swing around New York City.” MJ rolled his eyes at him, while Peter just turns red. He admitted that it wasn't his smartest idea.
Walking through the snowy New York City, the trio made their way to Doctor Strange. Back at Ned's house, he had made some new web fluid with the help of some samples that the other Peter had left at Ned's. It wasn't really difficult to make them, but with Ned in the Bathroom, the awkward tension between him and Michelle was kind of unbearable. He tried hard to focus on his task, but always ended up gazing at MJ. They ended up talking a little bit, about the relationship Peter had with MJ in this Universe. Finding out that this Peter had the luck to have MJ so early on in his life, made him a little jealous, but he didn't comment on that. Here MJ had helped him through the Spider bite together with Ned. They were together til the blip parted them and Peter had died in the battle, so they never got to say Goodbye. Peter felt an empty-feeling hearing that, and he just wanted to wrap her in his arms, telling her that everything is alright now and that they are back together, but Ned interrupted them, by joining the table. The opportunity to tell MJ about his Universe and his MJ was gone too, so he just finished the Web shooters.
Now walking through the thick snow, remembering all the dates he had with her, while the snow tried to swallow them whole, Peter regretted not saying anything to her. He made a mental note, to talk to her after finding Doctor Strange.
Shoving his hands deep inside the pocket of a jacket, Ned had given him, he looked around the city. Everything seemed to look the same, but at the same time, things looked quite different than he remembered them. The shop names were different and, in some, people worked that he had never seen there before. The old lady working in the shop below Ned's apartment that had given them free candy sometimes was gone and replaced by a bearded man he had never seen before. Ned had just shrugged when Peter asked, saying that the grumpy old men worked there since he was little. The only thing that was still the same, was his favorite sandwich shop, Delmar's. Which he was glad still remained and wasn't blown up, like in his Universe. It still stood in the same building, and it seemed that this Peter was also into the sandwiches.
Reaching the Sanctum Sanctorum didn't take them too long, they took the subway and walked the rest. His feet were cold, but he was grateful that they weren't wet yet. The Sanctum looked exactly the same, surrounded by buildings it almost looked like it was just an expensive flat. The snow scrunched beneath his feet, while he walked up the stairs. On the big wooden door was a piece of paper, with a messily written note on it.
It said, “On Vacation, only knock when urgent.”
He turned around to look at Ned and MJ, and both of them just shrugged, stepping beside him.
“So do I just knock?” he said, frowning.
“Yes, this is an urgent matter, I mean you traveled through the Multiverse.”
“Here goes nothing.” Peter sighed, knocking on the wooden door.
At first, nothing happened and Peter almost thought about just running off, but then with a loud bang, the heavy door opened. This time, the inside of the Sanctum wasn't full of Snow, and he could see the marbled floor. Warmth surrounded him as he stepped inside, Peter gazed around the room. On his right were two dark brown doors, that were double his height, next to the entry were clothes racks, that were covered with old coats and scarfs, while on the left side were some big plants and trees, covering a big old wooden door that looked a little rotten. In the middle were the big white steps, as he remembered them when he was in the Sanctum of his Universe for the first time.
“This looks so sick, dude,” whispered Ned behind him, while MJ took Peter's hand. Peter blushed and when he peers his eyes at MJ he could see a tint of pink on her cheeks.
A warm feeling unfurls underneath his skin, and he tightens his grip. MJ does the same, which increases the heat in his face. Biting his inner cheek, he inspects his surrounding once again.
“Peter, I don't know about your Strange, but this Strange has quite some Character, so please restrain yourself from saying something stupid,” MJ murmured.
“Believe me, my Strange wasn't the friendliest either. Besides, we are just leaving him a message.” He says, but his voice trembles a little.
Peter is nervous, this was his best shot at going back home, and he knew that some Universes didn't take traveling through Universes lightly. A sudden sound above them startled the three young adults, and they shuffled closer to each other. Peter shoves MJ instinctively behind him, protecting her if his Spider tingle would alert him to any danger. On top of the empty staircase, a red carpet started rolling down the white polished stairs, stopping right in front of their feet. The stairs had now a red carpet laying in the middle, reaching from the top to the bottom. Silence filled the room and Peter looks around for any sign of something living, until he can feel a tug on his Jeans, confused he stares at his feet. The end of the red carpet was pulling on his Jeans.
