Revisit
Izuku sat at the table, hands together on the surface. "So,I'm sure you're all aware of the ongoing events,"
"What do you need us to do boss?" Rentarou asked with a quick nod.
"Allow me to preface this with, I understand what I am asking and you are free to curse my name, but I need your help to do this," A deep breath, "As you all know I was contacted by an being from outside our corner of existence, through some events I still don't understand, we have had timelines interwoven into our own, to save lives on a scale we can never truly comprehend, that being said it does come with some.... add-ons,"
"Like... twenty-nine new wives?" A voice offered with a smirk. Izuku sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Yes Neito, I have been lucky enough to be in a position to expand my Court, that however is besides the point," Opening his eyes again, he leant his head against his hand. His other digits tapped against the touch screen of the table. "Now, my associate has given me several dozen files, so as to not leave us in the dark of who's who and what exactly we can expect from them, that being said,"
"There's more than a few dozen?" Another spoke up,
"Correct Shishida," He pointed to the man, "Apparently a few of them had their own muliverses within their timelines and some form of understanding about what the omniverse truly is, there are people with the same names, lives, already my guard has informed me they've had to adjust social security numbers for more than a hundred people, it is becoming beyond a joke, so I call the Round Table for your aid, I will of course be pulling my share as best I can alongside my other duties, but I need you all to help me organize the information,"
"Book keeping? You want us to do book keeping,"
"In so many words, yes Mirio, I, there's not, I already said I understand, it's not glamorous by any means, but it needs to be done and I can't do it alone,"
"Your duplicates?" Izuku shook his head,
"They don't work like that, once they dissolve that's it, I don't get any information from them at all, in the end I'd have to go through it all by hand anyways, my duplicates broke them down into organized piles, from what the individual Deadpool told me I was able to identify figures from Marvel and DC multiverses, from pop culture I was able to identify the Dragonball universe, I've already interacted with SpyFamily, Overwatch, Bayonetta and Nintendo, there is also the timelines called One-punch man, and Ben Ten which I've had brief experience with however there's so much more that needs to be done, some of my Queens have warned me that due to an event known as Super Smash Brothers affecting their timelines prior to the Fusion we can expect to see such timelines as Fire Emblem or Pokemon and others that were also present the overlap I'm sure you all remember the videogame?"
"You mean Setsuna absolutely kicking our asses in the tournaments?" Neito shook his head, "Vividly," Face growing serious, he locked eyes with the King, "Any more information?"
"We have three Earth like planets in the solar system all on the same orbit as us at the same speeds, I'm aware Dragonball is on one of them, we've been scanning all three, one of which seems to output far more satellite signals than the others, a very cybernetic society by the best guesses of our eggheads,"
"So any previously fictional world that the wider public won't remember," Mirio pivoted his chair slightly, "Sounds doable,"
"More files will come in overtime, but I have been warned that things are going to expand beyond the solar system, possibly even the galaxy but I don't have figures for that yet,"
"Do we have an end goal?"
"Nothing concrete," Izuku groused, "I was told it would save trillions but they lowballed it by a few quintillion, I don't know if that means they dropped a few zeroes, only told me the trillions or meant octillions at this point, I do know we are going to save lives and lots of them, but it's going to require a lot more than just letting it happen,"
"If we don't do it right wars could break out," Naomasa nodded helpfully, "Which means," Izuku rubbed his face with both hands.
"I am sorry I didn't get you a helicopter however all three invasions were sudden and we didn't have time to mount an actual defence,"
"Just sayin'," He lifted his hands leaning back in his seat. His demeanour changed before he spoke again, "Do we have any more ideas as to what timelines we're dealing with or will be dealing with?"
"We won't get information until the timeline is safely added to ours, however we are given enough time to get information together come up with battle plans and get into action before any interactions, be advised though, if you can find information about there being instances where timelines overlapped at all, we might be able to predict where one or two popped up, keep in mind it would have to be larger overlaps, where the different groups interacted," Shishida lifted a hand from the table lightly. "Go for it,"
"Capcom,"
"What?"
"You said that Smash was a viable overlap, Marvel-ex-Capcom was also an overlap, one with multiple iterations, not to mention Ryu from Street Fighter was involved in Smash, it's an educated prediction,"
"And by that logic," Neito lifted a finger, "We can expect to see Tekken too, given how they've overlapped with Street Fighter and Smash,"
"You guys,"
"We're just going off the information you've given us," Mirio objected lightly, "Things we've previously seen as fiction have a chance of becoming real, we need to look at it from all angels, intellectual property is a thing Izuku, we know Bandai Namco the developing company, made games like Pac-man and who's that yellow guy in Smash? Not to mention they also developed the Dragonball fighting game which would've been one of the timelines in the Dragonball multiverse,"
"And that's just stuff we know is limited to the solar system," Rentarou added "I mean how many interstellar pieces of fiction are there? More than three that's for sure,"
"Plus let's look at this mathematically," Shishida continued, "You said your source estimated a few trillion, let's say," He paused, moving an arm about, "Eight, eight trillion right? Well, our Earth held before the Fusion, about seven billion, one trillion equals a thousand billions, so already we're looking at over a thousand planets if all of them are similar size and volume to Earth, frankly I'm surprised we only have three more in orbit,"
"That didn't count for duplicates," Izuku rubbed his chin, "For example Bruce Wayne, Batman, he's appeared about four times, one they were put into close proximity three of them faded into the fourth, anyone with similar stories or timelines will be fused into one being that encompasses all of the experiences,"
"Apparently not if they're called Peter Parker," A file was laid on the table,
"Tetsutetsu?" Izuku looked to the silver haired man that had finally spoken up.
"I grabbed one for a quick scan, apparently three Peter Parkers have had such different experiences that they're all unique, not to mention age disparity and they somehow remember meeting each other, a further two more are about the place, one with a newborn daughter, the other already with his own sidekick or something going by Miles Morales," A finger tapped the closed folder. "I mean this is the file on one and apparently there's enough of these guys to have a stack three foot high?"
"Ah, yes, I was warned, the Spider folk appear to have their own mini-multiverses within the larger timelines,"
"And how are we going to sort all of them out?"
"That's where I come in," A voice called out, they all looked up as a figure lowered from the cieling on a strand of what looked like silk. Izuku looked over his shoulder,
"Time,"
"King," Time greeted cordially from the doorway.
"Who is this?"
"Well, I figured that before you get overwhelmed I'd find somebody that could help, his timeline was affected anyways," The figure wore a dark green and black bodysuit, a snood covering their face held up by a pair of goggles. Over the bodysuit was a dark green jacket with the hood up, covering the dark green hair. Black hightops pressed together as they descended. "Meet Midoriyachnid,"
"Wassup," Flipping the right way up, their feet landed on the table. "I've been brought up to speed," The hood was pulled down as the face coverings were lowered, "Apparently our stories are very different," Izuku let out a sigh as he looked at his own face, ableit with a few more scars.
