lia had been putting this off. She had to tell him though for her safety and most importantly the baby. She around 2 month pregnant, so not deep in the pregnancy but she just wanted to tell him. Hayley the physio has also been acting a bit off with her. No they haven’t had an argument but she keeps questioning lia about her period and lia always replies with ‘ sometimes they can be abit late’ even though this one is 2 months late.
She felt nervous in a way not sure why, like she was a starter and rarely ever got subbed off, so suddenly she not playing anymore surely fans are going to question. She stopped her thoughts and carefully pulled the sleeping Australians limbs off her. Picking up yesterdays clothes off the floor that familiar feeling crept up throat again. Quickly dropping everything she quickly ran over to the bathroom down the hall. Opening the door with a thumb she stuck her head down the toilet bowl and sicked up what felt like her internal organs. A soft hand came behind her and rubbed soothing circles on her back, she also felt her hair getting tied back. She let her limb body slump into the Australian behind her.
“I’m going to take a shower I’ll only be like 10 mins do you mind packing my bag for me Cait” Lia sighed looking up to meet the Australians green eyes
“yeah sure love take your time” Caitlin replied rubbing the swisses stomach
She let the warm water pour down her, she couldn’t help look down at her body. She felt so- so large. She hardly had a bump but she just felt bigger. Her boobs felt bigger, her thighs felt fatter everything just felt fatter! She had a bump but it wasn’t noticeable, you could just say that you were bloated.
Turning the shower handle to turn to water off, she realised she forgot her towel. She shouted down to Caitlin to grab her one.
“here you go- wait you okay?” Caitlin questioned as she handed the towel over to lia
“no!” Lia snapped, she felt tears forming in her eyes as quickly wrapped the towel around her body
“Come her what’s the matter” Caitlin soothingly said pulling the very upset Swiss into her embrace
“I’m so scared to tell Jonas about my pregnancy what if he replaces me? I feel so big so fat I hate this Caitlin I feel like crying all the time! I nearly fucking cried yesterday because i kept missing the target in training ” lia sobbed into the Australian chest
“Shh Lia, jonas won’t be angry at you at all he’ll be happy and your body changing for the best, it’s building life inside of you ands that’s amazing” Caitlin soothed “and you crying because of your hormones adjusting to a baby growing inside of you it will be okay trust me”
“ when did you become a doctor” lia giggled sniffling the tears away
“ let me clean your face and let’s get changed” Caitlin said wiping lias tear stained cheeks
Lia changed and so did Caitlin, they quickly grabbed their bags and rushed out the car. It was a cold winter in London, the sun still shone brightly but it was a cold crisp morning. Lia was still so worried with what to say to Jonas even after Caitlin had comforted her. She didn’t want to work herself up too much about it as she would end up giving herself a panic attack and she doesn’t want that does she now.
“Lia calm down I can hear you thinking it’s all going to be okay” Caitlin softly said placing a hand on the swiss thigh
Lia sighed and placed her hand on top of the Australian, they laced their hands together, lia watched the trees as they drove by them, pulling into the training ground she took one deep breath. Parking in their usual spot, lia grabbed a piece of chewing gum from the pot as she felt about nauseous, she wasn’t sure if it was from the baby or the nerves.
Walking to the lounge room she quickly made her self a coffee and gave Caitlin a kiss on the cheek. “ I’m going to find Jonas” lia quickly said before she hurried out the of the door.
Lia focused on her breathing as she made her way down the Jonas’s office. It was not like Jonas was a scary man- he was far from that. The Swiss paused before knocking on the door. She finally pressed her fist on the door and knocked. “ come in “ a voice spoke
Lia nervously shuffled in and shut the door behind her “ can we speak about something”
“ yes we have 20 mins, take a seat” Jonas smiled
Lia pulled out one of the chairs placed in-front of jonas’s desk
“ well I have some news “ lia spoke not even give eye contact to her boss
“ take you time lia you seem upset” Jonas reached across the table placing a reassuring hand on the Swiss
“ no it’s good news just about nervous to tell you” lia said looking Jonas in the eye for the first time
“ I’m pregnant “ lia finally spat out and finally looking jonas in the eyes
“oh- oh that’s great lia, I’m so happy for you how far along are you?” Jonas smiled relaxing into her chair
“2 months I’ll be 3 in a couple of weeks” lia smiled a massive weight had been lifted of her shoulder
“ right obviously things will have to be changed such as your game time and training time, so I tell you what today you don’t have to do any training just gym I’ll put you with Hayley and you can figure out what you would like to and obviously as your a regular started have you told the internet yet?” Jonas said
“ no not yet I don’t know when I want to” lia replied her and Caitlin had not talked about announcing the pregnancy yet
“ right, this sounds horrible but we can tell the fans you have a injury and then whenever your ready come out and tell the world your big secret?” Jonas suggested
“ I mean yeah we can do that “ lia replied
“ right I’ll put you with Hayley you mine telling her yourself I need to join training” Jonas smiled
“ yes yes of course “ lia replied getting up from her seat “ jonas thank you” lia smiled at the man just before he was about to walk out the door
“ you only have one chance at family, it’s more important than anything lia “

everything with Hayley went smoothly, they agreed on mostly gym work and 3 private pitch sessions a week, the only thing now was to tell the girls. At the end of training she asked everyone to come into the ‘ chill out room ‘ because she had some important news. everyone was looking around nervously, whispering to each over what she could be saying. Leah was sat with her smug look on her face as she knew what was about to come out the Swiss mouth.
“ I’ve asked you all the come in here because I have some exciting news, 3 of you already know what it is, Caitlin kim and Leah but obviously i couldn’t hide it from you lot your basically my family” lia said standing up everyone not taking there eyes of her
“ so enough waffling, me and Caitlin are having a baby “ lia smiled proudly looking Caitlin in the eyes
“ no fucking way “ Katie screeched happily running up to hug the Swiss
lia giggled into the excited Irish women, soon all the over girls came and hugged her. Arsenal was family and these girls were more than friends. Questioned flooded through, from “when did you know” “you should name it katie” “put the middle middle name as Arsenal” lia was filled with happiness she hadn’t felt this happy in awhile, her mouth was just stuck with a smile. Lia decided to arrange for all the girls to come over next Saturday as it was their weekend off.
the day had been long, but full of happiness. Lia and Caitlin made their way home. The silence was comfortable as they drove through the streets of St Albans. She had a baby inside her, her team supported her, Caitlin was here and she was feeling like lia again.