“Seems like we're supposed to go up the stairs.” Peter assumes, pointing down to the carpet.
“No shit, Sherlock,” MJ commented, walking up the stairs first, avoiding the red carpet. Peter follows her while Ned is still gazing at the carpet, mouth wide open.
“This is so cool, I can't believe that just happened. Magic.” Ned whisper yelled.
Peter just grins at Ned, giving him a thumbs up. He never went upstairs before, Peter had only ever seen the basement, where he had captured all the Villains from the different universes. The brown-haired boy shakes his head, he couldn't think about that now. They had important things to do, and whining over the past would just stop him.
They came to a stop when they stood in front of the door again. It was a normal-sized door, which looked rather boring compared to the ones downstairs. This Time he didn't need to knock, and the door opened on his own, revealing a collection of magic stuff, that was encased in glass. He could see old books, armor that was already rusting, jewelry, and more books. Carefully, the trio stepped more into the room. At the end of the big hall was a black door with golden door handles, that opened immediately when Peter looked at it. Goosebumps spreads through his body, his Spider Tingle alerting him to be cautious.
“This isn't creepy at all,” he whispered to himself, walking past the glass container.
“You find this creepy but not a fucking rug pulling on your Jeans, Parker?” MJ said sarcastically.
Peter rolls his eyes, “Shut up,” he replied embarrassed before he suddenly stopped at the last container. His eyes widen.
“What the fuck.” he murmured speechlessly.
Right before him in the glass container was the infinity gauntlet, with every stone in his rightful place. He furrows his eyebrows. Why were there still here, and not destroyed? Having the infinity stones still intact would bring earth great danger. Anxiety sparks in his chest, filling up his entire body, and suddenly he feels like he swallowed in thick dark liquid. Peter tries to tell himself that these were just fakes, but deep down he knows they're not, which confuses him even more. Something inside him tells him that they are real. He could feel the energy leaping through the glass, calling for him. Telling him to pick it up again. His breath hitched. This thing has taken everything from him, Thanos had taken everything, and now it was just standing here, protected by thin glass. Peter could just simply take it and make everything in his Home alright again, live his Life like it never changed, he could even bring back May and Tony. Morgan doesn't have to grow up without a father, and Peter wouldn't be alone anymore. He could hug May again. His hand stretched out, touching the glass. A surge of Power flows though his veins, but before he can do anything else, he could feel a hand touching his shoulder.
“Peter? Are you alright?” Ned's Voice teared him out of his spiraling head.
What did just happen? Confused, he looked down on his hands. Peter knew that he could never use the infinity gauntlet. It was too dangerous and, bringing back people from the dead, had consequences. A splitting headache grows in the back of his head.
“Sorry, It's just-” He sighs. “Sorry, I just never saw it again after the battle, it got destroyed.”
MJ takes his Hand in hers. “It must be hard for you, seeing it here.” Peter just nods in response. “They keep it here for protection. If someone is attacking earth again, we have something that helps us out.”
“Well, the News said that at least.” Ned added before he puts his Hand from Peter's shoulder.
