The Day Peter Parker Runs Away (Part 1)
Peter Parker was swinging across Queens, searching for crimes. It has been a dull day. Nothing was happening. No Super villains. No petty crimes. Peter had come early from school because he had to go to the Stark Tower. May let him stay there when she was out of town. He was excited to go back. They had a avengers movie night today. Suddenly, there was a beap.
Peter : Karen, what was that?
Karen : It's from Mr. Stark, Peter.
Before she even finished, Tony appeared on the screen.
Tony : Hey underoos! Just a friendly reminder, Come home early. We have the movie night tonight. Also don't get hurt on the petrol and drink water. You have the water bottle system in your suit.
Peter winced.
Peter : Mr. Stark! Don't treat me like a child!
Tony : Will do, kiddo. Now safe petrolling, Bye!
Tony disappeared and Peter groaned. Tony was growing a bit too over protective of him lately. He had almost become a soccer mom but he didn't waste any time on that thought as he had a movie night to attend.
Blankets and pillows were all spread out on the floor of the huge living room in the Avengers Tower. Everyone was cuddled in together. Tony had Peter and Pepper on both his sides, tucked to him. Steve and Natasha were leaning on a pillow together. Sam and Bucky were forced sit together and gave each other looks everytime they forced close together by the others while cuddling. Wanda and Vision was on the edge to the right tugging on each other's arms. Snacks were served and people were already filling their mouth with them. They were watching 'Knives Out'. They were halfway through the movie when Peter felt a little sleepy after a long day. Tony seemed to notice that and tugs on Peter.
Tony : Hey kiddo, you're tired let's get you to bed.
Peter : Ahh Mr. Stark I don't think that's necessary.
Tony : Of course it is, Pete.
Bucky : Aww spideyson go with your irondad. He's gonna tuck you in
He could hear everyone laughing.
Pepper : It's okay Peter. You have school tomorrow anyways. We can have you see the movie later on.
Tony almost carried him to bed. He could still here some snickers from the living room. He was so embarrassed. He wanted to dig a hole in the ground and hide. But the worst came the next day. Peter had forgotten his lunch money which Tony came to notice. So instead of sending someone, he decided to go there himself. When a black Rolls Royce came in front of the school and Tony Stark came out, searching for Peter Parker, everyone was stunned. But then again, he called him dad the last time they went to the Avengers Tower. Tony gave Peter two hundred dollar bills. Peter was too stunned to speak as everybody stared at them. But Tony was unfazed and he ruffled his hair and left. When Peter went to the Tower after petrol. He was mad. But Tony wasn't there so he sat living room couch with his arms crossed. Natasha noticed as she came in.
Natasha : Hey baby spider! What's up?
Peter was pouting
Peter : Nothing.
Natasha : You know I'm a spy and you are being super easy to read. Come on, you only say that we are the spider gang, tell me what happened.
Peter : It's just that Mr. Stark is being.... Very... Persistent.
Natasha : You mean he's being a helicopter dad?
Peter : Something like that.
Natasha : I get it. You should have seen my father, Alexei, when I introduced Steve as my fiancé.
Peter : What happened?
Natasha : Let's just say, we somehow stopped him from dueling with Steve.
They both laughed.
Natasha : You know he's just worried about you. Give him some time.
Peter : Hmmm.
But Peter couldn't. He felt like a kid who was being embarrassed by his dad. He needed some fresh air. So he took the train and landed in New Jersey after a 12 minute ride. He got into his spidey suit and started to swing. It was refreshing to be in a new place. He had travelled through the entirety of NYC and Queens. Some people waved at him, recognising him as the spidey from Queens. He stopped a few petty crimes. It was getting dark. He thought of returning. Just then, he saw a tall black figure swinging from the other roof. Before he could react, he could feel someone behind him. He turned around to see a large man in a black costume with bat ears. He immediately realized...
Peter : Oh. My. God. BATMAN!!
Batman looked scrunched his nose. He had researched on the spider themed superhero of New York but he didn't know what he was doing in Gotham. It was his territory. But Peter didn't seem to care.
Peter : Batman sir I'm a huge fan of you. I mean like your fight with Bane was sooo cool. I mean not for you of course cause he broke your back. Oh I'm so sorry it didn't mean to come out like this. Oh I haven't introduced myself, I'm Pet.. No Spider man.
Batman : I know.
Batman said in a deep voice.
Peter : Of course you know. Like you are Batman.
This kid reminded Bruce a lot of young Dick when he was Robin. They have the same energy. Heck who was he kidding, Dick was still the same.
Batman : I also know that you are Peter Parker. Studying in Midtown High School and you are Tony Stark's personal intern.
Peter was shocked. Batman knew everything about him. But instead of being concerned, he was excited that his most favorite hero after iron man knew him. Suddenly, a kid in a red and green costume landed beside Batman. He looked a lot younger than Peter. He was child. He must have been the famous Robin.
Robin : Father, why are we wasting our time here?
Peter : Ahh Mr. Batman can I join you in your crime fighting tonight? I mean it will be a great learning experience for me.
Robin : Father don't tell me you are seriously considering this random Spider boy.
Peter : Hey! It's Spider man.
Damian deadpanned.
Robin : I don't care.
Batman : Enough. Fine. You can join us Peter but stick to small crimes. Gotham is much more dangerous than your usual area.
Peter nodded fiercely. He saw the two swinging away with their ropes as he swung around with his web. The night was pretty uneventful and Peter stopped a few thefts with the haughty kid but it was untill he missed a point and fell down. Batman caught him before he fell but he still got hurt. He got bruise in his knee.
Robin : See father that's why I told you to not take him.
Batman : Stop it Robin. I'll get the batmobile. He needs medical attention.
Saying so, Bruce took out the batmobile as Peter stared in awe. He guided him to the backseat as Batman drove with Robin beside him. They were whispering but due to his super hearing, Peter couldn't help but overhear them.
Robin : Are you taking him to the batcave? He might find out our identity.
Batman : It's alright Damian, Tony already knows and the kid's smart he can find out on his own.
Peter's eyes went wide as they entered a huge cave passing through a waterfall. They entered the cave and Peter did not believe his eyes. It was a whole lab down there. Very different than Tony's and had a big monitor. They got out. So did Peter. The little kid huffed and went away.
Batman : Peter, sit here. Well get you checked out.
Peter waited as he called someone.
Batman : Alright kid I know you are smart and Tony already knows so I think it's okay for you to know.
He pulled off his mask revealing himself.
Peter : Oh. My. GOD. Bruce wayne. Bruce Wayne is Batman? My theory was right? I knew it!
Peter exclaimed. Bruce was taken aback by the kid's enthusiasm even after getting hurt. Yep. He was definitely like Dick.
Bruce : Ya. Now you know but you have to keep it a secret.
Peter : Sure Mr. Wayne.
As he said, an old man came in followed by a brunette kid, possible of his age only. The old man went up to Bruce with medical supplies.
Bruce : Peter this is Alfred. He'll take care of your wound.
Peter : Thank you Mr. Wayne but I don't need it. I have super healing. It'll get healed by itself.
Alfred : That might be the case, Master Peter but you should still have the wound checked out. Tim get him the clothes.
Tim : Right. Hi! I'm Tim Drake. Nice to meet you.
Peter : Hi Tim. I'm Peter.
Tim handed Peter some clothes and he changed. After Alfred took care of his wound, they all went upstairs. Peter was given some food and the guest room was prepared for him to stay the night. But one small thing had slipped Peter's mind. He didn't inform Tony.