"Synopsis?"
"School trip to I-island, bit by one of their bugs, failed the Hero course entrance exam went into general, used my superior smarts to avoid getting kickied out, took up vigilantism once I understood my powers, returned to I-island on second school trip, met.... Melissa," His smile faded, "She.. died, avenged her though, came back to Japan got back into the vigilante scene, fought All for One in Kamino Ward, League got some of my blood in the fight, we'll get back to that though, got into it with Yakuza, saved Eri, let the heroes take care of her, find out the League was experimenting with my blood, using it with Nomu, Venom's born, beat it off the Nomu, then beat the Nomu, then it bonds with Bakugo and they go mental, eventually I break up the happy couple, Bakugo goes to prison but nobody realized he had some company, Venom continues to be a pain in my ass, eventually Bakugo, now red and called Carnage, busts out and goes absolutely apeshit, Carnage knows who I am and combined with Bakugo's hatred they... kill... Mom,
Eventually the League makes their move again, heroes want to work with me, I meet Uraraka and we... get along, Carnage and Venom don't though, I make peace with Venom so we can get Carnage, it ditches Bakugo, finds Toga, Scream is born but of course Carnage is still around and fuses with Twice, Venom and I try fusing, doesn't work, Venom bonds with guy name Iwao instead, we discover that in trying to bond Venom and I created another symbiote, we named Anti-venom and it decides to bond with former Pussycat Shiretoko, in the end we find out Anti-venom can actually kill the other versions so Carnage and Scream go bye-bye, not long after that Shiggy's gone full psycho trying with the Paranormal-whatever, Venom, Anti-venom, Uraraka and I all get stuck in, All Might and Mirio fight the de-aging All for One while the four of us try and take out Shiggy.... he killed Uraraka first, then he did something to Anti, turning it on Venom, while the symbiotes fought he killed Iwao and Shiretoko,
Knocked me down a few times too, damn near took off an arm at one point, but I held on, eventually I got close enough and just... swung," Midoriyachnid looked at his fist, "I took his jaw clean off, for a minute he was surprised, I was too angry to hesitate so I followed up with my muscle memory, apparently uppercutting into the roof of a person's mouth is an easy way to launch bone fragments into their brain, it killed him instantly, but even if it didn't his head popping like a grape definitely did him in, I rush over to help All Might and Mirio, since their reinforcements are all dead, dying or permanently disabled, most of that fight is a blur to be honest, but I remember ripping one of his limbs off," A shaken head, "By the end All Might and another fifty-odd heroes are dead another two-hundred or so can never be heroes again, Mirio spends nearly two years recovering in hospital, Eri.... I kept a few tabs, she grew up happy, I'm given a license for my contributions but.... it didn't bring back the dead, then one day I'm dealing with one of my regulars and green cracks appear in the sky, Time shows up and I get another adventure, much less death this time, even got to stick it to some bastard saying my suffering was unavoidable," Smirking, he finally climbed off the table, "Anyways after the war I changed my name, had to, since I'd technically faked my death to escape the Para-whatsits," A hand was offered, "Akitani Mikumo, pleased to meet you,"
"Izuku Midoriya, the pleasure's mine," He gave a nod as they shook hands firmly, "I am sorry for what you have gone through and I hope that you can find happiness here," Clearing his throat Akintani nodded,
"Thank you,"
"Now Knights of the roundtable, allow me to introduce my source, Izuku Midoriya, you can call him Time however," He gestured to the other version of himself, "He is called a Chronosapien, in his timeline he is a creature of absolute power, capable of doing anything with time, in other timelines, like ours, he is able to stop, reverse or fastforward time,"
"What else is there to do with time?" Neito questioned politely.
"Create loops or paradoxes, control if a timeline branches or not, force new options, recently discovered I can migrate individuals provided there are no dupliactes in the target timeline," Time waved a hand, "However my attention and energy right now is being put into making sure timelines survive the Fusion and the bastards that can make things difficult are dealt with,"
"You're the one we met, back then," Naomasa nodded, "When we were at UA for the graduation party, something happened,"
"Ah, you do remember me," Time smiled, "Yes, at that time we had assumed many timelines were going to be lost, however King offered up this timeline as a refuge, I'm not joking when I say countless lives will be saved,"
"Speaking of," Akitani clapped his hands, "Leave the Spider-folk with me to organise, I'll get them all in neat little rows,"
"We'll get you licence exam ready to get you back on the streets ASAP," Izuku nodded, "You're clearly qualified and we want you protecting people as quick as we can,"
"Uh boss, should we expect versions of us to appear?" Tetsutetsu raised a hand worried.
"...Time?"
"No, not, the only timeline that's really been affected with all of you in it is this one, we shouldn't expect... unless," He rubbed his chin, "No, actually, don't worry about it, you guys are fine,"
"Does that mean no female versions of us?"
"Rentarou!"
"What? You act like it didn't happen!" Izuku just huffed at the Agent's assessment. Grumbling lightly he rubbed his face.
"Just so you know, there are days when I genuinely hate you,"
"Sure thing boss," Rentarou snorted
"Right with that all dealt with, I need to go, there's apparently something that needs my attention in Hyrule," A finger raised threateningly, "Not one joke, from any of you," Time disappeared in a flash of green light. The others all stood up and went their respective ways as Izuku left the room.
"They've taken to calling it Gloom," Zelda spoke quietly, "After finding the tunnel, we noticed it spilling out, recently it's been spotted around the area," Izuku hummed lightly as they slowly walked forwards. "It appears a lot like the Malice from Calamity Gannon,"
"But he's dead now," He nodded in understanding, "So what the hell is making this?"
"More importantly why is it under the castle?" They continued down the stone stairs, loing ahd the polished walls of the castle given way to the rough texture of solid stone. "And why does it go so deep?"
"Both mysteries we intend to solve coming down here," He murmured quietly.
"Are you quite sure you don't need the Master Sword?" She gestured to the sword strapped to her back, the handle of which had begun to glow softly during their descent.
"Caliburn will cut what I need it to," He reassured her. "And I would prefer you carry some sort of weapon with you, on the off chance you need it,"
"My bow,"
"Is brilliant yes, but in confined space something sharp is better," They entered what appeared to be a corridor. At least, it looked to have more brickwork walls than the area before.
"Ruins," Zelda muttered, slowly walking to a fallen column. Using her flashlight she began looking at it. "Zonai markings? But that," She paused. "No, research can come later, for now we need to stop the Gloom spreading," Together they continued through the corridors, slowly but surely making their way through the dark. Radar and Danger Sense both buzzed as a high pitched noise was hear. "Keese!" Zelda began looking around. Lifting a hand in the direction of the monsters, he sent a blast of air at them. Squealing as they were carried, there was a series of dull thuds from each impacting the wall. He paused ready to detect any more threats.