Peter took a deep breath before he tore his gaze from the golden Gauntlet. He wasn't quite sure why his body and mind reacted that weirdly, shaking his head he spins around, looking at the black door again. His Feet felt heavy, and he felt like he had to drag himself to the door. The red carpet that had led them here, was behind them, rolling himself up. He seemed unpleased with their tempo, and Peter could swear he could hear huffing sounds from it. Squinting his eyes, the curly haired boy tried to see through the dark, but even standing right up front before the opened door, you could only see pitch black from inside the room. Nervously, Peter gave MJ a little squeeze before he stepped inside the dark room. It was silence and the only thing he could hear, was the breathing of his friends and himself. Closing his eyes, he tried to concentrate, scanning his surroundings, but his Spider tingle told him that they were alone. With slow steps, they walked further inside the area. The Doors behind them fell shut with a loud thud, letting Ned jump. Approaching the middle of the room, was harder than he thought, because he kept on bumping into stuff. It was cold, and he was sure that this space must be enormous, because he could hear their steps bouncing from the walls, leaving loud echoes. Beside them, a sudden light begins to flicker. It was a rather small light source that started to breach. The Walls began to shine, and when he looked closer he could see that it was candlelights, hanging from the walls. The Darkness faded, and suddenly they were standing in a dim light. Peter could see now, that he probably bumped into a lot of books on the way, because everywhere he looked, they were books splattered around the floor. The room looked like a big library with shelves and bookcases. Some shelves looked like they would fall into pieces if you touched it, too fragile for the human touch. From the ceiling hung flowers and green, brown vines that curled into each other, and right before them was an old oak desk. It was decorated with even more plants and a globe. Paper was lying around, crumbles that overflowed, which lead to some crumbs on the floor. The chair behind the desk was empty.
“What are we supposed to do now?” He whispered into the room, more to himself than his Friend, but they also just shrugged.
Peter let go of MJ's soft hand, taking a step closer to the desk. The nearer he got there, the more he got the feeling that they were not alone in the room. He looked around, but in the candle dim light was no one to be seen. Peter runs his hand through his hair.
They got long. Peter thought.
Biting his lip, he crouched down, picking up on of the crumbled Paper laying on the floor. Carefully he unwrapped it, but it was empty beside a dark stain of ink. He sighed, putting it back on the already full table. The Moment he touched the dark oak, he felt a shock run through his body. Stumbling a few steps back, he looked around. The darkness had completely faded, and the sun was shining in his face. Peter tries to block it and lifted his hand just to realize that his hands were transparent. Looking down at himself, his brows furrow, confused.
“What the hell.” He murmured, watching his Body was floating in the air.
The cold was erased, and he felt rather hot, like he was sweating buckets. His gaze wanders around, and he realizes that MJ and Ned were gone too, like the room he was just in. Before him were green mountains and old temples. Some had green roofs, while others had traditional red or black ones. They were gray walls around the temples with patterns and statues of dragons. Plants he had never once seen in his life before, were growing out the floor and Peter couldn't stop turning around to see more, before he came to a stop when he recognized the face of the Wizard.
“Doctor Strange?” he asked, but the wizard didn't seem to notice him. He was busy talking to an old woman with no Hair. Peter tried to take a step, but his feet felt like they were sinking into the floor. No matter how hard he tried, his feet wouldn't move a muscle.
“Doctor Strange!” He tried again, this time louder. The dark brown haired man turned around abruptly, looking around wildly. Confused, the older man stepped closer. The bold haired woman cocked her head.
“It seems like someone visited the Sanctum.” She spoke with a gentle voice.
“The Sanctum? But it would never let anyone in.” Doctor Strange said, scratching his beard. “Not without Permission.”
The Woman just smiled and tilted her head once again, her eyes squinting a little bit, before she pointed with a finger directly at Peter.
“It seems that this young boy is in the need of help, and the Sanctum is always open for requests.” Licking her Lips, she stepped closer to Peter. “Tilt your head a little to right Strange, then you should be able to see him.”
Doctor Strange took the advice and tilted his head to the right, and Peter knew Strange saw him the moment his eyes lit up. His mouth opened wide and he shook his head. Stepping closer, the man seemed too stunned to speak. His mouth opened and closed before he stumbled a few words out.
“But this should be impossible. You're dead.” The Wizard held a hand to his heart.
The woman smirked, looking down at the boy. “I don't think that's true, right, Mr. Parker?”
Confused, Peter looked up at her. “How do you know my Name?”
“Let's just say I am really wise old woman.”
Unsatisfied with the answer, Peter turns his Attention back to Strange. The Man seemed still in desperate need of an explanation.
