"Enough! Please stop this," Loki says.
"You will watch it again and again," replies a cold and impassive voice. "First, you will learn about all the possibilities, and then, we will choose which one will happen in this reality."
Loki looks at the screen. He hears Sylvie fiddling around next to him. She struggles to reach the dagger. She had already tried to escape twice. But Loki is afraid to even move without permission. The price was too high.
The place looks like the Time Theater from their TVA. Sylvie's hands are tied and that's why she can't get the weapon from the hiding place. But Loki is free. He sits on the floor, looking at the screen. A man stands behind them. This time, no apples and peaceful conversations. He knows everything about them and he knows how to break Loki, how to subdue him and deprive him of any possibility of resistance. The screen goes blank for a moment and starts glowing again. Loki closes his eyes, but immediately feels pain - someone else's magic does not allow him to lower his eyelids.
"Take a look... You're afraid of that, aren't you? You'll do what I said. Otherwise... Otherwise, I'll let you choose from what you're seeing right now."
Sylvie hisses "Sick bastard." Loki doesn't say anything in response. He did not think that he could see something that would lead him to such horror.
He is shown how Mobius chokes on his own blood. How Mobius falls from a great height. As Loki's dagger pierces his chest. Loki does not know what he is seeing: real events from different timelines or an illusion created by Kang? He had already seen dozens of different versions of Mobius' death. But the most terrible of this scenes still stands before his eyes. The trickster saw himself on the screen. And a bloodied dagger in his hands. And the pale face of Mobius. Blood trickled down his chin. Loki saw his own hands tremble as he looked at Mobius. The agent breathed in for the last time in his life and could only say: "Loki ... It's not your fault ... It was necessary. Everything is fine."
Loki trembling. Now he knew it was not an illusion. If he wanted to inflict as much pain as possible, Kang would show something very different. Mobius would say he hates him. That he is disappointed. That he was wrong about the trickster.
But the man only whispered that this wasn't his fault. After Loki stabbed him. The trickster had no idea what exactly happened in that timeline. But Mobius... He tried to calm Loki, even in this situation.
God looked at the screen and saw nothing. Sylvie finally reached for the dagger. But Loki felt a strange tingle all over his body. In the next second, something happened to him or to the universe. The room vanished, time seemed to be on fast-forward. Loki blinked and found himself in a completely different place. He saw a familiar silhouette. Still not believing his own eyes and not understanding what was happening, Loki struggled to his feet. He saw Mobius. He was alive, he was real. Loki's heart beat wildly in his chest. Loki didn't know what had just happened. He wasn't sure it wouldn't happen again.
"Hello?" Loki said uncertainly.