"Clear,"
"Thank you," His wife stepped up to his side, "Those are..."
"Murals," He noted as she walked over to them. Rolling a sleeve up, Create put a much larger fluorescent light to fill the room.
"They look like the... but how... they are so much older than.... there are no Guardians,"
"It is before that time then,"
"It would have to be, but I mean.... the written history of royal families, it tells of a war, a great battle between the allied tribes of Hyrule and something only refered to as the Demon King,"
"Demise?"
"No," She shook her head, "Those.... those are in the Forgotten Temple, at the end of Tanagar Canyon, this seems, different, perhaps a similar fight?" Walking down the story, she gasped, "That looks... like the statues from the previous room, a Zonai! And the figures below must be... Hylians, certainly suggests the Zonai descended from the Heavans,"
"Much like when Skyloft came down after Demise was sealed within the Master Sword," Izuku hummed
"Izuku?"
"Yes?"
"When I first moved in, Setsuna showed me a series of images, timelines of my different incarnations and how their stories and that the Hero of Time was the reason for them, but.... all of those stories, they are recorded in the halls above us, could... could this be how?"
"What do you mean?"
"I saw a game, one called Hyrule Warriors, but there are no texts in any of Hyrule that depict such an event, perhaps after the event in question, Hyrule was reborn, the story changed, perhaps the first Zelda did not descend with Skyloft, perhaps it was the Zonai who sealed Demise away first?"
"Maybe, which would allow for your records to remain true and intact yet this... alternative history to take place, however your legends also say the Skyloft came about towards the end of an never-ending war, correct?"
"Yes, Hylia lifted a titanic piece of land for the last of the Hylians to be protected from Demise,"
"What if that wasn't his first attempt?"
"You mean?"
"The Zonai came from the sky, who's to say that as a final bid to protect the Triforce they returned to it?"
"An interesting thesis," Zelda looked to him, "However our answers will have to wait," Her head flicked towards the other side of the murals, "A landslide appears to have blocked the rest from view, once we know it won't cause a cavein we can excavate the rubble, for now let's get back on with the mission,"
"Of co-," They both whirled around as pebbles skittered on the floor. "Linkle,"
"You came down here without me?!" She looked at them both, "That's so unfair guys, c'mon!"
"Honey we," Izuku began, "I didn't..."
"Is it because you don't think I'm smart enough to help?"
"Of course not," He shook his head, "But we're getting increasingly close to the source of the Gloom, Zelda only has more resistance because of her piece of the Triforce, hell even with my two I'm concerned I may have to use my healing abilities to actually touch the stuff," His warrior glared at him,
"You think I'm too weak then?"
"No, whatever the Gloom is, it's draining people of everything, energy, joy, I'm worried that if we don't stop it now it will just leech away the lives of unfortunate souls that touch it, I don't want to let something like that happen to any of you, Zelda knows how bullheaded I am,"
"He nearly didn't let me come," She agreed, "It's only because he knew without somebody else he'd get lost immediately,"
"Then give me a piece,"
"What?"
"Give me a piece, of the Triforce, if Zelda's piece has enough resistance to appease you, then me having a piece should be just as good," Knowing he would lose the argument Izuku walked over to Linkle.
"Well, if you're sure," He whispered, she opened her mouth to agree when he leant down to kiss her. Putting his hands on her hips, he felt her hold his face, their bodies pulled together as he passed the Triforce piece across. Once their lips separated, she raised an eyebrow.
"Must you always do it like that?"
"If you don't like it, I'll stop," As he went to lift his hands, her own suddenly pressed on top, holding them in place.
"I never said I didn't like it," Blushing and looking away she leant into him again. Sliding his arms around her back, he hugged her against his frame.
"Consider it part of my apology, I should've invited you after I relented with Zelda, when we get home I'll make your favourite nutcake as well,"
"Accepted, in part, the rest depends on how good the cake is," He sighed lightly,
"Then an apple pie as well just to be safe,"
"Good choice," Linkle squeezed him before letting him go, "Now let's get moving," Together they found another doorway beside the rubble and began slowly treading it. A corridor turned into stairs once more. Izuku was now concerned with how old the work would have to be. Considering it changed to much from decaying brick to actual bedrock. The terrain of Hyrule couldn't have shifted to much, or there would be far more dead ends, caveins and other tunnels. Linkle kept a hand on the handle of her small dagger on the back of her hips. Zelda began reaching for the Master Sword as Izuku readied Caliburn.
"The Gloom is getting, quite thick," The Hyrulian Queen noted, "We must be getting close to the..." The stairs came to an end, in a cave so large they could see no walls. Their small platform fell away into rubble and stone on all sides. "What is this place?"
"What is that?" Linkle pointed, ahead of them in the darkness was a source of light. Beginning at a single point, it spiralled upwards. Turning from white, to blue, into a grass green, the stream of light began curling around a massive stalagtite. Despite its size even it did little to illuminate more that its immediate area. Izuku chewed his lip for a moment.
"You two, if we are going to continue, promise me that if I say run, you run,"
"Izuku we," Zelda began
"Zelda, Linkle, my loves, please, something doesn't seem right,"
"I understand," Linkle nodded, "But we aren't leaving you alone,"
"My warrior please, if this place collapses I'll just permeate to the surface, I'll be alright, but you two,"
"I have the Purah Pad," Zelda tapped the device on her hip, "I'll grab Linkle and we'll be back at Lookout Landing immediately,"
"Thank you for pushing Purah to finish those towers by the way, climbing the old ones was a task," Linkle hugged her wife with one arm.
"Thank you for volunteering to test them, Mipha nearly killed Sidon when she found out he suggested Link try it,"
"Testing what?"
"Nothing big, just a way to collect enviromental data and topography scans," Linkle waved him off. Deciding to pursue the matter latter, he frowned and turned back towards the spiral. Together the three of them managed to make their way over to it.
"What... is it?" Zelda wondered as they reached flat terrain.
"I don't... know," Izuku shook his head. The start of the spiral seemed to condense into a single point. It seemed to be escaping a covering or container. He stepped forward first. Beneath the glowing object, he could begin to make out a body. Standing on two feet, it was leaning far backwards, yet the head was staring at the light source. "It looks, like an arm... like it's holding them down," The three of them stopped at the start of a small series of steps. Before their eyes they watched the white light slowly fade to the same grass green. It was an entire forearm stopping just before an elbow could be seen, as they looked, the rigidity of the artefact disappeared. First the wrist began to give, causing the arm to topple, it brought the hand off the creature's chest. With a dull thud, the limb hit the floor and a small glowing stone fell from the back of the hand. It clinked lightly down the stairs to Izuku's feet. Curiously he picked up the tomoe shaped object, feeling a gentle warmth in his hand. In his hold, the object suddenly glowed golden. Danger Sense flared as a deep heartbeat echoed over the cave. "Get behind me," Zelda and Linkle both took cover behind his frame. The body began twitching, trying to pull its torso up. Another heartbeat as it nearly stood up, only for it to fall back down. As if leaning backward over some support, the body bent in half. For a second the head hung in the air. Then it turnedto face them, eye sockets filling with red before sickly yellow eyes fixed on him. Gloom began to spout from the chest, where the hand had sat. One limb turned back down to charge at them. Barrier gave a dull thud as it rose to stop the attack. After the first spread another trail burst out, trying to break the defence once more.