“Anyway, I require your help, Doctor Strange. I accidentally traveled through the Multiverse, and now I'm kind of stuck here. The other you said that it's almost impossible to travel back, but maybe I can contact him, and America can help me go back. I'm sorry that I failed other you, but I just hope that everything worked in the battle against Wanda, I mean it seemed like you did great on your own in this Universe, so my Doctor Strange should be able to do that too, right?” Peter rambled nervously. “Sorry, I'm talking too much! But I would really appreciate your help.”
“You're not from this Universe.” Doctor Strange concluded. Something in Doctor Stranges face fell, hope Peter had almost said.
“No, I'm from a different Universe. One where I didn't snap, Tony did.” Stephen looked like he wanted to apologize, so he just waved his hands. “He wasn't my Dad. I'm just Peter Parker in my Universe.” he said, a little too fast.
Doctor Strange raised an eyebrow at him. Staggering from one Foot to the other.
“I'm not unfamiliar with the Multiverse, but contacting a different me, could be dangerous and isn't something I can do overnight.”
Peter bites the inner side of his cheeks. Of course, he knew that could be difficult, but what else is he supposed to do. If someone was able to help him, it would be Doctor Strange. Tony was smart, no Question. But traveling through the Multiverse wasn't something that he was familiar at.
The bold haired woman smiled, laying a hand on his shoulder. Peter didn't feel the weight of the hand, but it also didn't slice through him.
“They are a few things, that we can definitely try, but for that we need some time, which we don't have right now, Mr. Parker. We are focused on rebuilding the Kamar Taj.” Peter felt his hope of getting home draining. Maybe Peter was not meant to get back home. Peter closed his eyes. This was so exhausting.
“But we will make some Space.” Doctor Strange added, which lead to Peter raising his head. “In 2 weeks I should be back in New York City, till then I'm going to search for some spells. Meet me at the same time, Parker. I know you don't know this me, but I have the feeling that we were close in your Universe too, so I'm willing to help. See you soon, Peter."
Eagerly Peter nodded. “Thank you, Mr. Doctor Strange! For your help, I mean.”
The surrounding colors faded, and the bold woman and Doctor Strange started to disappear into thin air, the mountains, and temples started to blur into each other, and with a loud thud he landed on the floor in the dark room again. Peter could feel the cold tiles on his back, and slowly he opened his eyes, seeing that Ned and MJ were kneeling right next to him.
“Dude, are you okay? You just suddenly froze and no matter how hard we tried to wake you up, you wouldn't respond.” Ned started rumbling. “It was a stupid Idea going here, let's go back home.”
Peter pushed himself up from the marble tiles. “I spoke to Doctor Strange, my ghost was like in Kamar Taj while my body was still here. It was so cool.” With the help of MJ, he stood up, looking around the room. Nothing had changed, it was still dark and creepy, and he wanted nothing more than to leave. “He told me to be back in two weeks, when he was finished with rebuilding everything.”
“So for now, we still have nothing?” MJ notes, hugging herself.
“Yeah, we got nothing, but he seemed willing to help. That's something, right?”
“Did he say anything else?” MJ asked curiously, but Peter just shrugged.
“Not much, just that apparently we got along in this Universe?” He looked at his friends, who seemed as clueless as he felt.
Ned scratched his head. “He wasn't blipped, I think you guys spend some Time together before you left to college, but I'm not really sure.”
Leaving the empty room, let Peter feel safer, and from the reactions from his friends, he knew that they were relieved too. Peter tried to ignore the Infinity Gauntlet this Time, no matter how hard the Power, that kept bashing against the glass, told him to stop. The air was blowing in his face when he opened the entry doors, and a shiver runs down his spine.
Outside, the sun was already almost down and confused, he pursed his lips. It didn't feel like they were out for so long, and the talk with Doctor Strange wasn't long either.
“How long was I out?” Peter asked carefully, seeing how fog slowly filled the streets. His Spider Tingle, sending him signals he didn't understand.
“Not long enough that it's getting dark.” MJ responded, stepping onto the streets.
His Tingle now screaming, that it wasn't safe out here. “We need to go home, now.” He said, anxiety bubbling up his chest. “Something isn't right.”
