Chapter 12
Pepper Potts stands on a stage, looking over a crowd. She chose every reporter there for this event. Only wanting the best of the best who will respect the wishes of Peter.
"As you know, today we are here for the identity reveal of Spider-Man so that he can sign the accords and become an Avenger." Pepper tells the crowd.
"So we welcome to the stage…" Pepper pauses for dramatic effect, "Spider-Man."
Peter flips onto the stage, creating a dramatic entrance for the people recording and the writers.
"Uhm. So. Hello everyone! I will be honest in the fact that I'm extremely nervous." He giggles anxiously. "Revealing who I am is something I've been thinking about for years."
"How it would affect me, my friends, my family. Now that I'm doing this I'm putting them at risk. Being connected to a superhero is just as dangerous as being one."
"So far in my career as Spider-Man only one of my villains have known it and it ended badly. Having someone hang the ability to track and kill your family is not something fun."
"But in order to help save the world as a superhero. As an avenger. I need to let the world know. It took plenty of countless nights talking to my boyfriend, our friends, my aunt, and my new teammates. We have decided that this is a risk willing to take. And I just want to let anyone. I mean anyone. Who thinks about using my friends and family against me will face the wrath of the Avengers."
"With all of this being said…" Peter reaches up and pulls of the man.
"I am Peter Parker. And I am Spider-Man."
The crowd goes wild, shouting questions.
"At this moment I will not be taking questions. But I will answer select questions on Twitter. #askpeterparker."