"You," A sick hoarse voice, grating his ears, echoed into the dark. "Finally decided to face your death have you? Did you at least bring the sword that seals the darkness? I want to watch the hope die in your eyes when you realise even that paltry blade will not protect you from me,"
"I need no protection from you, knave," Izuku growled lowly, drawing Caliburn. The figure slowly stood up, never taking their eyes from the trio.
"Rauru placed his faith in you, in his final moments, that failure told me you would be the one to strike me down, as a King?" Standing straight and facing them, it spat with an evil grin. "You a king? Wihout a throne, without a crown, without even kin to fight alongside? The observer and the healer, striking me down? If he hadn't sealed me away, I would have died laughing at such a notion,"
"Zelda, go," He whispered over his shoulder. "Go, now," Holding Caliburn in front of him, he put the other arm up to shield them both.
"We can't," Linkle began to argue.
"Linkle, not the time to debate, go!"
"This is all you can do? Cower behind a shield and run? Killing you will be so easy, it won't be at all satisfying... perhaps if I destroy your precious Hyrule first?" A miasma of red and black collected at the figure's chest. Reflexively, Izuku activated Overclock, preparing for an attack from any direction, however it was unecassary as no assault came. Instead they launched it upwards, where it changed into the writhing Gloom and impacted the stalagtite. Rocks and dust began to fall as it entire roof was pushed skywards. The floor around the figure began to collapse until they too fell away into darkness. Immediately he swivelled around.
"Zelda now!" She frantically engaged the Purah Pad and grabbed hold of Linkle. He felt his hand grow warmer as the ground began to give beneath him. Slowly leaving the ground, he looked to his hand to see the object glowing. "Son of a!" He yelled as yellow enveloped him and he disappeared.
"IZUKU!" They both screamed before turning into blue wisp like string.
Moments later they reformed on the reception pad outside of Lookout Landing's new tower. A whitette dressed in Sheika garb began running over. "Your Highness, you're here!"
"Purah!" Zelda cried, "Purah, we have to get search teams ready!"
"We... we already have, we've been looking for you two... and His Majesty,"
"But we were only just underground, we just used your pad to warp here,"
"What? But... unless I... oh Hylia," She gasped, putting hands to her face, "Whatever you do, do not use it again, you've been missing for a day!"
"A DAY?!" They both shouted.
"That sounded like Zelda and Linkle!" Another voice cried from beneath them. From under their platform a group began charging. Zelda watched as the Court all looped around to the stairwell and rushed to greet them. Both were quickly swept into a group hug.
"Thank above you're alright," Toru gasped, "We were so worried you didn't answer any messages, we tried calling but it never connected,"
"A technical error it appears, we thought the teleportation would be instant," Linkle responded tersely, glaring at Impa. "Did you not test it before giving it over?"
"Of course, but you wanted it done so we couldn't check everything, we put more focus on getting it ready for scanning the terrain!"
"It doesn't matter, either way we need to find Izuku,"
"What do you mean... 'find Izuku'?" Tamao questioned, "He wasn't with you?"
"He told us to warp without him, but before we left, he was enveloped in some... yellow aura and disappeared,"
"Of course he did," Kyoka groaned, facepalming. "Well, where do we start?"
"Hyrule Castle should be first," Cathleen pointed to it, "You guys were underneath it and now it's... up there and all,"
"But what about up there?" Zelda pointed to another floating mass South-West of Central Hyrule.
"Not much," Nana shook her head, "I went up and had Kurogiri warp in a few of us, it's enviromentally diverse, a few creatures and a ghost called Rauru, he said that everything would be okay, that Izuku would be home soon, but he refused to answer more than that,"
"Zelda, didn't that thing say some Rauru died while sealing it away?"
"It did," Linkle and Zelda shared a look, "We must head to Hyrule Cas-," She was interrupted by a low buzzing. They all looked to the Master Sword on her back before it disappeared in a flash.
"But?" Linkle looked to her own hand, where a Triforce glowed. Her head snapped up to the castle, "IZUKU I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" She screamed before lifting her hand to show the others. "Look at what he did! He gave me the Triforce of Power, POWER!"
"That looked exactly like how he vanished too," Zelda frowned, "Why would it only take the sword after taking him if it wanted the Triforce of Courage?"
"Maybe it wanted the sword but needed the Triforce to call it?" Momo offered, "Though it's highly unlikely,"
"Any theory is a good theory until proven otherwise," Purah shook her head. Before any of them could speak again, the ground began to shake. Violently. After the tremor passed, Zelda frowned.
"Alright, get the Round Table here immediately, we're launching a search party,"
"But Zelda, we don't,"
"Purah, with respect, we can't wait around to solve any mysteries, our husband is missing and we intend to find him,"
"And then smack him for worrying us!" Nemuri added, getting a lot of angry agreements.
"Bitch!" Izuku finished before realizing he was in a different place. Landing on a grassy plain, he began surveying his area. It looked a lot like Hyrule, running his tongue over his teeth, he sighed. "Right then, I suppose this is meant to be funny then?" looking into the blue sky, he shouted, "TIME, GET ME OUT OF HERE!" Several seconds passed as he waited. "TIME?!" Further looking about, he spread his arms. "THIS AIN'T FUNNY! SEND ME BACK HOME NOW! TIIMMEE!" With an unsettling silence as his answer, Izuku kicked the ground. "Fucking, dammit!" With no clue where or when he was, he took a moment to calm himself.
"You! Are you okay over there? We heard shouting," Turning around, he saw two figures approach. Both were vaguely humanoid, however they had elongated ears. The taller of the two seemed less human or Hylian however. Tall with a dark green-blue fur like skin, their ears longer than their head was wide, a face that looked oddly like a lamb, with a third set of golden closed eyelashes above their nose, four golden nub like horns grew in a pair just below their white hairline. Their partner was far more human by comparison. While still posessing long ears, their face was that of a Hylian, regular nose, no horns, an intricately designed circlet covering their forehead. Down their bare arms were markings that looked like tanlines, but too detailed, tattoos then. Both had incredibly long hair, with a strand falling in front of either ear. The taller of the two however had theirs bound by stone like hoops. Around their shoulders was a simple shawl fixed by a clasp that looked rather like a spiritual mask. The rest of their torso was uncovered but from their hips downwards was a dressing that looked like an ankle length skirt. Their partner however wore a dress that covered from just below the shoulders down. "Excuse me?" The taller figure spoke again.
"Sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts for a moment," Adjusting himself, he put a hand forward, "My name is Izuku Midoriya,"
"I am Rauru, this is my wife Sonia,"
"Are we perchance anywhere near the region of Hyrule?"
"We are in it Mister Midoriya, why?"
"It does not look like any part I know of, nor can I see the the Castle in its place at Central Hyrule,"
"Its place?"
"At the very top of Central Hyrule, just South of the Lost Woods where the Korok blighters live, lovely lot but they get everywhere, the Castle should be there," He pointed off to the distance, "Visible from most elevated positions in Hyrule it is where my wife Queen Zelda rules from,"
"Oh? That would make you King?"
"Of Hyrule? No, Hyrule is considered a region within the Midori Kingdom, trusted to one of the Queens, Zelda oversees as much as she can within Hyrule, I help her with as much as I can, not just within her region but the rest as well,"
"That is certainly an intersting answer, considering we are the King and Queen that founded Hyrule, at least we were last I checked."
"I should have figured it out by now, you are a Zonai correct?"
"How do you know that?"
"Artefacts, ancient ruins, many things point to your race existing, yet died out long before even Zelda's great-grandparents were alive,"
"I see, so you are from the future,"
"I suppose I am, I... came across this," Showing them the stone, he shrugged, "No idea how it will take me home however,"
"Then perhaps we can work with you to find a solution, but until then come, join us at the castle and rest,"
"So you do have a castle?"
"We never said we didn't," Rauru grinned, "Just that it's not off on the horizon,"
"Well played your Highness," Izuku nodded back, "Though if I am to stay with you, what are we to tell the others?"
"Do you have any knowledge you can share?"
"I do not wish to risk the timeline by saying something I shouldn't," He thought back to the events that sent him here. That creature, whatever it was, had called him a healer, perhaps he could use that? "I do happen to be a particularly good at helping people heal or fight off sickness, perhaps we can do something with that?"
"That may work, with the unrest, perhaps we can say you are here to aid should somebody be wounded in a fight, our child too, they are very, very young, to say you are also here to help us take care until the unrest has passed," Sonia offered, nudged Rauru in the side.
"Yes, that works, you say the stone brought you here, correct? Perhaps if we spoke to my sister Mineru, she might be able to help with a solution,"
Izuku seethed lightly at the kneeling figure of Ganondorf. His smooth words were lies and everybody present knew it. Now draped in more chronologically appropriate threads, the future King stood to one side behind the thrones of Rauru and Sonia. Mineru only had one possible solution, which was consuming one of the secret stones and become an immortal dragon. Keeping Izuku's already present immortality to one side, there was no known way to revert the change. Given how he was trying to keep Quirks as a whole secret from the entire population right now, simply saying no to the idea was a bad move. "I already know how to get back," Would not be recieved lightly, nor would, "I do not wish to wait because otherwise I will have to interfere where I do not want to," Instead he had tentatively taken the idea for review. Ganondorf continued to spout thinly veiled insults and threats as he eyed the secret stones on all three figures. Izuku's was positioned to act as the clasp for his Hyrulian shawl. Rauru dismissed the Gerudo, Izuku waited until they had left before turning to the Zonai. "You know he is dangerous correct?"
"It is easier to keep an eye on him if he is close, among other reasons anyway, have you had luck on your research?"
"From what I can gather, there are few options for me to return to my time,"
"And what of the history you wished to study?"
"There are mentions to events that occured and given how you are allied with both Rito and Zora, I must admit it appears that a theory from my time is more correct than most, the thing I cannot place however, are your origins as Zonai, nor why you do not talk of the Tri-,"
"Do not speak of it!" Rauru hissed, Izuku frowned before the king collected himself, "Forgive me Izuku I... I did not mean that, the origins of the Zonai are simple, we have lived on the islands in the sky for millenia, many before my sister and I came to the surface before choosing to return once more after seeing the warring nature of the tribes of the land, though it is true my sister and I are the last of our kind on the surface, the Zonai will persist for many, many more generations, though we may have died out by your time, the Zonai are not facing extinction yet, as for why, the Zonai... we were given seven stones by the Goddess Hylia and told that the seven Sages were to guard it when she was reborn,"
"What?"
"Izuku, we do not know how far from the future you have come, except it may be millenia until your time, but that does not mean you are at the start of everything, Hylia showed us the history of that artefact, how generations fought over and over, how entire worlds collided, do you think I came up with the name Hyrule myself?" Rauru shook his head. "No, the Zonai have known the history of the land since our creation, shortly after that collision of worlds Hylia created us to be the guardians of that power, our stones are gifts from her, the seven Sages are to be the protectors, should someone attempt to reunite the entire Triforce the seven are to assess their worthiness to attain such power,"
"But then why bring the stones to the surface?"
"It was the only was to bring the tribes together and reform Hyrule once more, Ganondorf, I know of his iterations, and Zelda and Link, but we still have not seen any weilding a piece of the Triforce, and I hope that in my lifetime, I never do,"
"But then,"
"Ganondorf may be after the stones simply due to the fact it amplifies the innate ability of the user, perhaps he wishes to collect all seven and use them to forcibly summon the Triforce? Perhaps he does not even know of it, I have never spoken of it as a fact, I only allow speculation and legends bordering myth to speak of it and the power it weilds,"
"Strangely this makes so much sense," Izuku nodded. "Thank you Rauru for your insight,"
"I am here Izuku, what was so pressing you needed to speak to me so privately?" Sonia spoke to the air. Behind her Izuku walked towards her.
"Only that you seem far too naive," A Gerudo scimitar was thrown towards the queen. Izuku paused as a green blur moved from behind one of the columns.
"I do not appreciate my likeness being used without permission," Izuku growled at his doppleganger, scimitar's handle tight in his fist as the blade hovered close to Sonia's head. "Then again I don't expect a man raised in solitude to understand the concept of respect," The other him stared impassively before beginning to laugh. Black and red miasma began shifting from the figure, causing Izuku to charge. The fact it continued to dissolve instead of changing form caused Izuku to skid to a halt. Danger Sense flared in the back of his head and he whirled around. Sonia jerked as she was impaled from the back, the necklace holding her stone being glunf upwards. Ganondorf's hand wrapped around the object, ripping it from the bindings. "Sonia!" Izuku rushed over, dropping to his knees. "You bastard!" Glaring at the Gerudo, he got an arrogant grin in return.
"And what do you intend to do?"
"For now? Heal,"
"Heal? Look at her, she is dead already!"
"Maybe to an unintelligent brute such as yourself," Passing a healing quirk along, he watched her for any adverse reaction.