Before Ned or Michelle could respond, a yell echoes through the fog, that now reached his up to his waist. Peter turns around to the scream, but couldn't really see through the dark. It was silence again, before from the other side of the fog a blood screeching yell interrupted it again. Reacting on his own, Peter pulled MJ to his side, right before something black almost crashed into her. Her breath hitched, looking up at Peter, fear in her eyes.
“What the fuck was that?” She whispered, pulling some loose hair out of her face.
Peter just shook his head. “I don't know! This isn't really my Universe.”
The empty streets were filling with people, running away from something, that they couldn't see yet. MJ, Ned and Peter walked against the mass of people, but it would take them ages to get back home. The earth begins to shake beneath his feet, and he falls to the ground. Loud yelling and cries for help echo through his mind, and he squeezes his eyes shut for a moment. The streets began to crack, and his eyes widen, and as fast as he can, he grabs Ned and MJ and shots a web to one of the street lanterns, pulling them up. Not a second later, the piece of street where they had just laid fell through a hole, that was created by one of the earthquakes. Lava begins to bubble from beneath the concrete. A Young woman, who wasn't as lucky, is now stranded on the platform, screaming for help.
With great power, comes greatresponsibility, Mays Voice echoes through his mind and with one apologizing look to MJ and Ned he jumps from the lantern.
“Mrs. No reason to be scared! I got you!” He yells swinging, while shooting a web, that yanked her up from the floor that immediately broke under her feet. A Loud yell escapes her lips before he is pressed against his body, swinging through the sky, to a safe spot. “Bring yourself to safety, as fast as you can!”
Giving the woman no time to react, he speeds back to MJ and Ned, pulling them down from the streetlights.
“Parker, you better, never do that again-” MJ started but was interrupted by Ned tugging on both of their Jackets. “Guys, Look up.”
Slowly, Peter looks up to the sky. Big gray clouds were seen, forming some kind of Tornado, while thunders roared through the air. Right between the winds clashing against each other and lightnings that were covered with clouds, was a human. Someone that looked awfully lot like someone he knew. Peter froze. This couldn't be true. He was dead. He saw him die. Without further thinking, Peter entered the mist, that covered him from head to toe now.
“Peter! What are you doing?” MJ yelled after him.
But Peter was in his own mind. People were screaming, and crying for help. He felt helpless, seeing the fear in his friend's eyes. Peter knew he said that he would be careful, but he also promised his Aunt that he would do anything in his power to protect people and take responsibility. Biting his lips, he looked down to the floor, which started to crack under his feet again.
“I'm sorry, but I promised myself that I will do anything in my power to never make the same mistake twice,” he yelled over the panicked voices around them, looking MJ straight in the eyes. “So I have to do what feels right.” With that, he disappeared, changing into his suit to fight. His feet and hands tremble at the sight of him. He trusted this Man and gave him the only thing Mr. Stark left behind for him. Of course, this wasn't the same Beck, this Beck didn't know that Peter knew his intentions, how fake he was, but that didn't mean that Peter underestimated him. Beck took everything from him, and because of this man, his life was ruined. Without Beck, no one would have known that Peter was Spider-Man, and he would never go to Doctor Strange, which would lead to the Green Goblin never arriving in his Universe and May would still be alive. Tears gather in his eyes, but he rubbed them away, putting on his mask.
“I can do this,” he whispered to himself, before swinging right at Beck.
Earth 1610
POV Tony
They had just reached the library, when the earth began to break under his feet. The news lady had to position herself right in front of the creature flying around the sky, which Tony thought was really bold of her considering that people were dying right now.
“An Unknown Villain is attacking New York City! Once again, New York City is under attack. A Man is flying around, firing Thunder and Lightnings around town, it seems that even the Police can't help this Time, but Wait! Who is this?"
Tony, May, and Pepper looked up, squinting their eyes to see better.
"Is that Spider-Man?" Someone yelled behind them, and Tony looked up, abruptly to the sky, right there with the man with the fish glass was flying around was something swinging right at it. Tony had never seen the Suit before, but he knew that under that mask was his son. Peter.