"Your opinion matters not you pathetic weakling, I have a stone now," Ganondorf held it high, watching as it changed form. Rising from his hand, it spun before dropping onto his forehead. "I can feel my strength... surging!" The sky grew red as the moon turned bloody. Consumed by a miasma, Ganondorf roared in power. Once the fog faded, Izuku forcibly restrained himself. Ganondorf looked too close to Demise for his liking now. With a raised arm, the Gerudo king sent another column of Gloom into the sky, it eventually hit a peak and broke off into small projectiles. Upon hitting the surface, each one took the form of one of Hyrules various monsters.
"Sonia!" Rauru's voice echoed as he knelt the other side of his wife.
"She's okay, she'll live, but we need to go, now!" Izuku whispered back.
"You are too late Rauru," Ganondorf boomed "You took for granted the godlike power you had in your hands, do you now see the potential you squandered?! As for her," He carelessly gestured to the prone form for Sonia, "She is merely the first victim of your arrogance, you tried to control me Rauru and you will die knowing you failed!" Before the king could charge, Izuku grabbed his forearm.
"Rauru take your wife and go, I will keep him busy for the moment," Sharing a look, Rauru gave a brief nod, recieving one in return. Scooping his wife into his arms, he ran for the door. Ganondorf raised a hand towards him. There was a wet slashing sound before he yelled in pain.
"You dare!?"
"I would think," Izuku spoke condescendingly, "That any warrior, who has to resort to trickery, substituion and distraction," Ganondorf sneered as he pulled the scimitar from his hand, casting it aside. "Isn't really in any position to be criticizing another for their own abilities or use thereof, I mean you couldn't even beat Rauru when he was holding back, that horde of Molduga? Rauru wasn't even trying then, everyone was just tired, we'd been waiting all day for the 'attack' and honestly I think he was just too hungry to care,"
"I'd watch yourself snivelling weakling, or else your death will be the most painful by far," He snorted,
"Not the first to make that threat, just another on the list of failures too, now if you have nothing intelligent to say," Breaking into a run, he jumped over the edge of the platform, spinning to give Ganondorf a two finger salute. Gloom raced over his head as he pulled out a cloth paraglider. From nearby cliff a small object began to glide towards him. Mineru piloted a Zonai wing, attached on top of a cart with a fan on either wing. Stood at the steering stick in the center Mineru guided the device over to the slowly falling Izuku.
"You come up with the most ridiculous ideas," She scolded him as he landed on the vehicle.
"Oh please, like this isn't fun, look at him melt down," He argued, looking back to the platform Ganondorf stood on. He stared at the retreating duo, roaring with rage when Izuku waved in farewell.
Another shockwave shook the ground. As they all tried to find their balance, a purple warpgate opened up for Naomasa and Rentarou to hop out of. "Ladies, any word?"
"No, the Master Sword went missing the same way he did just before the ground began shaking," Momo shook her head, "We're waiting on the rest of the Round Table," Another warpgate opened. Tetsutetsu and Neito came through, looking around the area. Mirio came from another and found Rentarou.
"Situation?"
"Izuku's been missing for a day, disappeared in a flash of light, Master Sword, key weapon in defending the region disappeared from Zelda's back the same way moments ago, tremors began just after," Peach explained, Shishida appeared from another portal, taking an immediate ready position. "We're going to be heading into Hyrule Castle to figure out what the fuck is going on," Everyone paused when another portal opened and two figures walked out of it. Rentarou and Tsukauchi both bowed their heads, the other Knights quickly picking up on the gesture. Purah tilted her head at the duo as the Court all seemed to take more assurance in their presence.
"What's going on Rentarou?"
"All we know is that yesterday while exploring the tunnels beneath Hyrule Castle, His Majesty, the Learning Queen and the Fighting Queen encountered an individual, as far as we can tell, said individual is responsible for the changes in the terrain around the region, upon attempting to escape a cavein both Queens used expiremental teleportaiong technology, unknowingly bringing themselves forwards in time to several minutes ago, His Majesty disappeared in a flash of light at the same time, moments after reuniting with the Court, Her Highness the Learning Queen had the Master Sword taken from her in a similar way, ever since there has been sequntial tremors," The ground shook again, "Such as that, His Majesty's whereabouts are unknown currently, though we know he is at least armed with Caliburn... should his Quirks be unusable in his situation,"
"Well, at least we know he'll be fighting,"
"Naturally,"
"I'm sorry," Purah interrupted, "But uh... who are you two? And why are these guys bowing to you?" Both man and woman looked to the sheikah scientist curiously.
"Ah, that is my cue," Zelda laughed slightly, "Sorry, everyone this is Purah, lead researcher, a Sheikah and sister of Impa,"
"Check it!" She struck her signature pose.
"Paya, as you know these are my wives, the Court of Queens, these are the Knights of the Round Table, including the King's Hands, and these two," Zelda gestured to the newest arrivals. "This is the Exalted Hisashi Midoriya, and his wife, the Exalted Inko Midoriya, they're Izuku's parents... my in-laws,"
"One set at least," Hisashi joked lightly before his face hardened. "How long will it take to get to the Castle?" Another series of tremors.
"Given that we are such a large party," Zelda began, "We will have to go on foot, it will take two and a half hours to reach the crater, we'll go via the ruins of Castle Town, through the main gates, there should be a tunnel on our way that can act as a shortcut, though it will still take time,"
"Then we better start moving now," Hisashi nodded, "Let's go,"
"We must act quickly to defeat Ganondorf," Rauru hummed, before him gathered the five Sages. Fire, Wind, Water, Lightning and Spirit. Izuku grunted in agreement. "If we work together, using our abilities as a team,"
"Rauru, I need to speak with you in private," He pushed off the wall he'd been leaning against and walked into a small room.
"Very well, we won't be long," The Zonai followed him, closing the door behind him. "What do you,"
"You lose, tomorrow, you fight with all you've got but you still lose,"
"I,"
"The events surrounding my arrival here, I found a body under the Castle, which is built directly over the cavern you plan to fight Ganondorf in, it is no coincidence, tomorrow you fight and you lose," Rauru closed his eyes for a moment, pondering the statement, until he shook his head.
"Maybe so Izuku, but you know as a king," He met the greenette's gaze determined. "It is my duty to try, it was my hubris,"
"No such thing Rauru,"
"But there is Izuku, I wished... naively, for peace, I thought Ganondorf would accept it, that I would not need to destroy him because I could guide him to peace without having to fight, a part of me thought myself strong enough to intimidate Ganondorf doing next to nothing, I must atone for my error in judgement, as well as fullfil my duty to protect my people," A pause "And besides, even if I am to perish tomorrow, Hyrule will not be without leadership, thanks to you Sonia has recovered and is resting safely,"
"Rauru,"
"And even if it does prove impossible now, then I shall merely entrust the future to you Izuku, you gave your Stone to Sonia, so that she can use her powers of Time once more, soon she shall be able to help you return home and when you do, you shall defeat Ganondorf,"
"Thank you my friend, I... your faith is not misplaced,"
"I don't think it could be," Rauru nodded slowly, "Now go, neither you nor Sonia are to be near the battle, stay with her and try to find a way to your time,"
"We will do our best," Izuku agreed before they began to leave the room. "Oh and Rauru if you do unfortunately meet your downfall in the battle tomorrow, know I will avenge you,"
"I'd expect nothing less from the King of Hyrule,"
"Of course, only the best for the king of Hyrule,"
Izuku stopped, looking around. "Here, it is out of sight from the entrance," Sonia looked at him, a slight fire in her eyes. "I am sorry that I have brought you here Sonia, to hurt you like this,"
"Izuku... do not apologize, we... knew something like this must happen to stop him," She gestured to the frozen duo. Ganondorf was already beginning to lean back as Rauru stood with a hand to his chest. The light spiral, exactly like it had been in the future, now originated from Rauru's back. Clearly by sealing only Ganondorf away, Rauru not only sacrificed his life, but his body too. It was unmoving but would eventually fall away into dust, except the arm sealing the Demon King. "Though I ask, why have you not cried?"
"Rauru wasn't just king Sonia, he was a fighter, combatant, staunch defender of his people, he died with honour, sacrificing himself for those above our heads now, he charged to his death with no hesitation, to cry now would be to insult that, I will save the tears for a time when I can memorialize him, make his sacrifice known and remembered, though he died yesterday, he shall remain imortalized when I return to my own time," Sitting down slowly, he sat cross legged on the floor. "So shall you Sonia, though we have known each other for a brief period of time, you and Rauru are my friends, I will not forget you, I shall name many things after you both, mountains, rivers, whole cities and towns, songs will speak of your actions, your help and your persons," Putting his hands together in his lap, he took a deep breath. "Seal me when you are ready Sonia,"
"Thank you Izuku, for your help, for saving me, for all of it,"
"It was my honour to be of aid, Queen Sonia, farewell my friend," Her hand slowly raised as his eyes closed,
"Goodbye... King Midoriya," A light invaded his eyelids for a moment. Opening his eyes again, he found himself once more in the dim cave. Stretching lightly, he stood up. After using Creation to gain some lighting, he could see the entrance, he, Zelda and Linkle had entered through. Below him an expanse stretched into darkness, at the bottom of his vision, something bright caught his attention. Looking down, he saw Sonai's stone by his foot. Picking it up gently, he held it in one hand.
"Rest peacefully old friend," He mused lightly, before walking towards the edge. Already he could tell the darkness covered up the true depth of the area. "Well somebody got busy," Stepping from the ledge, he felt the wind rip through his hair. Fore several minutes he fell, until the ground finally breached the darkness. Rolling in the air, he landed on both feet. Around him the ground rattle from the impact. A metallic rattle had him scour the ground, one the floor, between chunks of rubble, he saw a dirty bronze in the dirt. Walking over and picking it up, he realized he'd found the bracer that had been around Rauru's arm. "And you my friend, I inted to deliver on that promise we made so long ago," Sliding it over his own arm, he found it perfectly fit him. "Well what do ya know?" On the back of his hand, the decorative sleeve finished with an indent perfect for a secret stone. Pressing Sonai's stone into the position, it clicked together softly. Looking at it completely, he clenched his fist. "Though you are not here in flesh, you are with me in spirit, we shall end this as we began, together," His pace was measured as he walked down the dark corridor. Eventually the floor gave way to yet another drop. There was a small path extending over it, ending in a circular platform. "Even gave me a diving board, how considerate," Simply stepping off, he let himself crash into the red floor. Behind him was a great red wall covered in root-like masses of Gloom.
For a moment nothing happened, Izuku began to step out of the small crater he'd made. "Ganondorf! Come coward and die to your King!" Sevreal miasmas formed in the area in front of him. Drawing Caliburn he readied to battle. A Bokoblin covered in Gloom shrieked before charging him. With a flourish Caliburn carved through its wooden club before a sharp change in direction decapitated the creature. Looking at the rest of the army, he flicked the blood from his blade onto the floor. "No amount of meat shields will protect you craven counterfeit king," Smiling as he slowly stepped forwards, he rolled his shoulders, "Raise an army, raise a thousand, it makes no difference, you will die Ganondorf and you will die afraid,"
Izuku did not reallt care for how much time had passed. Truly it had been too long since he had been able to truly stretch as he was. He had mastered All for One, sure, he did not fall to the alluring call of holding every single power. But there was still an itch, to display his power, to use what he had collected and curated. Blackwhip operated on his subconscious, striking the ground when it could not find monsters. Occasionally it shifted into Rivet Stab to impale rows of different Moblins, Bokoblins and Lizalfos. Before long he realized he'd carved his way through the majority of the creatures. As he slaughtered the last mindless drones, more miasma coalesced into a puddle of Gloom. The King watched as it slithered towards him before sprouting five limbs that each ended in a hand. In each palm was a sickly yellow eye, that locked onto him. They all screeched at him as the Gloom puddle continued to rush him. It suddenly jarred as Rivet Stab impaled the eyes, with a flash of Hellflame, massive infernos engulfed the Gloom limbs as the screamed. Once they returned to the gaseous miasma, Izuku stood, anticipating what was to come next. The vapor trails began to form together and before the cloud took true form, he could hear Ganondorf's aged voice.
"You... have waylaid me long enough irksome rat," The upper half of Ganondorf's weakened body formed like a mirage, with wisps of red floating off him. "I expected you to die not long after I killed that annoying Rauru, how you still stand before me, I knew you were taken from this time, left in the past where you stood by and watched me conquer,"
"You mean watch you lose," Izuku snarled back, "As for how, well, your attempt to kill Sonia? It failed much like everything else you've ever done, the Safe of Time helped me return,"
"No matter, my strength has almost fully returned, you will not be able to witness another sunrise, you will never see the surface again," Five more clouds began taking shape, appearing like the sealed form of Ganondorf/ "Go my dark servants, end this whelps life, cut him down where he stands," The ghost faded as the five heads lifted to look at him with red eyes. Izuku lifted Caliburn as one came towards him with a polearm. A metallic clang as he deflected the attack, ready to counter with his own. An issue arose however, when Caliburn made contact with the false flesh and merely acted like a baseball bat. The moment of pause was enough for Izuku to be launched away by a sweeping blow. Getting to his feet, he saw the five phantom like Ganondorfs lumbering towards him.
'Your blade... now Ganondorf has regathered his strength, the Darkness he commands is impervious to such attacks' A voice spoke in his mind.
'Who are you?'
'Summon the Master Sword, Hero of Courage'
'Summon? The Master Sword cannot be summoned'
'You need it, it knows this, call out for its aid and it will come to you' Holding Caliburn in his left, he put his right hand out in front of him. Picturing the Master Sword, he felt the warmth of the stone before his fingers wrapped around something solid.
"Izuku," He looked to his side,
"Rauru?" A ghostly green viasge of the ancient king stood beside him.
"I am here too," Sonai spoke from his other side, appearing just the same.
"How are you both..."
"We are here due to unfinished business, you still have to uphold your end of the bargain after all," Rauru smiled again, "Though we have one final way to give our aid, put your swords together,"
"Very well," He extended both arms in front of him, swords in hand, perfectly parallel. Rauru put his hand over Izuku's right, Sonia over his left. There was a bright light before Izuku found himself with both hands around the handle of one blade. Caliburn's hilt had changed to look similar to the Master Sword's. The blade glowed softly with runes down the spine giving a much harsher light.
"Your weapons are now one," Rauru spoke again, "It shall cut through even the blackest Dark,"
"That works for me," Izuku grinned, immediately getting back into action. The polearm fake Ganondorf swung again, with one foot forwards. Skidding to a halt, the greenette ducked under the attack and dragged the new Caliburn upwards. The moment first contact was made, a massive crashing echoed around the are, shaking the ground under his feet. His new glowing blade easily cleaved the opponent in half. An earsplitting scream as it dissolved into miasma. Izuku took a deep breath, holding Caliburn just under his eyes. "Ready yourself Ganondorf, I have warned you already, you get no more quarter, now you face the King and his Sword that Conquers the Darkness," Flourishing his weapon, he held it ready, aiming at the still lumbering Ganondorf's. "Shine Caliburn! Let their last experience be tasting your steel!" A great swing sent a cresent of energy towards them. Though it did not destroy them, he could see the steaming wounds on their chests. A wide, deep grin split his face, "This is going to be fun,".
Their group hurried through the ruins of Castle Town. Zelda, Linkle and Urbosa leading the charge as they began crossing the bridge to the castle gates. Ahead of them the ground suddenly burst upwards into a stalagmite. There was a deep laugh before several clouds puffed around them. "Yiga," Riju growled, "We don't have time for this,"
"You won't get a step fur-" A Blademaster began to speak, until Hisashi had strode forwards and grabbed them by the bottom of the head.
"I will go where I please," He growled, the blade in the Yigas's hand clattered to the floor. "Inko, could you be a dear?"
"Of course honey," With a wave of her hand the blade lifted up and immediately began dancing around the area. Each of the Yiga had just enough time to react in shock before their head was liberated from their shoulders. It stopped inches away from the one in Hisashi's hand.
"Now, something tells me you might know wh-," The ground rumbled dangerously below them much stronger than before. Then from one side of what remained of the grounded castle, a massive creature began to emerge. Twisted horns framing its head, coated in a layer of shifting Gloom. It had a mane of crimson blood red hair that faded into black scales over a pulse glowing red body. It had two pairs of black limbs underneath the fourth and sixth spikes that ran down its back with another pair halfway along the body. A great tail that sprouted hair the same colour as its mane seemed to move slowly as it ascended into the sky. "Well you're no help anymore," There was a loud crunch as the Yiga went limp before getting tossed to the waters below. Before Hisashi could speak again,
"Look!" Rentarou pointed, towards the head of the dragon. They could all see a speck of green hanging onto the red mane, just underneath one of the overgrown horns. No sooner had they all seen him, did his voice ring out.
"GANONDORF... I'M GOING TO SLICE YOU FROM NECK TO NAPE AND GUT YOU LIKE THE FUCKING OVERGROWN BRAINLESS FISH YOU ARE!"
"Wow he sounds mad," Purah hummed. The Court, Round Table and his parents all looked to the others.
"Nah," Toru shook her head, "He's annoyed because whoever Ganondorf is, clearly didn't want to accept defeat and turned themself into that, which means it's gone from a quick stroll to a minor inconvenience and Izuku despises minor inconveniences,"
"Can he not simply destroy it like he did Demise?" Urbosa questioned,
"Depends," Yuyu shrugged, "To sublimate that thing, he'd have to produce enough energy to skip liquifying it, with Demise, he was smaller body, less energy to break chains, plus he had Barrier to contain the damage, this? Depending on how close they are to ground, how strong the punch is... he might wipe out Central Hyrule and a little bit of surrounding areas,"
"There's also the damage of using too much energy," Nemuri added, "Risking nuclear fission which, while radioactivity is a solvable problem, it would still do plenty of irreversible damage before it was dealt with," They heard a loud thudding and saw Izuku had scaled the maw of the dragon and was punching it repeatedly between the eyes. A loud scream as it flicked its head and sent him further into the sky. Once he stopped ascending Izuku was hardly a speck against the blue.
"Oh fuck," Linkle muttered as they saw a yellow glow begin to spread, "It's happening again, he's going to disappear," Suddenly the dragon began to glow and shrink. A cloud of Gloom came together around it as it grew smaller and smaller. Until the cloud imploded and became a large humanoid figure.
"WHAT?!" They heard the figure yell, "HOW?!"
"BECAUSE," Izuku roared "I!" Though they couldn't see it properly, they still saw Caliburn's blade glint in the sunlight. "AM!" He began rapidly descending towards the new figure, "KING!" Their bodies collided and rolled through the air. Everyone watched in silence as they fell through the blue. Over their heads the duo soared, nobody moving from sheer awe until they crashed down back in the ruins of Castle Town. One last tremor shook everybody from their stupors and they ran over. Previously there had been a fountain with a statue in the middle of the central square. It, like most of Castle Town was still under repair from the seiges leading up to and during the Calamity. Now however it was more likely to be a decorative pond. As the group arrived, civilians in the area were gathered around the edges. Izuku stood with a knee on Ganondorf's chest with Caliburn hilt deep. A pool of blood began spreading from underneath the Gerudo man. "The curse ends today, once and for all," Two astral figures appeared at his shoulders. "Sonia, Rauru, you have been avenged, rest peacefully now friends,"
"Lord Ganondorf!" A voice cried as Yiga began appearing. Izuku hardly twitched as Blackwhip exploded from his back, finding each Yiga and turning into Rivet Stab to impale them.
"You will," A Blademaster appeared ready to bring his sword down on Izuku's head.
"I will...what?" His head snapped up to look at the painted mask. "Look at what I have done and ask yourself, is aggravating my further really a wise decision?" Before another word could be uttered. Blackwhip and River Stab wisps came together to turn into Hydra, snatching the red clad fighter in a bright blue maw. Caliburn grated against the dead mand's sternum as Izuku lifted it back out. A moment of silence passed. "And stay dead this time you bastard,"
"IZUKU!" Over fifty voices rang out in a range of emotions. He spun around and let out a deep laugh of relief.
"Hi guys, sorry I've been busy, work was a nightmare,"
